Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

@YellowTack FairPlay on your willpower! Only 2 days to go and you should get a reliable answer on Friday at 9dp5dt. I'm finding the progesterone is making me so crampy, I did ask them today and they said they see spotting etc in 50% of early pregnancies which made me relax a bit! 😅

I am on tenderhooks waiting, I didn't bother going into work then as way too tired! They will ring with results between 2&4!

Thanks everyone! All done and on the way to the airport. They got 8 out of 9 follicles- 7 mature and 1 to watch. My husband's sperm sample wasn't as good as it was in Jan. Concentration has dropped and abnormal morphology has increased. They are doing something called fertile chip to help improve success. We'll get daily updates now until I hopefully return for transfer on Monday. I feel fine. Just want to get home now.

@Sunny406 wow amazing! Got everything crossed for you!

@YellowTack I don't blame you, I am not looking forward to the next couple of weeks! Fingers crossed for Friday!

That's great amount! 🙌

YellowTack · 25/09/2024 13:37

@Daniki fingers crossed for your beta! Good for you to take the day off, this whole process is so draining!

I hate the progesterone pessaries, my boobs are so sore but I also think they are slightly bigger which is the only positive 😂.

Daniki · 25/09/2024 14:59

Just got my results back, officially pregnant ❤️🥹

CherryBerryBoo · 25/09/2024 15:54

@teampacey - amazing, one step closer!!
no unfortunately not, but I am triggering tonight ready for Friday! Late to the party but at least I got there in the end 😂

@teampacey - all the best! Quality over quantity for sure and we are also using the fertile chip (Zymot) hoping that overcomes the poor dna fragmentation we have.

wishing everyone good luck in their TWW and congrats to the BFPs. ❤️

MrsBP15 · 25/09/2024 16:03

@teampacey that’s a great result! How funny, my husband’s results went down since a Jan analysis. His volume was fine but motility not great so we did ICSI instead. Anyway, I hope you’re feeling ok. Fingers crossed for your transfer!!

@MrsBP15 thank you! Any sign of your withdrawal bleed yet?

MrsBP15 · 25/09/2024 16:07

@Daniki oh yes it’s arrived with a vengeance today so I’ve been at home feeling sorry for myself. Remind me is this your first pregnancy?

@MrsBP15 oh lovely and not so lovely 😂 thank god it's came tho so you can start getting a plan in place for FET! 🤩 no, I have a 3.5 yr old son conceived naturally and 3 pregnancies in 2022 that I lost and this will be the 5th one, hope it sticks ❤️❤️

YellowTack · 25/09/2024 16:33

@Daniki congratulations, that’s amazing!

@teampacey that’s great results!

Hey ladies, hope there’s room for one more 👋 I’m 3dp3dt on my 3rd transfer from 4 rounds and I still forget how hard the TWW is.

Tips on how to keep busy??

Just clicked that going abroad (Prague 👀) has an additional perk of keeping one occupied…

At ARGC this round and the monitoring and drugs is still going. I’m like a human pin cushion 😅

Thought experiment (or real
experience if you have it) of double transfers - if there was a choice, how would /did you/they choose? Was it the best 2 for the best chance, or the best one and a less good one to off-set chance of twins and give you a second shot? Grateful I had any to put back after some dismal rounds really.

Congrats on the BFPs 💛and fingers crossed for those on the rollercoaster (💜 @Natasha90 )✨

Hey! I’m on my second transfer which is a double, my first was a single and was a grade A. I had two left both grade C, one day 5 and one day 6. I’m currently 8dpt and am testing positive 🙏🏻 obviously really early days but this is further than I got last time so keeping positive. The consultant advised to have both put in because it was pointless to just try one when I had two left and it will increase chances of success, he said it increases the chances of twins by 10%, it’s not by 50% like people would think. It also goes to show, and I have read this on an embryologists Instagram page, the grading really is not the be all and end all, my grade A didn’t stick at all. If it’s good enough to put in then it’s good enough! Hope that helps any questions fire away 😊

teampacey · 26/09/2024 12:57

7 out of 7 fertilised!

The immature one didn't make it but I can't complain at that!

Now just have to hope some make it to day 5 🤞

That's great @teampacey! ❤️

I have had a couple of tiny spots of red when I wipe today, terrified now it's over 😩

SlinkMcSlink · 26/09/2024 14:41

That’s amazing @teampacey

hugs @Daniki 💜

congrats @teampacey !! 🥚🥚🥚

@Lucymorris huge congrats!! 💛➕💛 🥳

You know what, I’m a bit of a geek and was obsessing over grades and progression as none of ours made it past day 3 before and came across research suggesting it’s great if an egg that’s a good grade to grow fast (no surprise) but that pregnancy and live birth was nearly just as likely with poorer grade due to fragmentation but only if it grows slowly ie “low” grade day 6 may actually be good ones.

That was going to be my other question… when is the earliest people are testing? 8 dt seems early but if there are signs 👀 did you use a hcg trigger?

SlinkMcSlink · 26/09/2024 20:01

Has anyone read anything about different grades and whether an embryo is more likely to be male to female depending on its stage. Quite interesting reading. Another rabbit hole to go down whilst you’re in the two week wait! 🤣

So I did the ultra early test which you can use up to 6 days before your missed period, it only needs a little bit of hcg to pick up whereas the normal tests need more and it probably wouldn’t show up on that (I haven’t tried a normal test yet). You can get the ultra early ones in home bargains they are only £1 each, don’t need to spend a fortune on clear blue! Each to their own, but I couldn’t wait two weeks I’d rather know either way early on.
@SlinkMcSlink ohhhh what did you find? I did look last time and there didn’t seem to be much of a pattern, some high grade girls and low grade boys and vice versa! Xx

IVFML · 27/09/2024 08:28

Wow @SlinkMcSlink I had no idea. 72% / 2x more likely for grade 5/6 to be male , maybe due to growth factor genes in Y chromosome… or just less work copying the smaller Y chromosome vs 2X 🙃

thanks @Lucymorris will look out for home bargain. DH wants to wait… I’ll see how I feel next week 👀 5dt…

teampacey · 27/09/2024 08:34

Thanks guys! Nervously waiting for today's update now.

The progesterone pessaries are making me wee sooooo much! 🤣

@Daniki how are things today? A little bit of spotting is normal but I know how worrying it must be for you.

@Lucymorris so sorry I missed your positive news! Congrats and so exciting! 🤞 all goes well.

@IVFML yes going to Prague definitely has its advantages! We had a lovely week! I'm super impressed with the clinic. The recovery room was like a spa!

When have you guys decided to test?

@Natasha90 how are you doing?

@CherryBerryBoo is it your EC today? Good luck!
