MrsBP15 · 19/10/2024 09:31

Hello MN

I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

Sending baby dust and good vibes to one and all!!✨✨✨

@ClaireBear101 I’m so very sorry to hear your news. It is heartbreaking when that happens and so so painful. I still have vivid memories from my last round. Thinking of you x

MrsBP15 · 26/11/2024 17:59

Hi everyone looks like very sadly I am out. After brown spotting on and off since Wednesday last week, I was completely clear yesterday but have had bright red blood this morning along with cramping. It lasted a few hours but clinic has said that’s it. I guess you’d call it a chemical. Absolutely heartbroken as you’d expect and have spent the whole day in bed crying on and off. This was our first go so I know the odds were against us but honestly I would have preferred it not to have worked then have a very clear positive result followed by this. I wish everyone lots of luck and just want to say I think you’re all super heroes for going through this with such strength and compassion for others. Fingers crossed you get your bfps without too much heartache ❤️🩷✨🌈💫❤️‍🩹

tpeas · 27/11/2024 12:41

Hi ladies hope you're all keeping well. Got 20 eggs collected. Now time to relax and shake off the grogginess. Hope all goes well with anyone else going through this at the mo

Confusedddddddd · 27/11/2024 19:52

@MrsBP15 I don't want to hive you false hope but like @Cosyseason1234 I had bright red blood throughout my first trimester- I think it stopped at 9 weeks. I'm surprised they said that's it when there's many reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy. Did they ask to see you all? I would have thought they'd offer you beta blood tests to confirm it's a chemical before you stop progesterone. I'm sure I've read they usually up your progesterone if you have bleeding in early pregnancy

Emerald1986 · 27/11/2024 20:31

Great news @tpeas . My cycle was cancelled today following the scan. 2 follicles on the left, 3 still not quite up to size on the right but blood tests showed elevated LH so likely to ovulate before they can do EC so they've cancelled the cycle because if we go for EC and have missed the eggs it counts as a cycle, cancelling it beforehand doesn't effect the number the nhs will fund

tpeas · 27/11/2024 20:45

Oh so sorry to hear @Emerald1986 that's disappointing but good it doesn't affect your funding. I'm also lucky to be funded.

So sorry for the difficult times you're going through @MrsBP15 x

Thatslifethatsit · 28/11/2024 11:10

@MrsBP15 im so sorry they think it’s a chemical
@lumili @ClaireBear101 and all the bfp ladies massive congrats and fingers crossed all goes well for you
bfn here but to be honest not a massive surprise first try after having our little one last year and we’ve all been ill since embryo transfer will be fet in December so may see a few familiar names next month

ClaireBear101 · 28/11/2024 13:35

@Thatslifethatsit My IVF journey is over for now. I had a chemical pregnancy and have bled since Sunday. Not been in a good place.
Sorry you're the same @MrsBP15 sending love. X

How is everyone? Helloooo! Sorry, I went offline for a few days after our failed transfer. And also been bit busy with work, which is a good distraction.

I think we knew deep down this one wasn't going to work for us. Our first one. Keeping my hopes up for the next (we're NHS, 3 cycles as in Sussex). Thanks to everyone who came back on the spotting stories (my period came fully before I stopped the pessaries.. which is a bit concerning) but anyways - onto the next.

We have a chat next week to discuss FET.... hopefully it will be in early January.

I hope everyone else has been doing ok - been catching up on posts. Will anyone else be looking at a FET in Jan?

Elena3 · 03/12/2024 14:40

Hi @monica3287 hope that the next round will definitely work for you! :)
We have 7 blastocysts waiting for us for frozen embryo transfer in January, it is going to be the first time for me. (We also have 3 NHS funded cycles, mine is with Guy's and St Thomas in London.)

monica3287 · 03/12/2024 15:25

Ah hey @Elena3 - did you have to move straight to a frozen transfer, rather than fresh? That is good, and we are very lucky with the 3 cycles. How are you feeling?

Elena3 · 03/12/2024 15:28

@monica3287 , yes, after egg retrieval (I had 23 and developed mild ohhs later) it was decided that it would be a frozen transfer :) I am feeling well, much better, thank you! I had some hard time with ohhs, but now all good. How are you getting on?

Cosyseason1234 · 03/12/2024 15:34

@monica3287 sorry to hear about your failed transfer. IVF is such a rollercoaster.

We have had a freeze all cycle last week due to OHSS risk, very lucky to have 3 in the freezer and looking forward to a Jan transfer. Shall we set up a new thread closer to the time? I’ve got a meeting with consultant next week to discuss dates etc.

monica3287 · 03/12/2024 15:36

@Elena3 sorry to hear that - but pleased to hear you are better! I'm ok - I'm a week clear of the period now, we had a consultation with our doctor, and enjoying getting back to some exercise.

and @Cosyseason1234 to you too - hope you are feeling ok after the stimulation. yes, that would be good. i have my nurses meeting next week, so will find out more then.

Cesas · 03/12/2024 20:16

@monica3287 sorry it never worked for you too! We also have a nurse appointment next week to discuss FET. My period also started before I stopped the progesterone so interested to see what they say about that.

Cosyseason1234 · 03/12/2024 20:57

@Cesas sorry to hear about your transfer.

@monica3287 i actually found stims fine thank you,was more the psychological side of it, I am grateful for a little break over Christmas now. Glad to hear you are enjoying getting back into exercise and hopefully lots of self care!

lets get a Jan FET thread set up after our appointments? infertility is a shit club to be in but it’s good to have buddies in the same boat 😂 @Elena3 too
