Anyone doing FET/IVF in November 2024?✨

MrsBP15 · 19/10/2024 09:31

Hello MN

I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

Sending baby dust and good vibes to one and all!!✨✨✨

@MrsBP15 I was just told to space them out, there's never been any emphasis on them being at exactly the same time every day. I do one first thing, one mid afternoon when I finish work and one when I go to bed

I'm also on cyclogest @ClaireBear101 but I mix mine up and do a 50/50 front and back combo 😂 20 min lie down and wait when doing vaginally, and no wait (or mess) but no bowel movement for an hour when done rectally 🙄 😂

@Scorbunny2 congrats on 11 eggs! That's a fab number, fingers crossed everything progresses nicely for you 🤞

monica3287 · 16/11/2024 19:47

woohoo @Scorbunny2 - how you feeling? hope for some more good news tomorrow!

ClaireBear101 · 16/11/2024 21:48

@Painty04 ah that's fair. I'm only 2 a day and was only told to do vaginally and I'm ok with that haha.
What day are you in now hun?

MrsBP15 · 16/11/2024 22:09

Thanks @ClaireBear101 and @Painty04 probably tmi but I did my first recital pessary tonight and it was all good 😊 I only have to do them twice a day so that’s something. I’m also cyclogest. How are you both doing? Have either of you tested yet? Great you don’t have period symptoms @ClaireBear101

Great news @Scorbunny2 and well done for getting through it. Hope you get a positive update tomorrow!

@ClaireBear101 haha fair enough, I was told to do a mix of both, and got kind of used to it from my last transfer. Still not a pleasant experience, but we do what we must 😂 I'm same day as you I think, if transfer day is 0 then I'm day 5.

@MrsBP15 definitely not tested yet and not planning to until either my test date or just before. I'm doing ok, no symptoms really, the odd twinge and completely exhausted (still blaming that one on my recent cold) Completely different to last time, which makes me think a lot of what I felt before was the progesterone and my body is just a lot more used to it this time around 🤷

How are you feeling in general? And how are you feeling about returning to work?

ClaireBear101 · 16/11/2024 22:46

@Painty04 I am 7 days after transfer but had a 3 day transfer so yes it's more like day 5.
Its definitely very different ireland to UK though. Different meds and what not. Bar the lovely cyclogest or as I like to call it my candle bullet.

@MrsBP15 i have not tested. Day 5 would be ridiculously early and very rare to even get a positive so pointless and will only mess with my head haha.

I'll wait a bit but I might even wait it out. Try my best anyway. I believe from day 9 or 10 is best.

MrsBP15 · 17/11/2024 09:55

Had a pretty rough night with headaches, insomnia, night sweats, mild cramping and then a break down at 2am when my husband got home from a late shift and I was crying because I’m assuming it’s all over. Then this morning I went to the loo and when I wiped there was some pink spotting. Im ten days post transfer and My period is due on Thursday. Long and the short of it is it looks like I’m out 😔 obviously gutted but trying to remember it was our first time so it was statistically unlikely. And this way I can maybe enjoy a couple of drinks at Christmas 🍸 wishing everyone all the very best with their next steps, whatever they may be. Take good care, you got this!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

@MrsBP15 I wouldn't say you're out yet! Have you tested yet?

With my first (though naturally conceived) I spotted and cramped throughout the first trimester- she was a perfectly healthy baby.

monica3287 · 17/11/2024 10:18

I would agree @MrsBP15 - don’t lose that hope! These could all be good signs for you. Are they usual period symptoms?

I know insomnia and nightsweats can be early pregnancy symptoms. The spotting… implantation?

Scorbunny2 · 17/11/2024 10:24

@MrsBP15 on my son twas a fresh transfer and I had bleeding and he is a perfectly healthy little boy.

Cosyseason1234 · 17/11/2024 10:27

@MrsBP15 I completely echo confussedddd don’t lose hope yet,I had spotting throughout first trimester with my first! Sending you lots of love!

@tpeas how are you? I’m very bloated today, don’t want to speak too soon but stims were nowhere as bad as I imagined 😂

Scorbunny2 · 17/11/2024 10:27

Got the call this morning. Collected 11 mature eggs and 7 have fertilised through ICSI.

monica3287 · 17/11/2024 10:36

great news @Scorbunny2 - you can relax today! some good Sunday news.

Scorbunny2 · 17/11/2024 10:38

@monica3287 yes a little relaxed. No call tomorrow so again Tuesday.

ClaireBear101 · 17/11/2024 10:40

@MrsBP15 I echo everyone.
It's possibly implantation bleeding. Is it just there when you wipe or heavy. Pink and brown light spotting is perfectly normal!
Do not give up just yet!

@Scorbunny2 that's great news!

tpeas · 17/11/2024 11:24

@Cosyseason1234 no bloating for me yet, just swelling at my prostap (downreg) injection sites still. For me it's thirst and headaches. I had a bit of a cold this week and I don't know if that's got worse or if it's the meds (or a mixture!) but I have a dry cough! It's def starting to feel more real now. Hope the bloating doesn't get too bad for you.

Keeping things crossed for you @MrsBP15 !

ClaireBear101 · 17/11/2024 13:22

Today is day 8 since my day 3 transfer. I'm so nauseous this morning and headache.
Having 3 failures previously I never felt like this before.
Amyone been like this with positive outcomes previously?

R89 · 17/11/2024 13:44

Hey @ClaireBear101 I’m 6dp5dt and have had quite a few diff symptoms and no idea what they mean as it’s first time. Light cramping, headaches, tiredness and some brown spotting but I’m just riding the wave and seeing what happens. My period is due tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing ok xxxx

ClaireBear101 · 17/11/2024 15:43

@R89 everyone's different. Some ppl get no symptoms at all. So we just gotta wait and see :)

R89 · 17/11/2024 15:48

Exactly fingers crossed for us all. I wont lie tho I will probably end up testing soon just because I’ve been spotting. I ordered the First response early result tests today 🙈🙊 xxx

R89 · 17/11/2024 15:52

@MrsBP15 i just saw your message! Don’t give up yet. Spotting could be a really good sign esp if it’s light pink/brown, don’t lose hope. Have you not considered testing perhaps just to settle your mind. If your 10 days post transfer it should pick it up now? Xx

ClaireBear101 · 17/11/2024 17:35

@R89 My clinic told me to test when I had bleeding so not a bad idea. I'm gonna test Wednesday as it's my day 11 and I'll test daily then haha.

lumili · 18/11/2024 08:41

Morning All,

Just catching up on all the messages.

@MrsBP15 hope you are doing ok and am so hoping that you are not out.
@R89 how soon are those early pregnancy tests supposed to pick it up?
@ClaireBear101 and @Painty04 how are you both doing?
@Scorbunny2 great news on the egg collection, fingers crossed for your call tomorrow.

As for me and my partner, we have our test day on Wednesday, however we are so tempted to test tomorrow!!

Sending lots of love to all xxx

R89 · 18/11/2024 08:47

Hey @lumili that’s so exciting your test day is Wednesday. How many days post transfer are you now?

The early response early result tests are meant to pick it up 6 days before your period is due. I’ve done some research and seems they are the best and most accurate for those who have done IVF and want to test early. Also the premom pregnancy tests too as they detect HCG at a low level. I’ll try and link them xxxx

Thank you for the link @R89, have just ordered some of them. It’s my partner who had the transfer (we are in a same sex relationship) and we had the transfer last Monday. So guess that makes us 7dpt does it??? We had a grade 5aa blastocyst popped back in, so it has started to hatch but now I’m worried as have been reading and some say to put one back in which has started hatching may not be the best thing to do!! We shall see!
