Anyone doing IVF round in September?✨

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

I'm a bit stressed. I was given tablets to delay my period so it fit better with us going to Prague. I took the last ones on Sunday and my period was supposed to start yesterday with my protocol starting tonight. However my period hasn't come. I'm feeling so stressed about it but I know what won't help! I'm now worried it won't come and it'll mess up all our timings. The downside of going abroad for treatment!

I also can't wait to get going!

I had my EC this morning, honestly the worst part was the canula! I was very stressed beforehand but it went fine. I did a 2 hour nap this afternoon and now I feel okay.

They managed to get 5 eggs from my 5 follicles, I should hear tomorrow how many have fertilised, I can’t wait!

I’m in the TWW and I’ve stupidly tested early and it’s negative and now I feel rubbish. Don’t do it people!

@GreyJoker how did u get on did u have your transfer?

Il try but I know myself will have no will power after about 5 days 😂😂😂

@Daniki yes I had it Tuesday so just waiting it all out. Went well 😄 I thought I would be a bag of nerves during TWW but 3 days in and going surprisingly well 😂 How did yours go? 😄 hardest parts are over now 🙌

Try not to stress you may be too early testing what DPT are you? Seen so many posts where people didn’t get BFP until much later in TWW. 🤞

@GreyJoker oh great, so jealous you're a few days past transfer 😂 are u crampy or anything ? Thank god it's over, roll on 2 weeks!! 😂

@Lil89 Haha testing everyday may be compulsive, but if it helps get you through the wait, that's what matters. I'll keep everything crossed that those cramps are a positive sign for you 🤞😁

@teampacey any sign of your period yet? Hope it doesn't delay your treatment too much 🤞 What have the clinic advised?

@Daniki Very exciting 😁 I'm due to test on the 23rd, going to try and hold out for as long as possible. Trying to make myself "forget" what day I'm on and keep distracted atm.... Not convinced it's working 😂

Hi everyone

so I’m home post egg collection. They collected 38 eggs which is obviously good but means they are going to do freeze all and I am at risk of ohss so they have given me meds for that. The other curve ball is that my husband’s sperm parameters were not as good as we were led to believe and so they are doing ICSI instead of IVF. It’s strange because the specialist said it was all fine and we went to see another specialist about a suspected varicocele and he didn’t mention any issues. We’re just hoping that because of the number of eggs the chances of it working will be ok?

I feel completely fine physically right now, maybe a little tired but generally fine. I don’t remember a thing from the collection and had a tiny bit of pain afterwards but it passed super quickly. I’m sure I’ll feel something tomorrow but just hoping I’ll be ok in terms of OHSS.

@MrsBP15 38 eggs, congratulations! I hope that your body will recover and that you won’t develop OHSS. How are you feeling about having to do a freeze all?
I felt like my ovaries were about to explore with my 5 follicles so I can’t imagine how you might have felt with 38!

We are also doing ICSI, but we knew about it beforehand. We have been told that if the sperm parameters, especially morphology, are not great it will give us the best chance for success. With your high number of eggs you should have a higher probability of having several good embryos, fingers crossed for you 💪🏼.

Unfortunately still no period. I have asked and the doctor said it should come by the end of the weekend. I've had loads of sex and going to eat some pineapple in the hope it encourages it on! It'll just be a pain as I might have to come back and go back out again and my husband has an important meeting on 26th so really needs to be back for that.
I'm not worrying about though. There is very little you can control in this process!

I’m fine with freeze all, maybe a little disappointed but I want to be safe, that’s the main thing. And hopefully won’t have to wait too long. How are you feeling this evening? Hope you’re ok.

@Daniki i know I was the same with anyone that had their transfer before me just dying to get going 😂 no not a thing yet 😂

I got the call from the embryologist this morning, 3 out of our 5 eggs have fertilised. They said it was goods news, however even if I am aware of the statistics I am still a little disappointed as I was hoping for a miracle.

We now have to wait until the transfer day to know if any of them have made it to day 5, as our clinic have a policy to leave the embryos in peace and not manipulating them too much. This is very nerve-racking, I don’t know how I will wait until Wednesday!
