I started a thread for ivf in September but ended up having a freeze all cycle and lots of people on said thread have moved on to BFPs etc. Due to have FET at the start of November so hoping to chat to others in a similar situ ☺️

Bit about me: first ever round, been trying for 2 years, have blocked tubes and have 14 embryos in the freezer thanks to successful egg collection in September.

Some disappointing news today - applied for access fertility payment scheme with multiple cycles and refunds but been declined due to the fact they deem it unlikely we will be successful. Such a kick to the gut.

Heres hoping we prove them all wrong when we start our cycle when AF shows!

A quick google search has said that they reject a lot of people! One of my good friends had first time ivf success against a lot of shit odds. The best advice she gave me is to stop reading stuff online and have my own experience 😂👏🏻 x @ivfjourneyandme

how did you get on with your first injections @Emerald1986 ? i found getting into that vial tricky! but i only had 2 rounds.

Quick question is day of transfer classes as day 0 or day 1

Lol more complicated than I anticipated. Although I'd watched the videos a couple of times by the time we had reread the instructions and actually mixed up the menopur (4 vials) and then did the rekovelle pen the 8pm injection time was more like 8.45. Tonight will be quicker as we know what we are doing now 🤣.

@ThatAlertSquid good question but I'm afraid I don't know the answer. I was wondering the same and similar for the egg collection - is day 1 the day they collect the egg and fertalise? So is a day 5 transfer actually 6 days after egg collection?

@Emerald1986 so with egg collection I believe day 1 is the day after. So I had an egg collection on Wednesday. Day 1 was Thursday and day 5 Monday. If that makes sense x

@monica3287 i’m 22nd but i think we’re going for 23rd so we don’t have to faff around with work.

@ThatAlertSquid I’ve just worked backwards from my test date. So they’ve asked me to test on day 15 and I had the transfer last Thursday so by that logic I’m on day 7 now if that makes sense? It probably doesn’t!🤪

Also I did frozen rather than fresh not sure if that make a difference? I think it might do for testing dates?

lol @ThatAlertSquid as if we don’t have enough to think about! I can barely count at the best of times 🤣 I guess I’m just aiming for my test date because I’m probably not going to test early and then if it’s positive the clinic will tell me how many day post transfer I am…

Quick question for the group…I have a massage booked for Saturday by which time I’ll be 9dpt. Do we think this is ok? Dr Google seems to think it’s fine and obviously a good way to relax during the tww. I mean the clinic literally said live your life like normal, the only thing they said to avoid was swimming, baths and sex in the first three days. I guess it comes back to that age old thing of people get pregnant all the time without realising and doing all sorts of stuff so I feel like it’s fine?

Embryo Transfer day in day 0.
My transfer was Saturday so today I'm 5dpt3dt
@MrsBP15 you would be day 6 as I believe transfer was Friday but if Thursday then yes day 7. Cant keep up with everyone's days lol

As for massage, all good if light massage, deep tissue may impact implantation from what I understand but I would check with your clinic as they know best.

Thanks @ClaireBear101 my transfer was Thursday last week so I guess I was right with it being day 7.

TMI but I just had my first bout of diarrhoea so that was fun! I don’t feel nauseous or anything though thankfully!

Hmmmm maybe I’ll just postpone the massage for after I test just to be safe…

@monica3287 had my last scan yesterday morning so was meant to be going in tomorrow for egg collection but there is a few that might catch up with extra day

Have just caught up on the chat, hope everyone is doing ok.

I am struggling with the wait for the date we can do our pregnancy test, after having the egg transfer on Monday. Our test date is Weds 20th Nov, which now after reading others comments I do feel that this is earlier than it should be but it is what the clinic told us!! Only 6 more sleeps to go!!!

@lumili I'm not gonna lie i was so gonna test today. 6 days after transfer but I woke up and went no far too early and will wait till monday or Tuesday so day 9 or 10. Too tough to wait till Sunday week. Haha.
