Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

Glad to hear everything went well for both you and @YellowTack It's exciting to get everything started isn't it!😁I noticed you also mentioned having acupuncture, I've never tried it but have heard good things, would you recommend?

Progress scan went well I think, they were happy with my lining and kept my meds dosage the same, but depending on how my scan goes tomorrow, they might bump it up a bit, see how much growing everything's done in that couple of days I guess

Glad to hear the scan went well and that you are on track. I really like acupuncture but for me it really is a way to relax rather than pining any hopes on it making a difference. I find it really helps with sleep too which is a bonus plus she lives on my road so it’s super convenient. I would certainly recommend it to anyone going through ivf if you need help to destress/relax. I can’t speak to it helping outcomes but like I say that’s not why I’m doing it.

more than happy to share. I’m going to Prague, been out once to check out the clinic/meet cons/have bloods/get meds and was able to do it in a day. This time we are going for longer, 7-10 days. I just booked it as annual leave for work so no issues.

For all I highly recommend acupuncture. I felt very chilled after and came home and had a really nice nap! I have no idea if it helps but worth a go imo

Oh that’s cool. We genuinely didn’t even consider abroad but I always find it interesting to hear about people’s different experiences. I hope the trip is also an opportunity for some relaxing as well!

@Daniki same! It’s all just one long waiting game. Starting injections Thursday twice daily how about you? I’ve almost missed the injections in a strange way I just always felt like at least when I was doing them I was doing something pro-active 😂

I feel the same! 😂 starting on Sunday, same twice per day! ☺️

Painty04 · 04/09/2024 18:25

Thanks @teampacey and @MrsBP15 for the acupuncture feedback, I think anything that helps relaxation is worth looking into, especially right now 😂Been told today that my EC is moving forward to this Friday! Which is exciting, but I'm suddenly feeling quite nervous about it.

Having an EC on a Friday is great news! I had mine last Friday and was glad to have the weekend to rest 🙃

Cloverhoof1234 · 04/09/2024 21:47

@Painty04 do you know what size your follicles got to to have your EC bought forward?

Mine was suppose to be Friday but they say there isn't anything worth collecting and nothing really getting big. Was looking forward to days without injections 😏

WarriorsComeOutToPlayay · 04/09/2024 21:50

I had my egg transfer today and am keeping everything crossed and hopeful. Best of luck everyone x

The nurse got me to write them down as she read out measurements 😂roughly, from what I recall - 21, 20, 20, 19, 18, 17, 15, 14, 10, 9, 9. So some of them are still too small, but they said waiting till Monday was unlikely to really bring on the smaller ones, whilst the bigger ones were at risk of becoming too big if they waited.

Sorry to hear yours are taking a little longer to get there, have they increased your stims? Hopefully they'll see a good increase by your next scan 🙏

Painty04 · 04/09/2024 22:29

@Lil89 Yes! Weekend rest is ideal and we have no plans either, so can take it easy 🙂 How did you EC go? Anything you would recommend doing / taking with us for before/ after?

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayay Congratulations on your transfer 😁I hope the TWW flies by and everything goes well for you!!

No they haven't upped stims as I have PCOS and don't want to overstimulate.

Wow that's quite a few and v good sizes there.

I've got another scan on Friday so we shall see what change there is.
Thanks

EC went well so I wouldn't stress! I took a dressing gown but didn't use it, i would say my best tip would be to rest as I was sore for at least 3 days afterwards 😣

I think if there’s any way you can squeeze in an acupuncture appointment before EC then do it. If not before ET would be a great shout as well. That’s exciting that you’ve got EC tomorrow, will be thinking of you!xx

So exciting re your ET! How did you feel afterwards? Have you get any nice plans for TWW? It’s really interesting re EC because the advice is day of and day after to rest but pretty much everyone I’ve spoken to says it took a good three days for them to recover. I’m due to have mine on a Saturday so I’m going to prepare work for me to not be in on the Monday I think x

God I must be crazy because I had EC and then went straight back into leading my class into Sport’s day in July…… if it makes anyone feel better I got 4 embryos. Do what feels right. I know sitting round wouldn’t work for me and I’d overthink. Half the time, I can’t keep up with this thread.

Had anyone else been sedated for ET? That’s another whole day I’ll be off and it’s making anxious.

Lil89 · 05/09/2024 18:30

@MrsBP15 ET felt much better than EC, was only like a tough Smear test so all ok 👌

Let us know how you get on this week 🙃

In my clinic we are only sedated for EC not ET, not sure if everywhere is the same!

That’s the same as my clinic but whilst I was under sedation for EC they did a catheter test and have said I will be sedated for ET too. This isn’t usual practise anywhere so I’m a bit worried that mine must be tricky.

Painty04 · 05/09/2024 20:18

@Cloverhoof1234 Makes total sense that they'd be wary of over stimulating you, better to be careful. Still I hope your scan goes well tomorrow!

@Lil89 Thanks for the advice and congratulations on you ET! How are you feeling about the TWW?

@MrsBP15 Unfortunately just didn't have enough notice to arrange acupuncture before tomorrow, but think I'll try and organise a session before ET (all going well, everything crossed!) and thank you, feel a little anxious about it atm, but I'm sure I'll feel better once I'm at the clinic in the morning.

@SlinkMcSlink No mention of sedation for ET at my clinic, but that could simply be because they don't think I'll need it. If yours is looking tricky its probably going to be more comfortable to have it done that way

I’m feeling good thanks @Lil89 , nervous but trying to stay relaxed and knowing that other than eating and sleeping well there’s little I can do! How are you feeling? It’s nice to have a bit of hope isn’t it 😊

Lil89 · 05/09/2024 21:19

I've been trying to walk a little more and taken extra Vitamin E to help with blood flow 🙃

Also keep rubbing my tummy and talking to it 😂 silly I know but every little helps 🙏

WarriorsComeOutToPlayay · 05/09/2024 22:01

Yes to vitamin E. I was told to keep up the folic acid and vitamin D as well. It’s not silly to talk to it, go for it!

Painty04 · 06/09/2024 18:03

@Cloverhoof1234 How did your scan go today?

YellowTack · 07/09/2024 09:46

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is going well and that the EC/ET this week went well!

Quick question, I see that most people are getting Lubion but I am not, I will just get Cyclogest pessaries. Is that normal or should I push my clinic to get Lubion?

Thanks
