Anyone doing IVF round in September?✨

Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

I’ve been given a scan date of Tuesday 18th to check that my lining is thick enough and then a transfer date of Monday 23rd!!!! Eeeekkkk!!!

I was out on a freeze all cycle and I was so annoyed at the time but it helped my body have time to rest. Xx

@MrsBP15 Great news that you're EC has been brought forward to Friday and everything is growing nicely 😁 I also only had 2 scans before EC and although I was pretty nervous, right up to the point of being introduced to all the staff who would be present for the procedure, everyone at the clinic was really calm and reassuring. One minute I had a nurse talking to me and distracting me whilst the cannula was going in, the next minute I was waking up in recovery (never been sedated before - very strange feeling)

I think I was pretty lucky. I was sore but felt a lot better by that evening, no additional pain killers needed and by the next day I felt completely back to normal. I really hope both you and the other ladies having EC on Friday have similar positive experiences 🤞😊

Eek I have to share to this somewhere as have not yet shared it with OH… I am 8dp5dt and have just tested at home with a clear Blue test and I am shocked to say that there is a line! My official test date is 16th but I suddenly felt the need to test today and I can’t quite believe it!

I am 38 and in January had AMH of 3.1. This is my first try at IVF so I am praying this result is accurate and that nothing goes wrong 🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Daniki @MrsBP15 they only mentioned ohss before starting as I have pcos but not again since. I've got another scan today so will see what they say this time. My ovaries feel huge and sort of feel like I need a cushion to sit on.

Stressing about egg collection, probably just over thinking it and the worries of ohss and feeling rotten for weeks.

@Painty04 do you have pcos at all?

Congratulations @justineblack, that’s amazing.

I had my progress scan today, I only have 5 follicles but I was not expecting amazing numbers with my low AMH. I have received the green light to do the trigger tonight, and EC has been confirmed for Friday.

I am a little bit concerned that 2 of my follicles are already measuring 26mm, which I have read might be too mature already. I am worried that I will be triggering too late and loosing these follicules, but we shall see.

@Cloverhoof1234if you're feeling like that already, you can imagine you would be sore after EC. Try not stress yourself out over it and see what they say anyway 🤞🏻

@Cloverhoof1234 No I don't have pcos, but I do feel this whole process is stages of worry, every time I pass one hurdle, there's just something new to worry about 🤦🏻 I hope your scan went well today! 🤞

Don't worry! It's quality over quantity, I have a very low AMH and only had 3 follicles for EC 🙏 but 2 out of those 3 fertilised so I can't complain!

@Painty04 I am feeling good thank you, at least I am over the cold I had for the last few days. I feel almost numb at this point, but I am trying to remind myself that this is probably the highest chance we have at conceiving since we started trying. I want to be positive but at the same time I want to be realistic to protect myself as this process has been full of hurdles.
How are you doing? Have you already had your transfer?

@Lil89 thank you for your reassuring words! I am trying to focus on quality over quantity, hopefully my eggs are of decent quality!

It is just a lot of pressure as this is our only NHS funded cycle so it would have been nice to have a few embryos to store for the future!

I commented quite early on on this thread so have just been lurking every now and then but can't finally say AF arrived in full force this morning. Due a scan tomorrow and then should be able to start my menopur tomorrow evening. I am taking 300 units and only have vials of 75 so gonna be a ball ache to draw up!
never had menopur before, only gonal f.

Glad to hear you've shifted your cold on time for EC! I really relate to that feeling, as I'm sure many others on here do. It's really hard trying to balance cautious optimism and positivity whilst also trying to protect yourself and not get your hopes up.

I actually had my ET today and they said it went well so 🤞 Now I've got the TWW trying not to overthink everything I'm eating, doing and feeling 🤦🏻

@YellowTack hope trigger goes ok tonight, you are another step further. Keep us updated on the EC on Friday too. Enjoy the drugs!!! They certainly help with the anxiety, never felt so relaxed in my life!!

@CherryBerryBoo Hope the menopur isn’t too much of a pain. Have you ever found that the liquid appears to shrink after you’ve drawn up the final bit, but then there is nothing left in the vials when you go to check? Happened to me a few times and I was baffled

Hello everyone! Like @YellowTack ive got my trigger shot tonight which i need to take…wait for it…at 1am!!! We’ve decided im going to try and get a couple of hours sleep and my husband is going to stay up and then wake me when it’s time. EC on Friday, had last scan today and there are about 14 follicles on one ovary and they are mostly healthy sized. Today is the first day I’ve been quite sore and tender so it definitely feels like stuff is happening. So crazy that it just pops suddenly!

Totally agree with you about the hurdles but I’m just trying to stay as positive as I can and just enjoy the fact that we are at least doing something! Hope everyone is doing well, think of me at 1am (or don’t I hope you’re all asleep) x

Thank you for this @Painty04 i’m starting to feel a little less nervous about EC. Kind of looking forward to the next stage and having a really good excuse to properly rest following the madness of injecting every day and still working! I’m certainly looking forward to the sleep and we’ve already said we’re going to allow ourselves a treat as well x

My trigger shot was 11.30pm and I had the same plan to sleep in the afternoon, however I was too excited and stayed up until trigger shot 😂 husband was fast asleep!

@justineblack looking forward to feeling relaxed with the sedation, I was so stressed yesterday for the trigger, my hands were shaking so much!

@MrsBP15 1am! That’s crazy, I hope you still managed to get some sleep! I was so stressed for the tigger that when I had to press on the seringue to get rid of the air bubbles I sprayed some of the liquid out of the seringue, I hope I have not lost to much product. When I was at the clinic yesterday morning they made me try to prepare the seringue and it also happened, and the nurse said to try to avoid doing this with the actual trigger 😬. I feel a bit sore from the trigger injection which never happened with the other injections. I am glad to have no more injections to do!

@Lil89 and @YellowTack thank you! I dozed from 10pm-1am and then husband woke me up and gave me the shot. I then didn’t get back to sleep until about 4:30 with my alarm going off at 6:30…fun times! At least we don’t have any injections today! Well done for getting through it!

how are you both feeling about tomorrow? I am genuinely excited at the prospect of a rest and a proper nights sleep 😴 bring it on!!

@Painty04 I'm 8DP5DT and I've tested every day (I know compulsive! 😂) negative so far but I've had quite a lot of pain this afternoon (like period pains, cramps etc) so hoping something is trying to stick 🙏😳

Good luck to all who are having their egg collection tomorrow! I think we’re all wanting time to hurry up whether it’s waiting for egg collection, transfers, 2 week wait or early scans. The waiting and stressing doesn’t seem to end!
