Anyone doing IVF round in September?✨

Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

That’s amazing news! Over half is really good going. I know people say it a lot but you just need one to hang on in there over the next few days! How are you feeling physically? I’ve been surprised by how good I feel. I’m a bit tired but that’s it. Hope you’ve got some nice plans for the weekend xx

@Painty04 it's so hard to wait it out 😂 just try and keep busy! (I'm one to talk nearly mad to yest already and I'm day past 😂)

@MrsBP15 omg 38 eggs! That's fantastic, and great to change to a freeze all as your body will defo need time to recover etc. ICSI is good as will pick the best sperm. I think unless the men have dna fragmentation test done they don't really have the "full picture"'I'm surprised it's not offered more(we didn't have it either I'm just basing it off what iv read)

@YellowTack that's great 3 have fertilised, don't be feeling worried as that's a great outcome so far! My clinic were the same not hearing anything until day 5, it's a pain in the hole but it will go quickly! Have a lovely chill wknd with some nice food, and watch loads of tele!

Thank you @Daniki i certainly feel very lucky that they got so many but of course it’s about quality so we’ll have to see. They are calling me tomorrow morning for the first update so I’ll know more then. The sperm thing is really interesting 🤨 the embryologist was surprised that no one had mentioned ICSI to us at all. She was very sweet about especially as it’s an added cost we were not expecting to pay so we were a little taken aback. But hey what can you do!

Of those who have done a freeze all deferred cycle can you tell me if you noticed any difference in your cycles ie when your period came? I know I am due a withdrawal bleed in the next ten days or so. I just wondered if the meds really mess with your cycles.

@MrsBP15 I got AF after EC after 6 days and then the AF after that was a little delayed. Cycle was 34 days and normally my cycles are 29-30 days. X

I've started spotting! Wooohooo come on period! Hoping it comes tonight and then I can start meds tomorrow 🤞

@MrsBP15 mine came on the Tuesday evening after EC the Friday before, all in all it was a quick around! Are u in much pain?

Thanks @SlinkMcSlink was the one 6 days after your period or withdrawal bleed? They said I would get a withdrawal bleed and then a period I think?

I feel absolutely fine physically. I literally had pain for about twenty mins after the procedure and that’s been it. I think they were quite perplexed at the clinic with how good I was feeling! Even went for a walk today! Mentally, I’m ok I’m keen for this phone call tomorrow to give us a bit more clarity.

Thanks @Daniki was that your period or withdrawal bleed. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. If I didn’t know I’d had the procedure I wouldn’t have thought they’d actually done it! Felt a little tired yesterday and today but nothing to write home about. I don’t know if this is normal or if people are normally in more pain? I’m obviously not complaining but do find it weird x

@MrsBP15 well they said withdrawal bleed but felt like a normal heavy period to me 😂 that's good then you should have nothing really standing in your way! I started tablets the following day then to prepare for the frozen transfer!

Thanks @Daniki the clinic said to me the withdrawal bleed is akin to a heavy period but that it definitely wasn’t a period so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe different clinics do it differently. I’ll probably speak to our specialist once we know how many (if any) embryos we have.

@MrsBP15 6 days after was the withdrawal bleed and then 34 days after I got AF.

I HAVE MY PERIOD!!!!! At long bloody last!!!

I'm so relieved to finally start! I will start my meds tonight as it came last night and then we are going to Prague on Wednesday. It has messed timings up quite a bit but nothing we can do but go with it. I'll have scans day 7&9- although that may change a bit as the clinic is not open on Sundays which would be day 9. Then collection should be between days 11-14. I'll likely come home after EC and then go back for transfer on my own.

@MrsBP15 I am also surprised by how well I feel physically. I am still taking it easy just in case but I don’t have any pain.

I have heard back from my coordinator and need to start my meds tomorrow not tonight as it was so late when my period came last night so they are counting today as day 1. I have my first scan booked for Friday! I'm worried I may need to fly home straight after EC so it's reassuring to hear you both felt well. Hopefully I will too.

@MrsBP15 my withdrawal bleed came 12 days after EC but I did have a lot of stims so that maybe delayed mine. My period then came on day 36, my cycle is usually 27 days. Congrats on so many eggs!

I’ve only done ICSI and fertilisation rate has been good so fingers crossed you’ve lots of embryos in the freezer x

Thankfully I got my smiley face on my ovulation tests this morning so just waiting on confirmation of transfer day from the clinic, I think it should be Friday!

Yes we will be combining it with some chill time and sightseeing. It'll be lovely to have to time just the two of us!

Morning all, had my official testing day (home test) yesterday and confirmed as negative 😳

@teampacey OTD 23rd September! I’ve tested today at 6dp5dt and done a clear blue ultra early with what I think was veeeery faint positive.. so not sure what those tests are like for accuracy 😂

Unsure now though so don’t think I’ll test again.. wish I didn’t test tbh 😂
