Anyone starting stims in November?

I started stims last night. I'm on a long protocol. Started in October with norethisterone and then Buserelin. This is my second IVF cycle.

First cycle I didn't take the Buserelin, had 8 eggs collected, 3 blasts, none normal (1 high level mosaic in the freezer)

I'm on a 2 cycles package, so hoping this one is the lucky one 🙂

All 11 of ours that fertilised are still going on day 2. We have 8 top grade, 2 good grade and one slightly lower.
Will be in for transfer on Monday and we'll see how many we have at that point🤞🏻

Has anyone else had a lot of bloating after their egg collection? I feel a lot bigger than I did when I was on stims 🙈 still feel a bit uncomfortable moving around and not sure if anyone has tips on a quicker recovery?!

@Magix86 absolutely brilliant news! Have you got a chilled weekend planned?
I felt completely normal by day 3 after EC,day 2 was abit tender,I did find a light walk in the park helped.

I had a lot of bloating, essentially ohhs, could only walk very slow and couldn't even breath deeply. I was totally unprepared for this, day 3 post egg collection was the worst one. I was trying to drink a lot (coconut water has electrolytes, everyone says you need electrolytes), but I don't know if that actually helps. I quickly realised I get much worse if I eat a normal portion of food, so I changed it to really small portions but more often food intake, not to overcrowd any precious space that remained in my intestines being squished already...

Thanks @Cosyseason1234 @Elena3 this is day 3 so hopefully tomorrow will be better then! I think it might have been after lunch that was more noticeable...will try smaller meals. Trying to keep the fluids up. Just a chilled weekend for me, maybe a little walk but nothing too strenuous!

Congrats on good numbers @hopefullsosbry and @Magix86 ! I was the same as @Cosyseason1234 , had some stomach pain the two days following and was basically ok after, although on the bloating, I have gut issues which were def flared up by it and it took me a week to get back to normal.

We got a call .. out the 9 eggs we got only 4 were mature and 4 fertilised.. so we just have to wait now until Wednesday to get the 5 day update to see if any are suitable for biopsy for PGT-A testing 🤞🏽 will update in Wednesday , hopefully we get at lest 1 💫

I've just posted on the December thread but will add here too. Hope everyone is doing OK.
We had our day5 transfer today.
We had a 4AA put back and they have frozen a 3AB. They are giving the rest another day to see if they catch up but I feel really down that we had 11 going on day 2 and now are left with only 2! We were told on day two that 8 were top grade and 2 were good grade so I really don't know whats happened 😕

I felt exactly the same as you,we had 13 fertilise and only 3 embryos to freeze and I felt quite disheartened.
After some googling and speaking to people who have been through it before,I actually do feel happy with it now.
They say 30-50% don’t make it to blastocyst and we had severe MFI and I am 37 so old in IVF terms 😂

Thanks @Cosyseason1234 😊 I know I should be feeling so much better to have actually gotten to this point and need a reality check! I'm also 37...although actually I turned 38 today haha 🥹
We used donor sperm due to my partner's azoospermia so that's playing on my mind a little...that we chose the wrong donor etc. This whole ivf thing is a complete drain. If I'm honest I was hopeful this would be all we needed and I wouldn't have to go through another egg collection, especially as I'd be even older then. Was really hoping that with a 50% loss we'd still end up with 5. But I really am so grateful to have the 2. We will see what happens. The next 10 days are going to be torture!

If there’s one thing this awful emotional rollercoaster has taught me it’s feel what you feel and take some time to process everything! Your feelings are valid and infertility is, let’s be honest, pretty shit 😂
This transfer is a top quality embryo,it’s got a really good chance of working 🤞 don’t worry about further egg collections etc now, I constantly overthink the next step and panic myself and generally it turns out to be an unfounded ivf worry 🤣

@Magix86 best of luck and hope your wee embryo implants nice and snug .. that’s good you have another chance with the extra frozen and I am sure you will get some that make day 6, both my rounds I got day 6’rs.. the good thing is they are all still going strong and none arrested so they might just be slow. Fingers crossed you won’t need them and this little embryo sticks .. 🤞🏽💫💖

I was also disappointed with numbers so I feel you - out of 20 eggs we got no freezes but just keeping everything crossed for the one that has been transferred. @ivfjourneyandme thanks for asking. I'd say it's been mixed. I've not had any bleeding which I'm taking as a good sign but unfortunately since EC (sorry if TMI) my IBS has flared up and I've been having quite strong pain and discomfort to the point I'm sometimes unable to sit up, which I hope won't harm things. However the pain is higher up in my stomach so I'm trying to tell myself it's just the hormones giving me a bad flare up and hopefully won't damage our chances. How are things going with you?

@tpeas oh you poor thing. The things we do eh? I’m ok thank you - just trying to ride this rollercoaster that is IVF! Got another scan Wednesday (will be day 14 of stims) to see if EC will happen 🤞🏻

Was expecting a call from the clinic this morning but instead had quite a simple message sent through the portal, just saying no other embryos made it to day 6.
I feel so disappointed at our numbers but also just seeing this in a very short message from the clinic hasn't helped. I feel like they think perhaps they've done their job now so don't really care about ongoing/further contact. Maybe I'm just being oversensitive but it's made me quite sad to have the info shared in this way and I've then had to send a reply asking for more information. 😔
