Hey @HopefulllHolly! How have you been? Scan day getting closer? 🥰🥳
Thanks, I follow her too but I didn't see any facts/data, maybe I missed it - it's Emma, right? Anyone using this clinic?
Last month, with my only 2 blasto: my day 5 was very good (4AA), grew very well and passed the PGTA test. My day 6 was looking just as good, 4AB but came back abnormal. This cycle, none of my 3 fertilised were ready on day 5 (today) and apparently they might need more time so potentially day 6 or longer 😔

HopefulllHolly · 06/06/2024 21:09

Im good thank you! It was today @Ginie2024 🥹 All went well and saw the little heartbeat fluttering away. Very lucky to be at this point, never thought we’d get here! Didn’t feel right to update on here randomly! But I’m still lurking to see how you girls get on! ☺️

Have some faith in your embryos, just because it’s a day 6 doesn’t mean it will be abnormal at all, though I know it’s easy to link things together like that as you want to look for patterns to help you have some sort of control. Yeah it was Emma - maybe it was just a story or something she did on a Q+A. I sent her a message with a question a while ago and she replied, or you could wait for another Q+A. But you’ll see lots of people with day 6 babies, sometimes they just need a little longer 🙂 but they have just as much chance as day 5s. You can Google day 6 embryo success on forums and you’ll see lots of positive stories. Where are you with your cycle now? Have you had a transfer already? Hope you’re ok! This journey is so stressful at every point so I hope you’re looking after yourself xx

Yeh I’ll keep testing for sure, just feel it in my gut and the warm feeling I had in my tummy is gone .. boobs still sore but that’s prob progesterone .and .. I guess I am going by loads of tests I see online and tests I have done myself in the past, if pregnant .. I have a stronger line by now.. usually if there’s not really a line around now it’s not usually a good sign ..am just being super realistic I think 🤷🏼‍♀️ if it gets darker will be a miracle 😂 I hope it can prove me wrong but I think I know .. if it changes I’ll let ya all know xx

Ginie2024 · 06/06/2024 22:54

Congrats @HopefulllHolly!! I am so pleased for you ❤️ The heartbeat scan is the best thing in the world indeed, good luck until the end of the first trimester 💪
I have been reading a ton about day5/6, which probably stresses me out more now haha - let's see, PGTA results in 2 weeks so I'll know then! No transfer for me just yet, just banking on as many as I can due to bad quality and age 🤷‍♀️

RunningOnHope · 07/06/2024 08:05

Thinking of you @hopefullsosbry, how is your test looking today?

We will all stay hopeful for you @hopefullsosbry but I totally understand about being realistic. I am already imagining (and dreading) what it will feel like if we get a negative and the fact this cycle will all be over and we need to start again. Which we don't have the money to do 😫 But I am going to try and stay as positive as I can until my test day on the 12th - might as well enjoy these days of "maybe" being pregnant while I got them 🙏🏻💜

HopefulllHolly · 07/06/2024 11:10

Thank you all! I’ll keep lurking so I can see some of you get your BFPs 🥰

@positivepetal Post transfer I did a few things but most of them are like old wives tales I’m sure:

  • kept feet warm (slept in socks, ugh!)
  • drank hot or warm drinks, nothing iced or freezing cold
  • ate lots of green veg and asparagus and avocados (basically half an avo a day)
  • ate lots of organic Alaskan salmon (lol - cost me a fortune) and ate high protein meals
  • drank pomegranate juice every day before transfer and after
  • kept myself warm generally
  • got lots of sleep (9 hours a night)
  • kept moving - I think some clinics tell you to rest but I went on a dog walk after my transfer, my clinic said to do normal stuff)
  • no baths or too hot showers

There was some other stuff too but those were the main things I did. God knows if anyone them helped! I’ve read the thing about warm feet and warm foods quite a bit though so I did stick to that!

@HopefulllHolly thank you!

PurpleRayne89 · 07/06/2024 19:57

Hey Peeps

I am playing catch up. I’ve been away, a much needed break! I hope you’re all doing ok ☺️ I had an aqua scan today or a SIS to some to see whether there are any obstructions in my uterus. The test was clear but I’m in bed feeling sorry for myself as it wasn’t pleasant. My doctor was more like a mechanic rather than a doctor. The metrodonazole antibiotic given after has made me feel very sick.

HelloJillll · 07/06/2024 21:44

Hey @PurpleRayne89, is that a saline scan? My clinic have suggested it for me.

Sorry you’re having a rubbish time 💐

PurpleRayne89 · 07/06/2024 22:21

@HelloJillll yes, the saline scan. I had one a few years back which was fine and I discovered it had fibroids which were subsequently removed. This time was to look for possible obstructions. All seemed fine. Why has it been suggested for you? Thanks, hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

I’ve just had a couple of failed transfers despite being top grade and tested embryos. I had surgical management for a MMC last year so suggested giving it go. Belt and braces approach!

DogMummy87 · 08/06/2024 07:08

Hey! Hope everyone is doing okay. I am 7dp5dt and when I wiped after my first wee today I had a bit of blood. Not much at all, more like discharge and it was dull and rusty in colour rather than bright red like my period usually is. However, it has worried me and I don't plan to test until my OTD on Wednesday. Any positive thoughts on what this could be about would be appreciated as I am so used to every month ending like this that I can't help but feel it is not a good sign! 😫 I will keep an eye and see if it continues as the day goes on! 🙏🏻 Just to add, I have had intermittent cramping for about 3 - 4 days now. Nothing too extreme and not like my usual periods cramps I get. I am not due on my period this month for 4 days and I am taking progesterone pessaries twice a day (rectally).

HopefulllHolly · 08/06/2024 08:13

@DogMummy87 It sounds like older blood which could be a positive sign, hard to say without testing though. I had a tiny spot of light pink discharge on 5dp5dt which I now think was implantation bleeding, but I would have missed it if I wasnt in the 2WW it was so small! You’d probably get a positive test now if you did test early, but totally get waiting to OTD. It could be either or though which is annoying! Fingers crossed it’s good news ☺️🤞

PurpleRayne89 · 08/06/2024 08:22

@HelloJillll Sorry to hear of your experience so far. I think taking a closer look
is a good idea. Have your clinic considers steroids and or lipids? Sometimes they do this for recurring miscarriages. It’s controversial and not all clinics do it.

AnnieStar12 · 08/06/2024 08:48

@DogMummy87 It’s so tricky as signs of early pregnancy and signs of period coming can be very similar. And then throw progresterone in to the mix it’s hard to know what’s going on!

If you’re feeling worried then an early test at 7dp5dt will be fairly accurate. But totally understand the desire to wait if that feels more manageable.

It’s so hard the TWW, we become so hyper aware of everything happening in our bodies. Hope you can do something nice this weekend to keep distracted x

BakinABaby · 08/06/2024 13:02

@DogMummy87 it could well be from the progesterone gel/ suppositories if you are on them. I did natural cycles with progesterone support a few years ago, and I always started getting pinky rusty coloured discharge in the middle of my luteal phase and it isn’t an uncommon side effect.

I’m 4dp5dt and uhh I dunno… yesterday evening I had a dull ache in my lower back which for me usually is a sure sign the period is a handful of days away. I very specifically remember I didn’t get it the one time I was pregnant. That and the fact that we only got one embryo out of 10 eggs, and that was a 2-3BA, the BA bit is nice, but it means it was barely a blast so kind of a slow grower so now I’m thinking my eggs weren’t very good and I’m feeling my hope is wavering. Doing a first test tomorrow and I don’t know if I’m fearful or excited.

DogMummy87 · 08/06/2024 17:24

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your replies so much! The brown spotting seems to have eased off now as the day has gone on so I am hoping it will stay that way. 🙏🏻 My partner and I have agreed to wait until OTD as I struggle with anxiety generally and it feels like the easiest way for us to manage this challenging time. One test at the time we can be sure the result will be accurate. The challenge now is filling the days until then and not getting into a negative spiral about it all. I am usually quite a physical and active person (do 5 Hiit workouts a week when not in this process) so it is tricky all this resting as it creates so much space to worry and overthink! Hoping today is just an off day and I will wake up feeling more positive about it all tomorrow! 🤞🏻

Thinking of you both @BakinABaby and @DogMummy87 Hope tomorrow is positive for both of you in your testing and not-testing respectively!

BakinABaby · 09/06/2024 07:29

It’s a big fat nothing for me today. I’ll do another in two days at 7dp5dt. I feel too pre-periody to think it could possibly turn a positive tho.
Wishing lots of luck to anyone still waiting!
