FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

@amkw thank youu. I'm so glad for this group honestly don't know what I'd do otherwise. Can't wait for more positives 💓 hope everyone is well x

lemonyfox · 13/06/2024 11:47

@Natty2 congratulations Natty what a lovely line for 8dp5dt! Keeping everything crossed it keeps getting darker and you have a lovely healthy pregnancy 🎉

lemonyfox · 13/06/2024 11:48

Anyone else getting/had bad headaches on progynova? 😭 it's like my head is in a vice by the end of the day

Anna531 · 13/06/2024 13:15

@Natty2 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing, absolutely delighted for you 💕💕💕
and that is a much much stronger line than I’m getting on my FRERs. Had the fear this morning because it’s not got darker, just the same but we’re taking a positive attitude towards it and I’m trying to believe it into being.
this is the best news!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes @lemonyfox - they've been the worst. Drinking tonnes of water/eating little and often seems to help. How long have you been taking them and what dose? I've got my scan tomorrow to check the lining - they've said it must be 8mm or over 🙏🏼🙏🏼. I thought 7mm was fine but apparently not...?

lemonyfox · 13/06/2024 14:12

@Hollielouise 6mg daily (3 x tablets) and only since Monday! I did the long protocol on the synarel spray and that gave me awful headaches too 😭 I am terrible for drinking enough though so you're probably right.

Hopefully your lining looks good tomorrow, I do see conflicting comments everywhere around what mm thickness clinics look for, will it be 6 days post-tomorrow for your transfer date then?

Hollielouise · 13/06/2024 15:01

@lemonyfox oh not easy with the long protocol. 💕 Try increasing the water and see if that helps. I've read some people adjust after a few days. I'm on 8mg (4 tablets a day) and dreading continuing into pregnancy. Headaches are the worst.

So if the lining is good tomorrow I will start progesterone on Sunday and my transfer will be a week later - 21st June. Just hoping tomorrow is ok.

Sierra26 · 13/06/2024 15:21

@lemonyfox sorry about the headaches! I’m not sure yet - I’ve had a few weird short stabby headaches but not sure if they’re related. Definitely feeling a bit sicky after meals though, I need to try the little and more often approach and more water!

Serendipity24 · 13/06/2024 15:54

Congratulations @Natty2, that's a very good line for 8dpt. Hoping you continue to have good news from now on!

I had consultation with the doctor yesterday and I don't know why but I am not feeling very hopeful. He still does not think I need to do anything for the microbiome other than taking probiotics, which I have been doing for the past two years anyway.

He suggested I go to GP for medication to bring the TSH down. Now trying to get a GP appointment is quite a task at my surgery :(

For the polyp and suspected fibroid, he suggested either saline hysterosonogram followed by hysteroscopy if anything is found in the former or straight hysteroscopy where these can be removed then and there if found. As these need to be done during the first 10/12 days of the cycle, this rules out any FET in July, so August is the earliest we could try now.

Capybara95 · 13/06/2024 16:05

hi everyone, sorry I joined the group then haven’t said much but no real progress from me. We completed our consent forms last night and my period is due this weekend so would really love to be able to do our transfer this cycle but not sure how quickly things will progress. So great to see a couple of positives so far!! Congratulations ❤️

@Serendipity24 sorry to hear you won’t be able to have your transfer this month. Just wanted to say when I got my TSH originally it was too high and I got levothyroxine from my GP to bring it down but I’ve always been doing a lot of research about selenium. App it is very good for thyroid function and a lot of people are deficient in it. I’ve been eating 2 Brazil nuts a day as they contain the daily recommended amount of selenium! Can’t confirm if it’s worked for me or not but willing to try it alongside the tablets just thought it might be worth sharing

Serendipity24 · 13/06/2024 16:15

Thanks @Capybara95 , that's a very useful advice. Hope your cycle goes on smoothly 🍀

Anna531 · 13/06/2024 16:41

@Hollielouise @lemonyfox do you take your progynova all together? My clinic said I could break it up so I do 2 first thing and 2 at lunchtime and it really helped how awful it made me feel x

@Serendipity24 sorry to hear today brought more questions than answers. Hopefully you can get a GP appointment sorted x

lemonyfox · 13/06/2024 16:47

@Anna531 no I'm taking them spaced morning/lunch/night, I wasn't really given any advice other than don't take all 3 together as you'll get blinding headaches. You're on 8mg also then?

@Hollielouise out of curiosity how come you're also on 8mg? I wonder why some are put on 6 versus 8.

@Sierra26 ah I'm sorry you're getting them too, they're pants 😭

Hollielouise · 13/06/2024 17:22

@Anna531 and @lemonyfox I literally spread mine out one at a time through the day 😅 The nurse said it was a good idea so have done it from the start but am endlessly taking pills 🫠
No idea why I'm on 8mg. I think it's a standard protocol at my clinic... I've also read lots on 6mg online though.

Natty2 · 13/06/2024 18:25

Thank you all 💛 Will just keep hoping the line progresses and all is well- been having really bad cramps this afternoon

Good luck for those hopefully having transfers next week!

@Serendipity24 I'm sorry the consultation has brought more tests to undergo. I hope you manage to get the GP appointment as soon as possible x

Anna531 · 13/06/2024 18:25

@lemonyfox yes I’m on 4 a day. I started on two and it was a gradual build up to three then four a few days before transfer and ongoing. I’ve seen lots of people with differing quantities, same with the progesterone. It’s hard to know what’s best so we trust the clinic knows what we need best x

Serendipity24 · 13/06/2024 18:56

Thanks @Natty2 and @Anna531 , hope everything goes smoothly for both of you from now on.

Sherr33 · 14/06/2024 06:20

😢 I've woke up today and feel like my period is coming. It's hard to explain but I'm getting achy pain. Not full on cramps but mini ones. I was trying to be positive but now I don't know. Arghhh I hate this.

@Sherr33 Urgh, sorry this hasn’t been an easy ride since your transfer. Surely you wouldn’t come on your periods this early normally would you? Hopefully it’s not period pains!

@Sherr33 hope you're ok, I've had period cramps on and off since transfer which got worse over the last few days so don't worry too much (I know easier said than done!)
Still surprised to see a similar line this morning 🤞

Thank you @amkw @Natty2 I don't know my partner bless him keeps mentioning the names he likes and I don't want to let him down but that so silly of me to even think and take on myself.
I'm on day 4 today. The day after transfer this time have been so emotional. Maybe it's because of the failed fresh and the fact an embryo didn't make the thaw. I'm all doom n gloom.

amkw · 14/06/2024 10:41

@Sherr33 I think it’s very normal
to be doom and gloom. It’s all beyond your control now so don’t think you’re letting anyone down.

As much as I’m looking forward to
my transfer I’m also dreading the 2ww as I know I’m going to be so stressed and the thought of doing the pregnancy test is already giving me anxiety. 😅 I think I’m going to do it alone - I did last time too.

Sherr33 · 14/06/2024 10:58

@amkw I did that for my fresh cycle so the day I went I for my blood test that morning I also took a pregnancy test and didn't look at it till I got home and it was a negative.

Honestly this is just such a roller coaster of emotions. Completely out of control. I'm just sat working with some youtube positive transfer videos playing in the background 🫠

How is everyone else...how many in their TWW and how many transferring soon?

@Sherr33 my clinic don’t do bloods. They just phone on the test day to ask if you’re pregnant or not.

Do you have anything planned for the weekend? All this stress makes me fancy a wine but of course you can’t drink!
