Hi all ☺️

I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Please join this thread if you are on a similar timescale 💫

Congrats all who've got positives so far! Hope those waiting are doing as well as can be... I am also waiting but for my period to arrive so I can restart the FET process, hopefully will go ahead and I'll be in the Feb transfer gang

MS2692 · 21/01/2025 16:30

@roowoop congratulations on your BFP that’s such great news!! Yes the progesterone bloat isn’t pleasant 😂 have you got a scan booked in? X

😘 Not yet, I have to call them on Thursday to book me in, likely for the beginning of Feb! Feels like ages away haha!

How did your transfer go?

Waitingformystork · 21/01/2025 17:30

@MS2692 I hope your transfer went well, and you can keep yourself distracted during the tww!

@Daniki that's good timing. Will you take any time off after transfer? I'm thinking of taking a day or 2, depending on what day it falls. Did you do a medicated cycle or natural?

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 21/01/2025 17:46

Congratulations ladies! This is proving to be a very positive thread, hope the stats remain in our favour for those yet to transfer and test.

I'm due to start progesterone pessaries tomorrow morning. Do I have to lie for half an hour after I've taken them? Seriously hoping not but saw it on a YouTube video (yes I am panicking that I'll do it wrong 😅- I had crinone gel last time)

@Cosyseason1234 I'm doing the same as you...arranging some consolation prizes if it doesn't work. My husband and I are going to the 6 nations on 9th February and I will either be celebrating or having a few drinks to drown my sorrows xx

Feelingmindful · 21/01/2025 17:47

Thanks everyone for your lovely words.

Sending lots of baby dust and positive vibes to you all. Keeping all of my fingers crossed. ❤

@paintfairy That’s amazing advice - thank you. I am away next week on a business trip so I’m hoping that will keep me distracted. I spoke to GP today who said she will also refer me for an early scan even though I have one booked via the clinic so I’m not going to say no for another chance of a scan

@Sherr33 @monicabella1234 @roowoop congratulations!

@monicabella1234 that makes us transfer twins!

Feelingmindful · 21/01/2025 17:49

@Eagerlywaiting1990 i found that when I lied down for around 20 mins after the pessaries I saw less residues. Having said that I didn’t always lie down.

Daniki · 21/01/2025 17:53

@Waitingformystork no don't think I'll bother I think work will keep me a bit distracted from teaching for the tests😂 I only made it to 4dp5dt last time 😂 I work in a school office so it's not massively stressful and my boss knows all about it so she is very mindful! But if your work is stressful I'd recommend taking it off, just so you can relax! Mine was a medicated cycle. Have been fine with meds but I have noticed today and yest I'm quite nauseas from the oestrogen🤮 how about you?

Rebekah77 · 21/01/2025 18:25

Congrats to all the positives ,so nice to see

day 6 after transfer for me . Feeling disgusting . Dare not eat anything as feel so sick

hopefully get back to work tomorrow and out of my blanket pile 😅

Waitingformystork · 21/01/2025 18:33

@Daniki I'm doing a modified natural cycle, so the only meds I've taken so far has been letrozole, which has made me tired with potentially some insomnia. A great combination. Although the lack of sleep might be because I'm anxious.

@Rebekah77 sorry to hear you are feeling so rough, I hope it eases soon

SlinkMcSlink · 21/01/2025 20:12

I can’t take it off as I’m at teacher and I’m already having the full day because of sedation. Although the next day I will have some PPA (planning, prep, assessment) time so at least I’ll only be teaching for half a day. Then I can sit at the computer.

The irony of it is that the parents will flap I’m not there, the kids will flap and so do I. But it’s my life.
If only they knew! Mind you then it would probably circulate gossip which I don’t want. I’m oddly relaxed about transfer tomorrow. I think I’m knackered from work maybe?

Cosyseason1234 · 21/01/2025 20:38

It’s so lovely to see all these positives 🥰

@Eagerlywaiting1990 the morning and lunchtime ones I haven’t been able to lie down for,tbf not as much comes back out as I had imagined?! If you put them in the back way nothing at all comes out 😆 good luck with them! I’ve felt fine since starting on Sunday, weird dreams and I’m thirsty all the time but all good really.

@Daniki i found I was weirdly nauseous after one glass of wine with dinner at the weekend! Couldn’t enjoy my last glass before transfer 😂

Daniki · 21/01/2025 20:44

@Cosyseason1234 it's so annoying 😂 seems to be gone now it comes and goes 🤪

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 21/01/2025 21:29

Thanks ladies. I've been told to start vaginally but not really sure why. @Cosyseason1234 I remember the weird dreams last time now that you mention it 😅. I don't think I'll be able to lie down in the morning either so I'll just clench and hope for the best 😂

My clinic recommends alternating so front end in the evening then off to bed and back end in the morning. This is my fourth time so very used to it! I never lie down either way unless I’m going to sleep

Cosyseason1234 · 22/01/2025 10:30

Is anyone else nauseous on the progesterone? I am on day 4 and woke up feeling so sick, really hoping it’s a side effect and not a sickness bug as I’ve got transfer booked in for Friday 😣

OP posts:
Hopefullyonedaysoon · 22/01/2025 10:33

@Cosyseason1234 yep, I've been feeling sick for about 2 weeks now. Thinks it's all the different meds. Hope you feel better x

SlinkMcSlink · 22/01/2025 13:07

So a stressful few hours. First embryo didn’t make it through the thawing process so they did another one which did! 😃 I cried my eyes out.

Just woke up from sedation and the doctor has printed me this. It the small white line that I’ve circled. Last time they didn’t print me this but they must know how upsetting it can be when the first embryo didn’t thaw.

Awwwww @SlinkMcSlink what a lovely gesture 🥹 so kind of them to go the extra mile when they knew you needed it. Hope you are ok and can have a good rest this afternoon.

@Hopefullyonedaysoon that makes me feel so much better thank you. Sorry that you have been feeling rough but I’m glad that it’s a side effect and not a sickness bug,it would be just my luck 🤣

Aww glad the second one was a success @SlinkMcSlink hehe my scan looks like an alien rather than a womb lol trust me to get a funny looking scan .

fingers crossed for a comfortable 2WW

doing some shorter days as the pain & sickness is wiping me out ! Making me nervous but think I’m gonna wait until the second test date to test . Too nervous to do it over the weekend before work etc was tempted to just take a test with me and do at end of shift Sunday

Iv been quite nauseas the last few days I was awake at 2 and found it hard to go back to sleep with how sick I felt. But I'm not on progesterone yet so assuming the estrogen, altho didn't have this the last time. They recommends to spread it out into 3 doses a day but I'm taking them all at once this time because my head is like a sieve so assuming that's the cause 😂

Cosyseason1234 · 22/01/2025 16:49

@Daniki can u take them 3 times a day instead? I’ve taken the tablets morning lunch and dinner and only very mild nausea. Tbf I think it’s the progesterone making me nauseous but who knows at this point 🤣

OP posts:
Daniki · 22/01/2025 20:08

@Cosyseason1234 it is the way they recommend to take them 😂 no I just always seem to forget the mid day one and take it late then! 🫣😂
