Hi all ☺️

I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Please join this thread if you are on a similar timescale πŸ’«

@cleggrickman my OTD is 27th but going to test on the 26th as my husband will be home so we can do it together. My husband actually said I should test but I can’t do it because until we get to the date I don’t think I’d believe the test if it was negative I’d tell myself it’s because I tested too early and try and hold out hope.
Good luck for Friday!! I really hope you can relax about it all, I told myself the same thing, think this is the worse I’ve been out of all the 4!!

@Mseddy thank you so much for your comment, it just makes me feel better knowing I’m not going insane and other women think how I do. It’s such a hard thing to go through and speaking to friends who haven’t done ivf just don’t get it so it really means a lot β™₯️
also lovely to hear you’ve got your little miracle right there with you ✨✨

Hi, hope you don’t mind me joining this thread, I’ve felt so lonely in this journey (my husband is my rock but sometimes you need to talk to other women going through it).
I had my transfer last Monday 13th and I’ve really relaxed and done everything right, I’m on progesterone injections and pessaries, estrogen and blood thinners so it’s a lot but I’m willing to do anything to have this baby. I’ve had a lot of symptoms, fatigue, nausea and very sore boobs but then woke up this morning and I feel like my boobs aren’t as sore anymore and I’m really freaking out it’s failed again. This is our 4th transfer, the first one ended in miscarriage and the second 2 failed so I feel like I’m reading into everything and stressing about every little thing which I know is not good!
has anyone had it where their boobs weren’t as sore but then it came back?
Thanks 😊

Hi! I didn’t have any symptoms at all with my successful FET except for period pain like cramping and I was going insane worrying that that meant it hadn’t worked but I tested on 9dp5dt and it was a BFP - hope that helps!

Hopefullyonedaysoon · 20/01/2025 18:43

@Elena3 uti is ok now, they tested me at the clinic day before transfer when I went in for my progesterone blood test, it was negative but they only did a dip test and I don't really trust their accuracy. Still had symptoms transfer day so spoke to the GP who gave me some antibiotics (after a lot of explanation around why I needed pregnancy safe ones) and they seem to have done the trick feeling a lot better now.
I did double check the antibiotics with the clinic twice as was super nervous as the GP was a bit clueless and I have a lot of distrust for health professionals after the loss of my son.

Apparently d-mannose is good for prevention - recommended by my acupuncturist - basically it's the extract that occurs in cranberries, maybe could help you, just double check it's pregnancy safe. Hoping this week goes quickly for you so you can get to transfer day x

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 20/01/2025 19:30

@Cosyseason1234 haha glad it's not just me. I know what you mean, I'm transferring on 28th and I wish I could just click my fingers and make that tomorrow. How you feeling for Friday? @cleggrickman I see you're Friday as well. Either of you got any nice plans for the tww?

@Kirstie16 you're half way there - well done you! Sorry it's been such a tough road so far. Hopefully this time is the charm!

Hope everyone else is doing ok - I see there's a mix of various different stages with the common denominator being - waiting...the joys!

Feelingmindful · 20/01/2025 19:45

Thanks guys! I tested this morning and we got our first ever positive after over 7 long years of trying!

@Daniki the clinic have suggested injecting on my upper thighs if the rash doesn’t go away, although whilst the rash is there there I didn’t get a reaction from todays injection. So strange!

@Kirstie16, I had similar symptoms where I felt nauseous for 3 days the week after the transfer. I’ve only started getting the sore boobs the last 2 days but very on and off. The only thing consistent for the last week has been the fatigue and constantly feeling sleepy, but some days more than others. It’s the complete opposite of the symptoms I had last time which was full on, so much so that I thought it had worked but it turned out it was just the progesterone.

@cleggrickman I would have tested a week ago but my DH was adamant we waited until the OTD just so I don’t stress myself out if it came out negative, like I did last time.

Congratulations!! That's amazing news! What are the next steps now?

So my clinic do a BETA on day 10 so not the full 2 weeks to wait! My DD birthday falls slap bang in the middle of it so going to try keep myself busy with all things birthdays. Our last attempt was bang on a year to the date of this cycle! Just hoping for a better outcome for this one xx

Daniki · 20/01/2025 19:56

@Feelingmindful woohoo congrats! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ™ŒπŸ» I can imagine you're walking on air right now πŸ₯°

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 20/01/2025 19:58

@Feelingmindful massive congratulations! Such lovely news xx

Kirstie16 · 20/01/2025 20:02

@Feelingmindful CONGRATULATIONS πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ amazing news! So happy for you xx

Feelingmindful · 20/01/2025 20:04

@cleggrickman Thank you! I’m still trying to get my head wrapped around it.

Ooo, I would love a BETA test for reassurance but unfortunately my clinic do not do that, just ask us to test on 13DPT and then a scan between 6-7 weeks. I’ve got mine booked in but the wait is going to be so difficult. I think I might keep on testing for the extra reassurance.

Keeping all my fingers crossed for you. I suppose your daughter’s birthday will be a distraction from it all!

@Daniki @Eagerlywaiting1990 @Kirstie16 Thank you! I am literally so shocked, I keep checking the test to make sure I have read it right but it’s finally starting to sink in!

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 20/01/2025 20:09

@Feelingmindful I can only imagine. I'm sure there were many tears of joy? Must be the best feeling ever?
Hoping we all get to join you soon xxx

Elena3 · 20/01/2025 20:13

@Feelingmindful congratulations, excellent news!

@Hopefullyonedaysoon I completely understand and can relate to what you say about distrust to health professionals, really sorry for your loss...

For the same reason I didn't get in touch with my GP practice at all during those UTI outbreaks. What are they going to do? To test me? I don't need the tests, I already know what it is. Then in the best case scenario they would give me probably nitrofurantoin which you can now get from Boots prescription free.

Over the counter cranberry powder they sell as a cystitis relief is a joke. I do believe in herbs overall, and d-mannose would most likely help (added it to my basket) but not in this sodium bicarbonate with cranberry flavour they sell here, they are laughing at women.

My sister in law recommended me some Polish supplement which I have been using, it is called fitolizyna (available via amazon etc). "Fitolizyna is a dietary supplement and herbal paste that is used to support kidney and urinary tract health. It contains concentrated herbal extracts and is used to treat urinary tract infections and inflammation. ". My godmother sent me some antibiotics from Latvia (she is a nurse), but hopefully I wont need those.

SlinkMcSlink · 20/01/2025 20:45

@Feelingmindful Wow!! Congratulations xx

Hopefullyonedaysoon · 20/01/2025 20:53

@Feelingmindful yay! That's fantastic, so happy for you ❀️❀️❀️

@Elena3 I didn't realize you could get nitrofurantoin without prescription now, that's interesting. The problem is I have endometriosis on my bladder which causes pain when weeing sometimes so it's hard for me to tell genuine uti. I ask for culture and explain the issue with endometriosis but they never listen.

You're right I firmly believe that the issue is women's health, it mostly impacts women so it doesn't get funded the same. I had an episiotomy after my son and after 2 days the stitches broker and it opened up, was told to just leave it unstitched to heal up and have salt baths, I said to my husband I can't imagine a man going to the dr with a testical split open being told to just leave it and have a bath 😑

Elena3 · 20/01/2025 21:04

@Feelingmindful , yes, it is under UTI treatment from Boots online, I think Superdrugs also does it. You can collect the next day and it is a three day course.
I agree with you. A friend of mine gave birth and stitches down there got infected. She contacted her local gp practice and you will never believe the advice she received ...'perhaps your husband can take a photo of how it looks and you could email this to us'? I don't know if this is even legal.

Mseddy · 21/01/2025 06:12

Congratulations @Feelingmindful ! Our first BFP of the thread. Hopefully many more to come.

I'm off for a lining scan this morning and I'm so nervous! I think I have some PTSD about the clinic and what we had to go through during COVID times. So I get huge anxiety every time I have to go

SlinkMcSlink · 21/01/2025 06:35

@Mseddy Good luck!

It’s just crossed my mind and it crossed my mind last transfer about how distressing it is thinking about whether to buy tampons in your weekly shop as you approach otd. I mean it makes sense so that you’re not caught out but it feels like I’m doing something very negative. How irrational am I? Need to have a word with myself. πŸ˜‚

Rebekah77 · 21/01/2025 06:38

Good morning
struggling at the moment assuming it’s down to cyclogest

pain is so bad , queasy and so bloated can’t see my own feet πŸ˜… so glamorous! Maternity leggings for me

just need to get through work today !!

congrats @Feelingmindful

Cosyseason1234 · 21/01/2025 07:17

Congratulations @Feelingmindful so lovely to see this news πŸ₯°

@Eagerlywaiting1990 I am so excited for Friday! Just need this week to be done 🀣 it’s our anniversary in a couple of weeks so going to wait for test results to see if I can book somewhere with a hot tub or not! Not to be negative but sitting in a hot tub with a Prosecco will be a nice consolation price if not! Hope you are doing ok have you got anything nice planned?

@Elena3 not long for you either πŸ₯° how are you feeling on the estrogen I know you were worried about headaches?

@mseddy good luck for your scan today hope all is ready to go, completely get your anxiety.

@SlinkMcSlink i had a free voucher for some tampons last week but didn’t use it,felt like a bad omen 🀣

@hopefullyonedaysoon it’s no wonder you have distrust after what you have been through,I’ve got everything crossed that this is your time ❀️

@rebekah77 I’m with you on the cyclogest symptoms,I feel vile!

Is anyone else really dehydrated on the meds?! Feel like I’ve got a 247 hangover!

paintfairy · 21/01/2025 07:28

@Feelingmindful congratulations! That's brilliant news. The wait for the scan is far worse than the 2ww 🀣 so just keep yourself busy.
I hate to say that keep testing will not tell you anything after a point so that's not advised. Bar doing the clear blue with the weeks indicator on. Some people never get the right outcome on those though (even if things are OK) so you can still end up driving yourself mad.
The whole process is very anxiety inducing and I have to say it doesn't get better. You just have to battle through it.πŸ’ͺ You can do it.

Mseddy · 21/01/2025 07:55

@Cosyseason1234 yeah the oestrogen does that to me. All of a sudden I realise I'm parched and can down a liter of water! Resisting the urge to do that now because I need an empty bladder for my scan!

Sherr33 · 21/01/2025 08:07

Hi all

How many positives have we had so far on this group?

Who else is in the tww?

And who is transferring soon?

Thought we could all update each other on where we are at so everyone can stay in the loop. Because I for one keep forgetting.

Morning all - sorry for the silence, and hope everyone doing ok. Congratulations @Feelingmindful :)

We were also lucky to get a BFP, on 7dp, I've been in a bit of shock (and anxiety!) since, so have been laying low. Feeling pleased but cautious x

I'm the same
When did you transfer? I transferred Monday 13th. My blood test is on Thursday.
