Anyone doing FET/IVF in November 2024?✨

Hello MN

I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

Sending baby dust and good vibes to one and all!!✨✨✨

Really hoping for a positive result for you, @ClaireBear101 and @Scorbunny2 , and thank you for the kind words! I find it strange such low fertilisation rate - maybe poor egg quality? It was IVF, rather than ICSI, as my partners' results were normal.
I guess I am deflated because of the expectations I had. And yes, good surprises happen. On the previous round I had 6 eggs collected, of which 4 fertilised on Day 1 but nothing was good enough on Day 5. Then miraculously, one embryo shoot up to a 4BB quality between Days 5 and 6, and now it's waiting patiently in a freezer abroad for me to take home.

Hi everyone I just wanted to say a massive thank for all of you who sent kind words of encouragement and positivity on the back of my message the other day. I still haven’t tested and my period hasn’t arrived (though it isn’t due until tomorrow/Thursday) I’ve had a few twinges here and there and been feeling a little nauseous in the mornings…or at least I think I have sometimes I wonder if I’m just imagining things and then if I think about them they feel more real, don’t know if that makes sense? My husband and I had sex yesterday and since then (sorry tmi) but my vagina has been a little sore? Also I have absolutely no idea how to feel my cervix whether it’s open or whatever but I think it’s pretty low which I believe is indicator of not being pregnant? I haven’t had any more spotting just that one time when I wiped and it was pink/brown. Again tmi, but I had a bit of a dig around just now and had a tiny bit of jelly like cm that may have had the slightest pink in it but I’m really clutching and straws now as in wouldn’t notice that in a million years if I wasn’t looking! I’m sleeping terribly, went to sleep at midnight last night and woke up at four so that’s fun but I’m sure that’s just because I’ve got a lot on my mind! Anyway all this is to say there isn’t much to report and I’m just hanging in there until I test or my period comes. I hope those of you who have had lines continue to get positive tests and those of you who are waiting are doing ok!xx

@lumili Firstly, congrats!! Really exciting news, I hope everything continues to go well for you and your partner 😁 I'm doing ok thanks, the second week of the wait is the hardest for sure, still holding off testing and desperately trying not to overthink anything I feel or spiral one way or the other😂

Also congrats @ClaireBear101 everything sounding really positive and exciting for you guys 😁

@FondantEclair I'll keep everything crossed for you! It only takes one! and quality over quantity is what matters.

@MrsBP15 I'm sorry to hear you're having a bit of a rough time, I really hope you're being kind to yourself right now. I think everything you're saying still sounds really positive, the odd spotting/ jelly like cm are all normal and I'll keep everything crossed for you!! Are you still planning on holding out to test at the weekend? Unfortunately I also have no idea how to tell if my cervix is open/closed, but I base it's position on how far I can push a pessary up there 🙄

ClaireBear101 · 19/11/2024 19:01

@MrsBP15 i think you're driving yourself a little mad with it all and would advise doing a test to put your mind at ease as you would get a result at this point.

@Painty04 Thank you. How are you getting on?

@FondantEclair deffo stay hopeful and don't give up just yet.

This IVF malarkey is a lot mentally and physically. Sending baby dust to all.

Painty04 · 19/11/2024 19:28

@ClaireBear101 I'm doing ok, just trying not to overthink. I get a lot of the "pregnancy" symptoms with my period a lot of the time, so I'm almost trying not to symptom spot or look too closely at anything that I might be feeling, which is almost impossible 😂 I do feel very different to how I did with my last (unsuccessful) transfer, but not reading into it as I think my body is just a lot more used to the progesterone this time around. Just trying to stay distracted as I want to hold off testing for a couple more days if I can 😅

Cosyseason1234 · 19/11/2024 20:25

@MrsBP15 glad you are ok,you have given so much support to people on this thread, got everything crossed for a positive result for you!

So lovely to see a few positive results, hope everyone is doing ok in these difficult IVF times xx

FondantEclair · 19/11/2024 20:39

@MrsBP15 Agree with @ClaireBear101 , you'll drive yourself crazy reading into symptoms, which are hardly reliable. As it is a medicated cycle, weird and wonderful things happen in the body, so even PMS symptoms might be different.

lumili · 20/11/2024 07:53

Hi ladies,

I hope everyone is doing ok.

i just wanted to share that today is our official test day and we actually do still have 2 lines, we are officially pregnant.

Anyone doing FET/IVF in November 2024?✨
monica3287 · 20/11/2024 08:10

Woohoo! Congratulations @lumili and partner! That's brilliant to see. I hope you've had some celebratory cups of tea. (I like the cheeky appearance from your cat there).

monica3287 · 20/11/2024 08:12

Ok here! I've woken up to some light pink bleeding, only when wiping but period not due till Friday, so am a bit concerned we're out for this first time already.

For others who have spotted / had implantation bleeding, was it light pink? I know this can vary :)

Have others told their clinic if they started period before their OTD?

R89 · 20/11/2024 08:31

Amazing news @lumili congratulations to you and your partner 🫶🏻🫶🏻 how exciting!!! Xx

I have actually been testing since Sunday and have had 2 lines since then and it’s got stronger every day and today’s one is very strong :) my OTD isn’t until Friday though so still a few more days to go. I have had lots of brown discharge/blood though but only when I wipe so not sure what that means. I have told my clinic and they said it’s normal but I’m not sure so just hanging on in there.

@monica3287 I also had some very light pink when I wiped on Friday but it’s now turned to brown. Ive been told it’s normal but who knows what normal is I think when we see blood we just panic don’t we so scary and everyone’s symptoms are so different. I got the light pink friday and then I was due on my period on Monday xx

@ClaireBear101 congrats on your two lines yesterday 🫶🏻🫶🏻 did you do another test this morning? Xx

Hope everyone is doing ok, sending lots of baby dust to you all xx

ClaireBear101 · 20/11/2024 08:40

Hey @R89 yup still 2 lines and getting darker. Tbf my otd is Sunday so still early and still feeling good about it!

@lumili congrats!!! That's fantastic news!!! So happy for you!!!

@monica3287 2 in 3 women have implantation bleed which is pink or brown and only when you wipe so don't be worried at all.

Wohoo so happy for you @ClaireBear101 Congrats on the two lines 🫶🏻🫶🏻

monica3287 · 20/11/2024 08:55

congratulations @r89 and @ClaireBear101 - and thanks for your encouraging words!

will keep you posted. i'm back into the office today (was WFH yesterday) so a good distraction x

Cesas · 20/11/2024 11:49

Congrats @lumili, @R89 and @ClaireBear101 fingers crossed the rest of your journey is smooth now! 🤞

We tested yesterday unfortunately it was a bfn. I'm now 9dp5dt so not holding out much hope now. Feel lucky to have 2 frozen embryos and will hopefully be able to have better luck with our 3rd transfer in the new year 🤞

Good luck to those who are still doing stims/in the 2ww hoping for some good news for you all! X

FlakyAquaQuoter · 20/11/2024 20:30

Hi everyone!

I hope you don't mind me joining in this late in the game.

I'm currently having a FET and on progynova 8mg. First scan tomorrow which is slightly early, at day 10, to fit in with work. But my previous cycle I was scanned day 8 and had a 10mm trilaminer lining so I'm hoping I'm all good to go tomorrow! I'll be on Cyclogest three times a day when they deem fit.

I had a MMC following my FET last year, and a freeze all IVF round earlier this year due to OHSS.

I saw someone commented on the nausea, headaches and ability to cry at everything and nothing... just to say I'm with you there. And goodness, the Christmas adverts are NOT helping!

I've a DD who's 3 from a previous FET. So desperately hoping I can bring her home a sibling this time.

Woohoo! Congratulations @lumili and partner! That's brilliant to see. I hope you've had some celebratory cups of tea. (I like the cheeky appearance from your cat there).

Cat wanted to be in the picture as a reminder not to touch her litter box during pregnancy😺

Emerald1986 · 20/11/2024 21:17

Congrats @lumili!

My next scan is Friday and they will confirm if EC is going to be Monday or Wednesday next week.

Cosyseason1234 · 20/11/2024 21:19

@Cesas sorry to hear about your BFN,infertility really is a pile of crap! Really positive news about your embryos in the freezer, got everything crossed for you.

@FlakyAquaQuoter welcome! I am in stim phase at the moment and if all goes well transfer at the start of December so won’t be far behind you! Do you know when your transfer is? I am also very emotional 😂 but finding stims a lot better than I imagined.

to all with a positive test,congratulations 🥰

FlakyAquaQuoter · 20/11/2024 21:25

@Cosyseason1234 - Oh how exciting! Glad you're doing okay.
I was fairly fine on stims, other than looking like I was already quite far into a pregnancy...! I always feel like FET is less involved and tell myself that it's far gentler. Then I'm sobbing at a Morrisons advert and getting crazy night sweats.

My DD had a bad dream the other night and crawled into my bed. Few hours later I woke in a night sweat and I felt like I'd just got out the shower.
She also woke, rolled over and asked if I'd had a wee in the bed. She stroked my hair and said "it's okay mummy, accidents happen!" And then started stripping the bedding off. All very cute. Except the first thing out her mouth at nursery the next day was "my mummy wet the bed last night so I'm a bit tired!".

If my scan is all okay tomorrow I'm hoping next Thursday will be my transfer date. But trying not to get ahead of myself!

lumili · 21/11/2024 07:48

Thank you all for the kind messages.

@monica3287 hope you are doing ok.

@R89 hoping that your lines are getting darker, another day to go until your OTD so my fingers are crossed for you!

@ClaireBear101 good luck for your official test day on Sunday!

@Cesas so sorry to read your news. I know it’s hard, but hold on to the fact that you have some in the freezer for you.

@FlakyAquaQuoter welcome, hope all goes well with the scan today and @Emerald1986 good luck with the your scan tomorrow.

xxx

R89 · 21/11/2024 08:31

Hi @Cesas I am so sorry to hear your news, Its so unfair. Really positive that you have some embryos in the freezer though although I understand it doesn’t make this part any easier xxx

Thanks @lumili still positive and my lines are getting darker yay! I switched to the clear blue tests last night and then again this morning and it’s a strong line so that’s made me really happy. Now to wait for official test day tomorrow. How are you doing, I bet so excited. What are the next steps for you now is it bloods and scan? Xx

Scorbunny2 · 21/11/2024 08:52

Snowed in so can't get to transfer today absolutely gutted. Roads are lethal

monica3287 · 21/11/2024 09:31

ohhh no @Scorbunny2 so sorry to hear that! what have they said about next few days?

monica3287 · 21/11/2024 09:37

and alright here! yesterday was just a touch of light pink, and then brown cm when wiping through the day two or three times. is 7dpt usually too late for implantation?

my clinic messaged on the app we're using, and said to continue with pessaries until test day tomorrow. nice to get a message from them too. feeling alright, what will be, will be!

yes good luck those with the scans today, and those with lines + OTD's this week, good luck too!
