Due to start Stims any day now…! Anyone else?

Hi all,

I know there is a November thread but most ladies seem further ahead. I’m waiting for AF to show (4 days if she behaves) and then start stims

This is my first cycle so would love to go through this with as many as possible.

36yr old, AMH 1.9, AFC 3 and severe MFI. We’re having IVF with ICSI, DP is providing a sample next week as well to be frozen as a precaution incase he doesn’t produce many on the day.

HI, I was thinking about making a December threat as there weren't any around yet.
First time ICSI here too.
I did join an earlier threat but ended up not having a period and it all got pushed back (I'm on hormones now to make sure that won't happen again). If the hormones work then I should get my period at some point next week, so should be very similar time frame to you.
Basically 30 years old (birthday next week too) not sure about my AMH, would have to look through paperwork, but it's very good. PCOS with very irregular periods, husband and I have been trying for 3 1/2 years. Low sperm quality.

How are you feeling about it all? Just laid out all my medication that arrived today and to say I feel overwhelmed is an understatement!

I don't think it's quite klicked in my head yet that it's happening. There have been so many delays I keep expecting some new trouble to crop up.
Although I have noticed that I'm getting more emotional about things to do with kids again but I can't tell if it's the hormones I've been prescribed or the situation in general.

Although I'm sure it'll feel real enough when I have to start injecting myself 😣

Starting stims tomorrow for me!

I'm 39 amh 11 afc 9. We had a naturallly conceived daughter 2.5 years ago then had an accidental pregnancy turned ruptured ectopic 18 months ago (we were about to start trying anyway!) and then nothing since. The ovary on the side with the remaining tube doesn't really function well so we think that's our issue.
So far so good on downregulation, and I start gonal-f tomorrow. Egg collection is pencilled in for the 4th dec.

I'm also starting stims tomorrow! I'm 37, AMH 16 and AFC lower at 8 - really hoping stims might somehow produce more if that's even possible.
I stopped norethisterone and now having the heaviest bleed, it's really awful 😖
We've had a really long journey to get to this point, with several delays and I'm always worrying about the next thing to go wrong. Also incredibly overwhelmed by all the boxes of medication and praying I can manage the injections ok!
As it stands I have my first scan next week and my egg collection is booked in for 5th December.

So glad there are others on the same timeline. I’ve never wanted my period to come so badly so I can just crack on with this now. Really worried I won’t produce enough eggs with such rubbish results. Time will tell

Hi everyone! I have had 6 stims so far and just wanted to say they really arent bad. I had awful anxiety and headaches on the norestirone but can honestly say I feel completely normal on stims,if anything more energy and happier 😂 my EC is next week. Good luck all! Xx

Can I ask - was your bleed after stopping norethisterone any harder than usual? Mine has been so painful and so heavy I'm really struggling with it. Hoping I'm over the worst of it now tho 🤞🏻

@Magix86 I had a horrible really heavy bleed that was full of clots! Starting stims really calmed it down,fingers crossed it is same for you. I was really nervous about starting them but in actual fact it felt good to be actually doing something productive and it’s felt good to be able to see the ovary progression on scans. I am very emotional but this whole process has been very emosh so who knows if that’s the hormones or just me 😂 good luck for tomorrow,you have got this!

Thanks @Cosyseason1234 yes, sounds similar to mine. Thanks for sharing. I'm quite excited to start with the injections now and I think I'm over the anxiety of getting them right! Have watched the video a few times now haha but will see how the first one goes tomorrow

I'm on day 4 of stims. Feeling tired, and I've gained 2 kgs out of the blue! I always gain 2 -3kgs just before ovulation so hoping it's just water weight and won't go up anymore!

Period started this morning, but has stopped again! I think I’m meant to wait until full flow?

Can't you call your clinic and ask? They should be able to advise when it counts as a real period.
I'm still waiting. Took the last pill on Friday and am supposed to get my period within 7 days, so still plenty of time for it to happen.

Day 3 of stims for me. Generally feeling OK now after an initial migraine on day 1. Just the ongoing stress of making sure I'm doing the injections correctly!

@ivfjourneyandme I think it might be an idea to call your clinic. With my downreg and stims (buserelin and gonal f) my period started late then went on for 10 days.

@Magix86 tell me about it! I'm fairly sure I'm injecting some air everyday too!

Hoping I can join in, today is day 4 of stims for me. Woke up this morning worried that they weren't working as I've had no side effects at all but then I could barely close my jeans this afternoon so think something is starting to happen!

@Idabelle I'm also day 4! I'm fairly similar in that I haven't had too many symptoms but I literally gained 1.5 kg in my first day and it's climbing. Trying to drink lots of water today to flush out any water retention as I'm close to the bmi limit for my clinic. Starting to feel a bit uncomfortable today. I really wouldn't mind if they brought the egg sooner to get this over and done with!

@Confusedddddddd 👋nice to talk to people at the same stage as it's so hard to know what's normal!

I def could have put on 1.5kg too, today feels like putting the jeans on after Christmas break.

When is your egg collection scheduled? Mine is either 4th, 5th or 6th November, they'll decide at my scan on the 2nd.

@Idabelle mine is scheduled for 4th. I have a scan Thursday and another on Monday so I guess we'll see then if it gets delayed. My clinic only do egg collections on Weds and Fridays. If it gets pushed to Friday then we're going to have a childcare issue for our DD so I really hope it doesn't. I'm hoping that because I reacted well to the downed dose I might also react well to the stims, but who knows.

Still no period 😠

I've got ...something... it's not really a period yet but maybe by tonight it will be. I'm excited
