I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Hey all. How is everyone?
I have my transfer today. I'm worried because I get pre period cramps a week before I'm due on (amongst other symptoms) and that's what I've been feeling past few days. Like I'm coming on my period. I'm worried that this is going somehow going to negatively impact my transfer 😔 😢 I'm so tired of this worrying and it never working

@Sherr33 good luck for today! and try not to worry about this - where you are in your cycle will have been taken into consideration, and lots of people experience those cramps - you shouldn't worry. but if you are worried later, is there an opportunity for you to reach out to your clinic for a pre transfer chat?

@SamVan @Mseddy thank you! I was just having a bit of a down moment. I've been very teary over the weekend, thinking about all of this. It does really take it out of you. I had hopes on this 2nd, (everything looking like it should, feeling good etc), and now feeling like it hasn't worked, is just too much!

back at work today, with some nice plans in the evening for some distractions. how are you both feeling? symptom wise, and medication wise?

and everyone else? who is on for a transfer this week?

I will email the clinic for reassurance or advice. I just hope they don't get annoyed with me.

So I'm working half day today because my transfer is half 1. And then I've taken tomorrow and Wednesday off. But I'm dreading Thursday and Friday because I'm a weirdo who is going to think omg carrying my laptop and everything or any movement I've ruined my chances. I can't believe how panicky I am this time. Maybe because of the failed transfers 😔 @monicabella1234 how long did you take off work or have you limited certain activities

I don't think you are a weirdo @Sherr33 - it's annoying how much our thoughts and emotions can get hold of us during this time.

I had mine last Tuesday at 2.30pm - I took the rest of the afternoon off (and on the sofa), I WFH on Wednesday and then back in the office on Thursday. Basically took it easy fore the first week, no strenuous exercise, which is what my clinic advised.

I'm sure the clinic won't be annoyed - they must get all sorts of questions, and they are there to advise you.

Try not to be worried emailing them. I’m sure they would want you to if you had any queries or concerns. All the best of luck today!!! X

@roowoop Hope you are feeling well and have everything you need to keep you that way in this tww 💓 was it quite busy? I didn't realise certain clinics did transfers on Sunday.

@monicabella1234 my clinic just said my lining is fine and ready for transfer and I'm on medication which shouldn't be bringing on a period. I'm assuming they mean the progesterone and estrogen.

I'm just going to try and relax (if that's possible) got the cooking done, laundry is on and vacuumed the house so things are okay for next few days.

It was very quiet. They didn’t even have a receptionist hahah! I’ve taken today and tomorrow off for some breathing space so gonna distract myself with lots of trash tv. Other than that I feel okay atm, trying to not get into my head too much. (Yea right 😂)
It sounds like it’s all good to go for you. Deep breath and relax your shoulders. So hard to calm down the brain right now isn’t it!

Morning ladies,

Currently taking my estrogen and started progesterone yesterday. Not been feeling great been feeling nausea and vertigo with the estrogen which hasn't been nice. Transfer will be on Friday.

@Sherr33 sometimes progesterone and estrogen can cause cramping so it could well be that causing you the feeling. Also regarding worrying about the laptop I know it's hard to not feel like everything impacts your chances but I know someone who walked out the clinic after transfer and fell over and it was still a success so hopefully that gives some reassurance. Hope it all goes well for you today, sending love x

Thank you. Honestly feel very bad for whoever had the full but hearing that has made me feel better! It's so hard not to let everything create doubts and worries.
Oh okay it's just I've never had this previously, maybe it's a good sign!

@roowoop yess that's my plans for today and tomorrow! Then prep for a job interview for Wednesday. Wishing beyond anything that 2025 is THE year for all of us. Honestly comedy is just what we need right now. A good distraction.

I'm taking off work from the day of transfer until OTD. I work in a high stress job and I spend a fair proportion of my day at deliveries. I don't think mentally ill be able to cope watching others give birth when I'm in the tww limbo. It's going to be tough going back if it hasn't worked, but I've been here before, I've coped in the past and I'll cope again if I need to!

Hey I hope I not late to this party, I transferred 2 embryos on Thursday last week, test day is on the 20th.

Has anyone had any success with day 6 5CB and 3BC embryos? Just a bit worried as in our first round they said they wouldn't transfer 2 at the same time because I'm 34, but obviously now they have. I'm worried they have low hopes for these working if they've been willing to transfer 2.

So I don't know how I feel about today. I went in calm, hopeful. And then my bladder was about to burst. Once we got to the theatre room for the actual transfer we were disappointed that they had only thawed one embryo when my clinic and Dr had specified double embryo after failed implantation. And then rather than apologise for the misshap..I get told oh well it's not usually a nhs protocol and oh you're still so young. Sorry but I don't need that. Nor do I need you to make me feel stupid by saying oh there's nothing to say a double embryo helps it's usually for twin pregnancies. My Dr wouldn't have suggested it if it was that! I'm trying to remain positive but honestly sometimes clinician and professionals are so arrogant in the way they speak to patients and so condescending!

Hi all! Hope everyone is ok.
Is anyone dealing with busy clinics after Christmas? My lining is 8.5mm so ready to go but I can’t have transfer until next Friday due to how busy they are 😞 we are private so was hoping we wouldn’t have any delays.

Just come from a scan, my lining hasn't grown since last week and they're not sure if I've ovulated so said safest option is to cancel this cycle and try again next time.

I knew it was a possibility but I'm really upset anyway, its such a waste of hope/time and of course money as I still have to pay for the scans. My lining has been thin often so now it just seems like a stupid approach not to throw more meds at it from the start.

It's the anniversary of my 1st baby's due date this week (lost to a TFMR in 2023) and I've got 2 friends due pretty soon, having this cycle cancelled just makes all those things feel even heavier. Can't seem to catch a break ever!

@Orangewillow i am so sorry to hear this. It’s completely normal to feel all the feelings you are having.
Awful timing as well with the anniversary of your TFMR and your friends due dates 😞
Have the clinic suggested a change for next time? They should have ideas for adaptations they can make for you.

With my first transfer the same happened to me, I had a scan on the Monday 2nd sep and didn't have transfer til following fri 13th. I was scared lining would get too thick or something but it was fine and it worked!

it’s 6dpt for me and a stark white negative on frer so I’m pretty sure I’m out for this month. Sigh. Will try again in April.

@Sherr33 I had cramping too and was told by my clinic that it’s common. No idea if it’s good or bad though. I think very little is known about what really affects implantation. I’m sorry they messed up your transfer! You still have good chances with one but it definitely sucks if they said there’d be 2. When I did my nhs round I found it just disorganized.

@monicabella1234 the up and downs are intense for sure. So over the process at this point.

@Orangewillow so sorry it didn’t work out, and about your past tfmr. It definitely stings so bad everytime there’s a delay. I remember crying at the reception desk when they delayed my cycle due to clinic mistake. You are totally right to feel upset and frustrated. And I feel you on seeing everyone else have their babies. So many friends who started trying after me have now had their babies and I’m still here. It’s hard not to feel down about it.

Ahhh yeah I’ve found they are very busy after Xmas. I’m NHS. I’ve had private before for a completely unrelated medical need and didn’t notice any difference in the care. Only thing I thought was that it was much quicker because you’re paying. That’s quite a while until transfer a week Friday if you’ve already had your scan. @Cosyseason1234

I thought this that my lining was too thick at 11.2mm 08/01 and I had my transfer today. But oh well we roll with it

Yeah it was just I haven't had the cramps before or sharp needle like vaginal pain before transfer but it's okay it's done now. Going to try and be positive .. and gassy 😆

@Cosyseason1234 Baseline scan is 16/01 and transfer is scheduled for 22/01 so next week.

Sorry you've had to postpone @Orangewillow I suppose it's better than them going ahead anyway and not protecting your little embryo! Sending a hug, the timing is tough.

@Cosyseason1234 they told me they have quite a big window for timing manipulation if they need it. So I'm sure things will all work out :) there is currently a planned wait of 8 days between my day 12 scan and transfer. Can't remember what the wait was the last time I did a FET, I want to say it was only 5 days. I guess there is a lot of variation
