Anyone doing IVF round in September?✨

Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

@PurpleRayne89 Noooo!! Try and hold on to hope. Your test date isn’t until next week. We’re on exactly the same timeline. 5 days past 5 day frozen. I haven’t gone near a test yet. Too scared and it makes you upset.

I haven’t had chance to relax at all after my transfer. Working all week then at a wedding last night and it’s my Mum’s birthday so no time to think. I was very teary last night as some woman harmlessly asked whether me and my husband wanted kids. Please stop asking other women that!!! Especially strangers.

@CherryBerryBoo I know it’s difficult not no be disappointed by the numbers and everyone says quality over quantity, but that’s true. We only got 5 eggs and 3 fertilised so I was also a bit disappointed, however but they were all good quality and (touch wood) it’s positive so far!

@PurpleRayne89 I know it’s so hard not to test, I did my first test at 9dp5dt and I am convinced that it would have been negative at 5dp, you are not out yet!

@SlinkMcSlink why are people so insensitive ?! One thing I have learnt through this infertility adventure is that we should never ask these types of questions.
Not many of my friends know, but I told one of them that we have been trying for 2 years after she asked when we were having a baby. She then had something stuck in her throat and started coughing and she told me this was karma for her being insensitive 🙄. Like yes of course a little cough is the same as years of struggle and injections!

@PurpleRayne89 try not be disappointed, it's still so early! My tests were all so incredibly faint around that point. A friend of mine didn't get a positive and an extremely faint one at that until 8dp5dt and she is now 23 weeks 🙌

@SlinkMcSlink Oh goodness, you cannot ask people those sorts of questions. Sorry to hear that. I think my hope has gone. No symptoms and BFN. I’ll prepare mentally for my 3rf cycle instead.

Blood test
One study of 369 patients undergoing IVF showed that an early blood test for pregnancy at five to six days after the transfer was very predictive of successful pregnancies for both fresh and frozen embryo transfers. The studylooked at 160 positive and 84 negative blood pregnancy tests, measured five to six days after transfer. Of the positive blood tests, 73.9% had a live birth and 16.2% had a biochemical loss (early miscarriage). Of the negative blood tests, 20% were positive on days nine to 11, but 82.4% of these were biochemical losses and only 3.6% had a live birth.

Do you mind if I join in? I’m in my TWW now, 5dp5dt. I’m in the FET cycle, which is my 6th attempt overall and we had dd from another FET 4.5 years ago. Waiting time is killing me, however no home testing this time 🙈

3rd October 🙏 however, still doing blood work every other day, not to mention 2 daily injections! Why is it soooo intense? 🙈

@NadiaSeq Mine is 4th October. Next week will drag for us! I’m doing a lubion injection every morning, 3 oestrogen tablets a day and cyclogest pessary each night.

I tested this morning 6dp5dt. Maybe it’s 5dp5dt as I had an early blast and it’s positive on a FRER. Came up right away. I’ll attach some photos. Praying for progression.

@SlinkMcSlink I tested because because I was afraid of a bad surprised like last cycle. I wouldn’t suggest testing as it can cause misery but I believe you will get some good news. X

My clinic don’t do blood tests so I will have to wait until the 7-week scan to have some reassurance. I am still testing everyday, it relaxes me a little to see the 2 lines again!
