Anyone starting stims in November?

I started stims last night. I'm on a long protocol. Started in October with norethisterone and then Buserelin. This is my second IVF cycle.

First cycle I didn't take the Buserelin, had 8 eggs collected, 3 blasts, none normal (1 high level mosaic in the freezer)

I'm on a 2 cycles package, so hoping this one is the lucky one 🙂

@Magix86 that’s a good number.. well done you! Amazing need and fingers crossed for tomorrows call, 🤞🏽 I trigger tonight, had a few more pop up today at scan, she assured me that waiting the extra day was for the best and should have too many over mature, I think I just panicked .. feel better today.

@Magix86 yay! So pleased you were ok and what fantastic numbers ❤️ we got 18 and 13 fertilised with very low sperm count so fingers crossed for lots for you! Make sure you rest today,you have done all you can for abit now!

@hopefullsosbry yay for triggering today and all being well! I was also up all night worrying that I would be charged thousands for FET,we could have had a 3am anxious chat 🤣 my clinic sent me a lovely message confirming that it is covered in what I have paid lol,another day another IVF worry that was unfounded 🤣

@hopefullsosbry thanks 😊 I hear you with the panicking! I've had so many anxieties along the way, it's normal to have all these questions. But I'm glad they reassured you of it being the right decision. Good luck for the trigger tonight!

I'm in bed, feeling OK so far! A little bit of tummy pain. I'm trying to remember the actual egg collection and I'm struggling lol. I thought I'd be knocked out with sedation but was awake the whole time. I asked if they'd started and was told they were already halfway through 😅 I think the nurse probably did a fab job distracting me with talking lol. I didn't feel much at all and really can't remember it. I can't even remember getting off the table or if I walked to the recovery room or was wheeled or anything haha. So strange.

@Magix86 very wise decision to stay in bed, I decided to go to Mc Donald's and then some grocery shopping on the way back home from egg collection. Had a cheeseburger, fries, and then also slice of cheesecake at home. Next days I was regretting all this food because it probably contributed to that ohhs.

There was no pain whatsoever (until some moderate cramps started hitting me at night) and I felt very rested (luckily sedation always knocks me off fully, I would probably be scared of that strange half awake feeling, isn't it very strange?

You had 16 eggs retrieved, right? That's very good, I think it is a perfect number, it is when it is more than 20 the risk of ohhs grows.

@Magix86 that’s crazy you remember bits and bobs, lucky my last two times I couldn’t remember anything .. I’ll be asking them to just knock me out this time again .. haha .. glad you can rest in bed and take it easy .. just sleep the day away and tomorrow will be here before you know it for your call ..eeekk 🤞🏽💫🧡

@Elena3 all the food sounds yummy, sorry you were feeling ill after though .. we have decided to get a takeaway on Sunday (EC Friday) that way I’ll have healthy food to recover for a couple days before treating ourself, been super healthy the last few months for the procedure but will be able to have yummy food over Xmas 🥰

@hopefullsosbry it was really yummy indeed, but a bit naughty from my side with that ohhs, I think eating small portions but often, less carbs + more proteins would be better. Takeaway sounds lovely! Good luck for Friday, fingers crossed for you :)

@tpeas how are you feeling ? Must be a couple days after your transfer now ? Any twinges at all ? Hope you are keeping well 🧡

@hopefullsosbry thanks so much for checking in - sorry I've not been on the forum much, work has been busy. But I'm doing ok thank you. A couple of minor twinges but nothing much so far. How are you doing? Good luck for your EC in a couple of days!

@Magix86 great news on your EC. I really hope you get good fertilisation news. I was a little disappointed by ours at first but we still got one good blast which is the most important thing really so hope you'll have some good ones!

We had our call this morning. 16 eggs collected, 13 were mature. Amazingly 11 have fertilised! They will call us again tomorrow to see how they are developing and all being well we will have a transfer on Monday 🤞🏻

Thanks @Magix86 . Those are such great numbers! Fingers crossed you'll get lots of good blasts from those! With your timeline you'll just be a week behind me 😊.

I'm trying to keep as busy as poss with work stuff, Christmas socials etc to keep my mind occupied. Fortunately my energy has been good so far. But I have to get through a work Christmas do sober next week 😅 any tips anyone?!

@tpeas thanks good you can keep yourself distracted with work and other things, the TWW can seem like two months long .. @Magix86 thats an amazing result ! Do you get a 3 day update or will they just let you know on 5 days ? Well done you , how are you feeling now after your EC ? Mine is tomorrow .. ahhhh !!!! 🤞🏽💫

@hopefullsosbry just an update tomorrow on day 2 and then nothing until Monday. They said they don't like to disturb them to keep checking and there isn't any evidence to say it helps or does anything beneficial. I have read that the biggest drop off is usually between day 3 and 5 so that worries me a little bit, but there's nothing I can do about it so just have to have faith that what will be will be and hope for good news on the Monday.
I'm feeling much better than yesterday but took a walk down the road for a hot chocolate and feeling a bit sore now lol. Will try to rest a bit more tonight.

@Magix86 i found regular paracetamol and a hot water bottle worked wonders! Hopefully the good fertilisation news has aided your recovery ☺️

@tpeas so pleased you are doing well! Metronidazole is an antibiotic you can’t touch any alcohol on,say it’s for a minor tooth infection 😉

Such lovely updates I’ve been catching up on, I’m over on the December thread but initially started on it 😂😂

Hey , just updating . Had egg collection, got 9 eggs .. was kinda hoping for more since my last can there was 15 follicles showing .. but I was really late in going in .. I was meant to be 9:45 am as took my booster at 9:45pm wed .. but I didn’t get in there till after 10:20 .. so by the time they out sedative in etc I wonder .. or hope that some didn’t already ovulate .. as I think you are meant to get it no more than 37 hours .. I wouldn’t have been far off 37 hours 🙈 I not sure what the hold up was with me going in, was sitting in my gown a ready for over an hour .. so that was nearly 45 mins past the due time for it to be ? Anyways it’s done now and I feel fine physically, I have ate and now on my couch chilling the rest of the day .. just waiting for the call tomorrow now 🤞🏽💫hope you are all well

I don’t know much about the trigger,but I don’t think every follicle is guaranteed to contain an egg?! My knowledge is minimal though.
You have done all you can now,you deserve some treats and a chill tonight!
