Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

@teampacey grand today only had that wee bit yest and nothing since thank god so taking it as it's normal! Iv booked in for bloods again on Tuesday so hopefully will see a big jump and that will keep me calm for another while 😂

YellowTack · 27/09/2024 09:15

OMG Ladies it’s positive, I can’t believe it!

I feel so blessed and can’t stop crying, not sure how I will get any work done today 😂.

I also used an early response test (I buy them in bulk on Amazon), and I did 2 this morning at 9dp5dt just to be sure! There is definitely a line but it’s not super dark so I don’t know if I would have been able to see it at 7dp5dt for example.

I have done sooooo many of these tests over the years and I still can’t believe there are 2 lines!

YellowTack · 27/09/2024 09:21

@Daniki good to hear you are doing better, I think with IVF pregnancies we are even more worried that something might happen!

@SlinkMcSlink I had no idea there could be a link. I don’t know why but I think my embryo is a girl!

@teampacey it looks like you have great numbers, finger crossed your little embryos are growing well!

Lucymorris · 27/09/2024 09:26

IVFML · 27/09/2024 08:28

Wow @SlinkMcSlink I had no idea. 72% / 2x more likely for grade 5/6 to be male , maybe due to growth factor genes in Y chromosome… or just less work copying the smaller Y chromosome vs 2X 🙃

thanks @Lucymorris will look out for home bargain. DH wants to wait… I’ll see how I feel next week 👀 5dt…

Ah ok so basically the higher the grade the more likely it is to be male, is that what it’s saying?! I also read hcg levels are higher for girls than boys so can show up sooner on a test. My friend tested a few days after missed period and it was negative, a few days later was positive and she’s having a boy. I forgot to answer your question - I first tested 5dpt and was negative. My first extremely faint positive was 6dpt.
@YellowTack massive congratulations ❤️ may those lines continue to get darker for you 🙏🏻🤞🏼
@teampacey thank you, everything crossed for you 🤞🏼
xx

Aw big congrats 🙌 delighted for you!! 😍
Yes defo a big worry especially as it's such a long process and if you've had losses in the past! I'm over thinking everything, have a sore back today! I can't even really remember what I was like with my only successful pregnancy 🙈

Daniki · 27/09/2024 09:46

@Lucymorris I think I read somewhere that IVF tends to produce more boys than girls? Can't remember where I read that tho!

teampacey · 27/09/2024 10:16

@YellowTack OMG yay! Huge congrats!!!!

This feels like a lucky thread!

@Daniki so glad it's stopped, roll on your bloods!

teampacey · 27/09/2024 10:56

Just got an email from the clinic

3 embryos with 4 cells, quality 1-2
2 embryos with 4 cells, quality 1
1 embryo with 5 cells, quality 1-2
1 embryo with 6 cells, quality 1-2.
Quality rating:
1- the best quality
2- good, middle quality.

Daniki · 27/09/2024 11:41

@teampacey sounds good? 👌 🤩

teampacey · 27/09/2024 12:04

Yeah I think so! All a bit of a minefield really. Another update tomorrow then I fly back to Prague Sunday night and will find out on Monday how they've done and hopefully get one put back in!

MrsBP15 · 27/09/2024 17:59

@YellowTack congratulations 🙌🏻 that is wonderful news and super exciting for you. Lovely news to get on a Friday so you can spend the weekend in a happy bubble 🥹

@teampacey those are looking really good well done! Will you be having a frozen transfer then if you’re flying back? Do you know the timeline for that yet?

A question for those of you who have had a frozen transfer….what is the vague timeline for this? I’m sure it’s different for everyone but I’m just trying to vaguely plan my life and I’ve got some big work stuff coming up in November (so annoying, stupid work) so just trying to understand where I might be at with everything. My period is due around 22nd of October and I’m told I will be taking tablets, no injections and pessaries. I know everyone is different and I will ask the doctor about it all but I’d be interested to hear about others experience/timings.

I'm also very interested to hear more about the experiences of those who've done a frozen cycle. @MrsBP15 my period is due 26th October, so I might only be a couple of days behind you...

teampacey · 27/09/2024 18:17

@MrsBP15 hopefully fresh transfer. I'm back home currently as flew home after EC on Wednesday. Flying back out for 5 day transfer and home that night. If we have any left we will freeze in case the fresh doesn't stick.

Sorry I can't answer any questions about FET as this is my first cycle. I think it goes along with your normal cycle though so probably transfer beginning of nov? So hard to work it all out and so many unknowns!

Oh that’s exciting! To be fair mine is normally a day or two out from what my app says so might be more like 24th. You’ll have to remind me, was your planned frozen or were you aiming for fresh? We were going to do fresh so getting head around frozen is new for me.

Sorry @teampacey i must have missed the bit about you flying home 🤪 got everything crossed for you that they continue to develop over the next few days. Quite envious of your fresh transfer I must say! Yes I’m thinking November sometime just hoping it all fits in with work stuff….

@MrsBP15 I had a fresh transfer this cycle but unfortunately it didn't stick. Luckily we have 2 frozen blasts which we can go ahead with in November 🤞

Hey @MrsBP15
so looking back on my Instagram. My period started 10 days after egg collection and was allowed to start FET but started on CD21 (I think!) I started down regging on the 5th October and then had my FET on the 12th of November. Although each clinic might do things differently for FETS, but I guess that gives you a rough idea.

had egg collection today and we were suspecting quite a number of eggs (17-20), however we came out with 10. So I was slightly disappointed as my expectations were higher. I must admit I was getting quite worried whilst in our room as I was developing what felt like ovulation pain which I get each month. I was having a panic that I was going to prematurely ovulate. Thankfully they sent me down a bit sooner than the time for a scan and apparently the follicles were in tact.
pleased to say I can have a fresh transfer but really hoping for a good quality as opposed to quantity this time (had 25 mature eggs in 2019).

all in all it took a month. I had EC the 16th aug, withdrawal bleed about 4 days later and then back on Fematab. Had a scan on the 2nd sep to check lining etc and then was booked for my FET sep 13th!

Lucymorris · 27/09/2024 20:45

My frozen transfer this month was on day 19 of my cycle. It’s based on when you ovulate, I ovulated on day 14. I had a natural cycle so no injections this time, just pessaries twice a day. Hope that helps @MrsBP15

naomimn · 27/09/2024 20:54

Mind if I join? I'm starting injections today.

Last cycle I had Gonal F and Menopur - pretty terrible results, no euploid embryos from 8 fertilised.

This cycle I am having Provera and Menopur.

Worried as both have Menopur that I'll have the same terrible results again...
I'm late 20s if that matters, unexplained infertility.

teampacey · 28/09/2024 10:03

Day 3 update!

3 embryos with 9-16 cells, quality 1-2
2 embryos with 8 cells, starting to compact (divide), quality 1-2
1 embryo with 8 cells, quality 1
1 embryo with 9-16 cells, quality 2.

Eeeeek! I kept dreaming none of them had made it last night so feeling relieved this morning. Just booking my flights now and will not hear anything else until I'm there on Monday.
Have booked acupuncture for before and after the transfer.

teampacey · 28/09/2024 10:06

How you feeling today @CherryBerryBoo? It's hard not to be disappointed isn't it. I thought that when I got 7 but then they all fertilised and seem to be doing ok so you just never know! Quality over quantity and we only need one!

Welcome @naomimn I'm sorry I have no clue as this is my first cycle and I had Czech drugs (having my treatment abroad). Fingers crossed you get good results.

PurpleRayne89 · 28/09/2024 10:41

Just to update I’m 5dp5dt and BFN on FRER. How disappointing 😞

SlinkMcSlink · 28/09/2024 10:42

@Lucymorris Yes about the higher the grade more likely to be a male! That’s what I found from doing some research. Not sure how true it is though as it’s only sample studies. I think they’re saying 5AA 5AB are more likely to be boy as they’re quicker at growing. There’s more to it but quite interesting.
