Anyone doing FET/IVF in November 2024?✨

I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

thabk you @ClaireBear101 and @Thatslifethatsit i really appreciate the advice and I quite agree. I think if you can (and I realise it’s not possible for everyone) then chilling for a few days is good. I plan on rewatching Downton and getting out for a few walks.

Good luck today @MrsBP15 I found my last transfer was smear test level uncomfortable, but it's pretty quick and I got to see my embryo on the screen and watch the scan as it was transferred, which was quite emotional.

I admittedly went back to work afterwards and continued as normal, they advised me to avoid various exercises and foods but otherwise to continue my normal daily routine. Then again, my transfer didn't stick 🤷 I've heard lots of pineapple and avocado are meant to help aid implantation though? Worth a try I guess.

Thanks @Painty04 I’m going in tomorrow. I’m due to get a phone call today to give me a time. Thank you that’s all good advice, I know that a lot of people go back to work etc and they certainly say it’s fine to carry on as normal. I’m just at home at the moment anyway so I figure I may as well continue to chill. I’ve been avoiding crowds/public transport etc so I avoid picking anything up. Probably being overly cautious but it’s not forever! Hope you’re ok? Any side effects from the meds?

@MrsBP15 was 100% convinced it was Thursday today 😂 Definitely enjoy being able to have the chill time!

Yeah I'm ok, no side effects atm. Started pessaries today so will see if any come with those like they did last time

@Painty04 oh I know that feeling! Definitely thought Monday was Tuesday this week!

I’m ok thank you. Still a few headaches here and there but nothing too bad. Definitely less weepy which is good. I think it might be because I’m starting to get excited for tomorrow but who knows! Just got to wait for this call today…

5 eggs so I'm delighted having worried about less follicles.

We have been very lucky and managed to retrieve 15 eggs, so we are going to hopefully do have ICSI and half IVF. We will get a call later on this afternoon once they have stripped the eggs for ICSI to tell us if they were mature or not and then will wait for the call tomorrow morning to see if any have fertilised.

Doing my second FET after a miscarriage at 5.5 weeks. Still waiting on my post-MC period to start my meds! It's usually bang on time but I think the IVF meds have messed up my cycle as it's late. Just keen to get started!

I've started the injections now and scans are booked for next week. Period arrived on the fourth day after stopping Norethisterone.

@lumili that’s great news, well done! Hope you’re feeling ok now and are able to chill out for a wee bit. Got everything crossed for you that you get a good amount of fertilised eggs 🥚 x

@BellaRosex hi lovely - yes ivf meds can make things go awry hopefully will start soon so you can get cracking - my clinic makes you miss one period to get cycle and body back on track

Hi @FondantEclair it's booked for Friday. I had another scan today and that one follicle is good size they said and endo thickness is also good. So I take ovitrelle tonight and booked in for EC on Friday @ 9:30 ! Fingers crossed. I have only one follicle so all hopes and prayers on that one.

@monica3287 yes scanned today looking fine 10mm lining which is normal for me and a few follicles of varying sizes so happy to go ahead. You scanned today?

For those with EC tomorrow and Friday, I wish you all the luck in the world!
We had a call from the embryologist and she said all is going well there. They stripped back 9 eggs for the ICSI treatment and 7 eggs were mature and 2 immature, so have not used those 2. Then we have 6 eggs left which are being used for the IVF. We will get a call tomorrow by 10 to tell us if any have fertilised, so fingers crossed.
