Hi all ☺️

I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Please join this thread if you are on a similar timescale πŸ’«

@Cosyseason1234 I agree! I feel so dirty. Leakage too. Oh no embarrassment left!
@Hopefullyonedaysoon I’ve got my fingers crossed for you

Well…I’ve started suppositories this morning. Can safely say that they are my least fave of all the many medications so far in this 🀣🀣

I do find going in the back way not as messy! I started mine today with lubion too. How many are you on?

Cosyseason1234 · 19/01/2025 14:00

Literally no dignity left at all πŸ˜‚ my transfer is Friday can’t wait now! @Hopefullyonedaysoon good luck to you I’ve got everything crossed!

3 a day,I’m not sure how I’ll add it into my work day 🀣 how many are you on? I’m not on lubion, really hoping the pessaries are enough!

@Cosyseason1234 I'm on 3 a day too. So thinking 1 in the morning, 2 before bed. Never a nice thing to do however hopefully it's all worth it!

Cosyseason1234 · 19/01/2025 19:22

@cleggrickman oooo this is a good idea,I presumed they needed to be spaced out but it doesn’t actually say that anywhere?

OP posts:
Daniki · 19/01/2025 19:25

From what I recall they do need to be spaced out so you're having a continuous dose of progesterone. Sorry ladies! I used to have do one at work but there's no need to lie down after it, just make sure you push it up enough and wear panty liners πŸ™ˆ

Cosyseason1234 · 19/01/2025 19:28

Thanks for clarifying @Daniki i feel damp enough all the time from the estrogen let alone this as well 🀣 need to stock up on the panty liners. God,IVF is glam!!

Daniki · 19/01/2025 19:30

@Cosyseason1234 oh I know it's horrible πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ constantly wearing something here too!

paintfairy · 19/01/2025 19:59

@Cosyseason1234 @cleggrickman are you on 400 mg ones?

And yes they are meant to be spaced out. So as equally as you can - ideally it would be 8 hours between each but that might not be quite possible with bed time/ what time you get up. Roughly is fine though.

Feelingmindful · 19/01/2025 20:57

Hi guys,

Can I join please???? I have been silently following but my OTD is tomorrow so tonight I’m really anxious about testing in the morning.

I had my first transfer last year but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. This is my second FET but this time I had a IVIg infusion..

I have a daily Lubion injection but for the last 3/4 days I have developed a rash on my stomach where I inject. Has anyone had a similar reaction? The clinic are saying it’s normal and not to worry about it but it really itchy and quite sore.

Daniki · 19/01/2025 21:19

@Feelingmindful hey I had this aswell with the lubion after my first transfer. My docs said it was an allergic reaction and they just upped the amount of pessaries I was on! Best of luck for tomorrow 🀞🏻🀞🏻

Feelingmindful · 19/01/2025 21:30

@Daniki thank you. That’s interesting as the clinic do not seem bothered. I’ll bring it up with them again tomorrow if all goes well.

Daniki · 19/01/2025 21:32

@Feelingmindful defo mention it, mine was a bit raised too but it may not of been an allergic reaction but I had to keep injection the same area as I have stoma so couldn't inject the other side of my stomach. Noticed on my legs it would be raised afterwards if I tried there

Rebekah77 · 20/01/2025 05:26

Hey guys hope it’s ok to drop in
transferred last Wednesday, in so much pain at the moment but assuming its from the cyclogest . Clinic just said paracetamol!

I have such test fear so just gonna enjoy this week and not think about it lol

so bloated the leggings are struggling πŸ˜…

cleggrickman · 20/01/2025 05:52

@Cosyseason1234 snap with the damp feeling! The glamorous side of IVF. Best keep stocked up on panty liners.

@Daniki ah this does make sense. It's bizarre how each clinic advises differently. I did ask about spacing out and they said as long as 3's done a day just not 3 at a time. That's when they said the clinic where my embryos are recommends 1 in the morning 2 at night.

@paintfairy yes I'm on 400 mg ones. I'm hoping they balance me out soon and the oestrogen I was feel very low and sluggish on!

@Feelingmindful Good luck with your test today! Also well done for waiting until OTD. I wish i had that inner strength in me but I'm an early tester which I do anger myself a lot about!

@Rebekah77 I hope you have a peaceful week. Test fear is real. When you know an embryo has been put back and all it has to do is snuggle down it can really get to you.

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 20/01/2025 07:14

Morning ladies, hope it's OK to join. I'm prepping for my second transfer following an unsuccessful fresh transfer. I'm on a medicated FET and due in this morning to check my lining and hopefully get my transfer booked in for next weekend if all is well. Feeling very anxious this morning, just hope my body has responded well to the progynova.

Hope everyone is doing ok on the emotional rollercoaster that is ivf...very difficult not knowing what's ahead at any stage (especially for control freaks like myself) x

paintfairy · 20/01/2025 07:34

@Feelingmindful fingers crossed for today. 🀞🀞

Rebekah77 · 20/01/2025 08:37

Cosyseason1234 · 20/01/2025 10:24

@Rebekah77 welcome! Hope this week goes quickly for you.

@Eagerlywaiting1990 welcome! Sorry to hear about your failed fresh transfer. I am the same as you, complete control freak 🀣 my transfer is Friday I’m wishing the time away and already thinking when is the first day I can test πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

Hi all! Hope it’s ok to join!

I’m having a short protocol FET tomorrow! Having x3 400ml cyclogest pessaries a day (really not keen on these but used the Crinone gel for my first FET which I found more gross!)

Dreading the TWW 😩

Hope you’re all doing ok and have fingers crossed for us all 🀞🏻

Hi, hope you don’t mind me joining this thread, I’ve felt so lonely in this journey (my husband is my rock but sometimes you need to talk to other women going through it).
I had my transfer last Monday 13th and I’ve really relaxed and done everything right, I’m on progesterone injections and pessaries, estrogen and blood thinners so it’s a lot but I’m willing to do anything to have this baby. I’ve had a lot of symptoms, fatigue, nausea and very sore boobs but then woke up this morning and I feel like my boobs aren’t as sore anymore and I’m really freaking out it’s failed again. This is our 4th transfer, the first one ended in miscarriage and the second 2 failed so I feel like I’m reading into everything and stressing about every little thing which I know is not good!
has anyone had it where their boobs weren’t as sore but then it came back?
Thanks 😊

Elena3 · 20/01/2025 16:38

@Hopefullyonedaysoon how is your UTI by the way, did they treat it at the hospital? Since they checked my fallopian tubes late August I have been having maybe 5 outbreaks of UTI, and I have been never prone to those things, absolutely horrible. Took antibiotics maybe 3 or 4 times and some other pills/supplements/herbal infusions, I have been also dreading it might come back before the transfer too.

I had a scan at the clinic today, all fine and now my transfer day is 27th :)
Was told to carry on taking oeastradiol and start progesteron pessaries this Wednesday.

@Cosyseason1234 Good luck for Friday, fingers crossed!

Hi Kirsty. Well done for holding out and not testing first of all. It's very had not to symptom spot. When you know all that's going to happen is for the embryo to snuggle down it's enough to send anyone insane. I did a lot of symptom spotting last time and honestly convinced myself it had worked but was met with a BFN. I go for transfer on Friday and telling myself that I'm going to do things differently this time. Just relax as there's nothing I can do to change the outcome. When is your OTD?

Mseddy · 20/01/2025 17:53

@Kirstie16 I wouldn't read too much into the coming and going of symptoms. Most of them are likely a side effect of the progesterone. I had sore boobs when I was pregnant with DD and then suddenly a few days before OTD they went away and I was devastated after having a chemical on a previous round. Spent the whole day in bed crying because I thought I was loosing her (had early tested so I knew I was pregnant). Long story short she's sat next to me on the sofa. Symptoms come and go, don't let that make you think you are out
