Hi,
Is anyone else getting ready for FET in August? I've just started oestrogen got my 1st scan booked for next Wednesday.
This is our first transfer so lots of mixed emotions but trying to remain really positive.

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining on. Fet tomorrow! Really unsure about it, this is our 2nd attempt but first frozen.
First scan had my lining at 7.8 and they wanted 8 so delayed transfer date by a few days, then last scan my lining was difficult to read - at first they said it may have even gone down, but then just got a reading of 8.2 but delayed transfer date again because of annual leave at the clinic!! I requested another scan for today because I hate the unknowing of it and it's our only frozen embryo! Don't want to wait until tomorrow morning to find out.
A great comfort from those of you with BFP's though! Congratulations!

Good luck everyone. I’m going to leave this thread as I’ve just got off the phone with my consultant and I’m starting my medicated cycle on next cycle which will be around the 10th September. So looking to transfer towards the end of September/beginning of October.

Little bit frustrated with waiting round but she’s said there are 4 embryos with good grading so that should reassure me. I hope everyone gets positives and looks after themselves! Xx

Is anyone still about a week away from FET? I had day 10 scan today and my lining is only 5.8mm, so annoyed my body wont do what it is meant to do. They are sure I will get a nice increase before my next scan Wednesday as I have 2 follicles at 16mm. Based on my other abandoned cycles, think this one will be too :(

Massive congrats to those that have had positives.

Going for another scan tomorrow as the one from last week showed my lining wasn't reaching their 8mm limit. So (hopefully) transfer would only be Tuesday next week @AnonS so we can wait together!

@MA48 did you get a reply from your clinic for another scan? So annoying they delay transfer date because of annual leave! Would think that there are enough staff to not have to do that. I find any change of plan difficult to deal with, probably because I have everything laid out in my head 😄

@SlinkMcSlink Good luck! And glad you managed to make the decision on natural vs medicated cycle!

@AnonS are you doing a natural cycle? Sorry to hear you had to abandon previous cycles. that's so frustrating!! Hopefully there's a nice increase for your next scan.

@Loute02 so frustrated that they had to change it for that reason!! But ho hum - hopefully it's just given my lining more time to plump up and not deflate! But yes they're going to see me this afternoon, so we don't unnecessarily defrost the embryo - you'd think they would do this anyway?! Hope your scan goes well tomorrow! 🤞

@Loute02 Is this your 1st? How are you feeling towards to?

@SamVan I am doing a modified natural. I took letrozole for 5 days at the beginning of cycle to try and make 2 follicles grow, which it has. No amount of estrogen tablets or patches seem to work for me. In fact when I have taken them, it is the thinnest my lining is, almost like my body rejects it.

Depending how much my lining grows by Wednesday, if over 7mm they will trigger me, if not, they will leave me to ovulate naturally and check me again. I prefer natural ovulation.

@AnonS I did a modified natural too - but without the letozole we just used a trigger. My cycl was soo slow I wish I had used letrozole. Good luck with your next scan!! Not much more to grow.

@SamVan I think my lining will let me down. I have compared it to previous ones and it is behind :(

@SamVan i think we are transfer twins! How are you feeling?

@AnonS you still have a couple of days hopefully it grows! It must be so frustrating to be in limbo waiting though. Are you in the same protocol for the cycles where your lining grew sufficiently thick?

@Ruby4444 yay! Transfer twins. I don’t feel anything except progesterone symptoms. Gassy, hot, stomachaches, tired. Weirdly my boobs don’t hurt or look swollen as they often do in this phase of my cycle. I took a test today (caved!! And used testing out the trigger as an excuse) and it was negative. How about you? Any symptoms?

@SamVan oh bless you! So so early to test though. When are you planning on testing next? I’m the same, my only symptom is sore boobs but I had these before transfer from the progesterone anyway. No cramps or anything. Feel like I’m trying to symptom spot and driving myself a bit crazy! Is this your first transfer?

@Ruby4444 I’m not sure when I’ll test next. I’m hanging out with pregnant friends tomorrow and Thursday and I know I won’t be in the mood to talk about their pregnancies and plans after a negative test so I might have to wait till Thursday evening. What about you? When are you testing? I’m symptom spotting too - it is driving me crazy and I also think there’s actually not much evidence you can tell if you’re pregnant at this stage based on symptoms. It is my first fet, is it yours?

@SamVan oh bless you, I don’t blame you one bit! It’s so hard. I bet you just tested to early! Keep me updated ❤️ I won’t be testing in until at least the 21st, I can’t deal with the heartbreak of seeing a negative test. I completely agree I feel like you’re more likely not to have symptoms than have them at this stage - plus all the progesterone just messes with symptoms anyway.

Had my second scan this morning and lining was all good at 9.0mm. Transfer scheduled for next Tuesday. Starting Lubion injections and utrogestan pessaries on Thursday. Feeling quite excited about it now!
This will be my second FET but 4th cycle (1st fresh one gave me my son, 2nd fresh ended up in a freeze all, 3rd was first FET and ended up on BFN).

@MA48 did you have your transfer today? How are you feeling?

@Loute02 so pleased for you that you have a great lining measurement now! It makes such a difference when you know you're moving forward with everything.

I did have my transfer this morning, yes all went well thank goodness! Pretty seamless in fact so hopefully that's a good sign. I'm also having acupuncture this time so had a session of that pre&post, so a fair bit of travelling around to appointments today but husband chauffeured me around! We of course got our Maccies fries after though 🤞 so since I've just had a quiet afternoon, including a nap on the sofa 😂 feeling fine, just a bit exhausted but that's probably just the emotional toll of it all!

@SamVan I am doing the same as my previous one, but that only got to 7mm. Had day 12 scan today and I am only 6.5mm. They gave me the choice on whether to go ahead with FET. I think due to it consistently being thin and there is nothing more than can do, is the reason they are saying it. So we have agreed to do it - basically have 4 still frozen if it fails and I am not getting any younger being 41. They have booked a scan Friday, but if I surge before which I will (always a day 14) then they will just book transfer in.

@Loute02 how are you getting on?

I've just had the results of my biopsy and it's all clear so I have a scan to check my lining next Wednesday! 🥳

@AnonS it must be so annoying that the lining keeps letting you down. But you have a great number of embryos and the fact they are willing to transfer suggests they think there’s a decent chance! I would have done the same thing in your shoes. All the best with the transfer next week!!

@Kp121 how are you feeling now?? How many dpt are you today? ☺️

Those who have or are testing what tests are you using? I brought the cheap easy@home ones to keep me sane during the tww lol however it's having the opposite effect as I'm now stressing cos they are all negative but still understand I'm only 6dp5dt. I know there's still time for it to change but wondering if I'm wasting my time with those tests. I have some clearblues I was saving for otd but I don't know how long I will hold out on that lol

Hi @Ruby4444 im 10dp5dt now. Only thing I’ve been struggling with is my stomach. Feel “normal” other than that and a bit tired :)

@Kp121 I'm feeling okay just obviously not happy I'm not seeing the result I want but do keep telling myself I still have another week till the actual test date. I shall keep going but another week of this and I think I shall have gone completely crazy 🤪 😂
