Anyone doing FET/IVF in November 2024?✨

MrsBP15 · 19/10/2024 09:31

Hello MN

I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

Sending baby dust and good vibes to one and all!!✨✨✨

I had the last scan on Thursday, trigger will be on Saturday evening, and collection on Monday morning, as initially scheduled. Yes, follicles have grown since last scan and I was given another day of stims on trigger day, making it to 11 in total. They grow 1.5-1.7mm a day so I am assuming anything under 10mm four days before egg collection won't be good contenders.
Fingers crossed, anyone else having EC this coming week?

Autumn245 · 15/11/2024 10:37

Sorry not been keeping up to date on the thread. just to update... had lining scan today and all set to trigger! Tranfer booked in for next Friday. Becoming very real now, scared but excited

MrsBP15 · 15/11/2024 13:44

@FondantEclair thats great news! Fingers crossed for plenty of good follicles for you for Monday! @Autumn245 that’s fab for you when are you having your EC or do you already have embryos in the freezer?

I can’t remember who had ECs today but I hope whoever has that they went well ❤️

How's everyone feeling?
I'm 6 days after 3 day transfer.
Yesterday I was very bad but was more bowel movement we shall say.
Today weak cramping and lower back pain.
Though different symptoms to first try I'm not sure how to feel. I keep expecting my period but fingers crossed I won't get it.

MrsBP15 · 15/11/2024 14:51

I’m good thanks @ClaireBear101 just enjoying my last few days of freedom before heading back to work. I have absolutely no symptoms to speak of but that’s not unusual for my period. I normally get some headaches and extreme fatigue in the lead up to it but that’s about it. It’s due a week today so we’ll see…I’m sorry you’re experiencing bowel movement stuff, I certainly had that yesterday. I put it down to the meds! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 might you test early do you think? I’m holding out! Also, I realise this is a stupid question but what do you mean by 6 days after a three day transfer?! Sorry with this being my first go I’m not always clued in with the lingo!

@MrsBP15 I have 3 frozen embryos, and was going natural modified FET cycle so it was only a scan to check lining and size of follicles and then trigger injection, followed by pessaries and then transfer in a week. A lot less stressful this time but still nervous about what the outcome will be. Fingers crossed for you, when is test day? I caved and tested very early with my fresh cycle 2 years back 🙈 and I'll probably do the same this time too

@MrsBP15 i had a 3 days transfer not a 5 day. So it's 6 days since my transfer.
I probably will test early.
I know you can hold out but we've been trying for a family for quite some time between IVF and IUI so it's hard to wait so long. I'll probably test next week and see how it goes. It's been a heart breaking few years so we just want to know.

MrsBP15 · 15/11/2024 15:07

@Autumn245 ah ok, that makes sense. I’m pleased to hear it’s been less stressful for you this time but totally understand about still being nervous! My official test day is a week today (22nd) so 15 days after transfer but we’re both working that day so figured we’d wait until early morning Saturday (watch me not sleep next Friday night). This my first round so still feeling quite hopeful about it all, kind of going with an ignorance is bliss thing and then will cross the bridge of a negative result if we and when we need to. Maybe not the healthiest but therapist had said it’s fine so there’s that 🤣

@ClaireBear101 of course you must do whatever is best for you. I’m sure I will feel differently the next time we do this or possibly even next week…who knows! I really do have everything crossed for you and your partner that this finally your time. Sounds like you’ve been through so much, I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you both ❤️

Hope those who are having egg collection over the next few days it goes well! 🤞

My OH is away for 4 weeks with work before our test date so we are also going to test early. We waited til 10dp5dt last time but it will be earlier this time.

@FondantEclair we had a follicle which measure 10.4cm 48 hrs before egg collection and we managed to get a mature egg out of it so you never know! X

Scorbunny2 · 15/11/2024 18:13

Egg collection in the morning at 09.30. So weird no injections tonight but at least we will know our fate before we head into 2025. This is our last round.

ClaireBear101 · 15/11/2024 19:02

@Scorbunny2 I'm so glad you finally got there. Let us know how the updates go.

Autumn245 · 15/11/2024 21:42

All the best for egg collection tomorrow @Scorbunny2

MrsBP15 · 15/11/2024 22:05

sending you so many good vibes for tomorrow @Scorbunny2 hope you manage to get plenty of rest tonight. Fingers, toes and limbs crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Dropped off this thread for a while but have just been reading back as lots of you are further ahead - I just started first stims today. Sending you all lots of good luck with upcoming collections and tests!

Confusedddddddd · 16/11/2024 08:30

Has anyone else had Buserelin for downregulation and found that period was delayed? It's 5 dasa late now, Not pregnant of course but worried it's going to delay everything else now.

Scorbunny2 · 16/11/2024 09:01

@Confusedddddddd I was onbit but my period was only a day late.

Confusedddddddd · 16/11/2024 10:08

@Scorbunny2 thanks, I'll call the clinic if it hasn't started by Monday. I've been cramping for almost a week now and it's all in my back and uncomfortable, so I really want it to just start 😭. I'm such a whimp, I'm already feel rubbish on downregulation, dreading to think what stims are going to be like!

MrsBP15 · 16/11/2024 12:51

@Confusedddddddd bless you, it’s a nightmare waiting for your period clot come. I hope it

Question for the group….anyone taking pessaries or taken them in the past, how much does it matter how far apart they are? I’m going back to work next week and can’t guarantee that I’ll always be able to put the evening one in at the same time. I’ve been sticking with doing them vaginally which I’ve found to be ok (it’s been about 2 weeks).

@MrsBP15 i was always told one in first thing in the morning and one last thing at night.
I'm on cyclogest.
I lie down 30 to 45 mins after doing it in the morning.
Mine are vaginal.. a treat...not.
Figured out all my side affects were actually from them! Lol

MrsBP15 · 16/11/2024 14:07

Thank you @ClaireBear101 presumably that means you don’t take them at exactly the same time each day? I’ve been doing them at 9am and 9pm (and staying on my back for 30 mins after) but when I wake up and when I go to bed would be far easier from next week! I had headaches from Progynova but I reckon the “bowel movements” that I’ve had over the last few days are from the cyclogest 💩 have you had any other symptoms? Hope you’re doing ok

Hey all. Home again. Feeling woozy. They retrieved 11 eggs. Call tomorrow now

ClaireBear101 · 16/11/2024 18:05

@MrsBP15 Actually I've had no symptoms today which is a positive as I would assume to have period pains as due soon.
I have heavy feeling here and there but no cramps per say.
Yes I checked the side effects of the cyclogest in the box and you are correct it is most likely the cause of our bowel movements hahaha. Or diarrhea. 😂

@Scorbunny2 11 eggs is great news! Well done. Fingers crossed for continued good news!!!
