I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Awww @SlinkMcSlink I'm so sorry you lost one of your embryos, that's really hard to accept...hope this wee one nestles in well to make up for it.

Woken up to brown spotting , been in severe pain all week . Been so upset , thinking that’s it ?!

I feel awful since FET on Tuesday afternoon I’ve had a really bad cold and I’m so worried it’s doomed already 😔😔

@Rebekah77 don’t overthink it,lotssss of people have spotting in early pregnancy! When is OTD? Hope you are ok xx

I’ve always had bleeding in early pregnancy
just combined with the awful pain I’ve had all week I’ve been a wreck since 3am

now got into bed for cuddles, ring the clinic at 8 see what they say

@Rebekah77 it's such a mess with your head, as spotting can be a bad sign but also a good one. But then having no symptoms is also stressful. 🙈🤣 It's the not knowing though, isn't it. Very hard.

@SlinkMcSlink sorry about the thaw. That's my worst nightmare as I only have one. I'm pleased your second one was OK and fingers crossed, this is the one! 🤞

Currently sat in my clinic’s waiting room waiting for my FET.

I’ve gone OTT with the full bladder instruction and suffering a bit 😬

About a litre of beetroot and pomegranate juice was downed before we left the house. God help my bladder

Good luck. Honestly I can never get it right. I was the same had to walk up and down in the small cubicle to stop myself from bursting. 💓

Oh thats incredibly stressful! Glad the second one made it, and hope it gets extra cosy in there!

@TheseCalmSeas good luck! I was the same with my first FET, was pacing the floors thought I'd wet myself on the bed 😂 that post transfer pee is amazing 😂😂

Afternoon ladies,

Opinions on testing a little early? I'm due to test 11dp5dt but my husband will be going to a work course straight after and so we are considering testing 9dp5dt so we have time to digest together, but we're not sure if it's too soon 😬

This time I tested around that time too! Haha. I just wanted to get the bad news over and done with but was surprised instead 🎊

The post transfer wee was bliss! Poor lady due in before us didn’t have a full enough bladder so we skipped the queue. Now at home and feel like napping & watching telly all day so that’s what I’m doing!

@Hopefullyonedaysoon , I’ve always tested early and known a week before the official testing date. They say don’t but it’s torture!

@Hopefullyonedaysoon I’ll defo be testing earlier and telling myself it’s because it’s too soon if it’s negative! I think do what works for you and your partner ❤️

I agree on this however my partner really doesn't want me to test. I think the time I would test falls on DD birthday weekend. I test early for myself to keep me sane. Time moves so slow through IVF it's torture. What time are you booked in tomorrow? I'm in at 13.40 xx

My hubby wants to wait until OTD too and I'd test before if I thought I could keep a poker face but I can't 😂

Can we have baths after embryo transfer?! Obviously not same day but surely warm ones a few days later is ok? I loveee a bath 🛀

I'm feeling ok. Very eager to get going now. Going to keep myself busy in the morning.

Erm they don't recommend submerging in hot water so it depends how hot you'd have it really. You don't want to raise your body temp so advise against hot baths, hot tubs, water bottles etc. I've just had my final hot bath! Showers it is from now on 🫠

Regarding the hot baths - iv had 2 transfers ( one failed and one mmc) and my nurse and doctor said it was absolutely fine to have a bath as long as it was a few hours after transfer 😣 why is there so much mixed information with ivf!

Personally I would stick to showers just because there is so much conflicting information. Good luck for your transfers tomorrow 💓

I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no rhyme nor reason as to why some conceive and some don’t. None of it makes any sense. How are babies born in war zones? Or smokers/druggies?

Be kind to yourself. (She said after just having mayonnaise and panicking haha)
