FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

My result has come back negative, absolutely devastated. Might take a break from IVF, but just worried about my age and deteriorating eggs

Natty2 · 14/06/2024 17:25

@Eljane34 I'm so sorry to hear this 💔

@Eljane34 I'm so sorry to hear this.

@amkw my clinic say bloods just to make sure. I know it is only day 4 but I did a test and it was negative. I havent told my partner I took the test but did tell him I was feeling like this hadn't worked and he just said we will take a break and try again with the remaining towards end if the year. I found this transfer quite hard and to be honest wasn't really 100% about starting so soon but because he did I kind of agreed but I'm glad we are on the same page going forward 😀

@Sherr33 Its good to have a plan and even better you’re both on the same page. Fingers crossed for this one though for you! 🤞

So sorry @Eljane34 . Please look after yourself. You still have plenty of time so don’t worry about that now.

@Serendipity24 I am sorry to hear about the further testing, it seemed endless when they suggest more testing. I did the saline scan in May a week before the Emma and Alice to rule out any scarring from my c-section. It’s the quicker test if the polyp/ fibroid is only a suspicion because as you know the hysteroscopy is done under sedation and is several times the cost but also the gold standard. Difficult decision.

My transfer is pushed back to July, I am kind of glad now as it would have been next week and currently recovering from Covid. I know it’s just a flu but feeling rough. Also, I have never felt more unfit so feel like some workouts to feel alive after I am well will definitely help.

Congratulations @Natty2 . Fingers crossed this is it for you.

Serendipity24 · 14/06/2024 22:42

@Eljane34 really sorry to hear that. Hope you have good support around you, take care of yourself.

@Faith2024 thanks for sharing your experience. I think the polyp is more certain as two different sonographers saw it but the fibroid is suspected by only one of them. I had a hysteroscopy in March and a polyp was removed then. It's not ideal to have two hysteroscopies in such a short span of time. We are leaning towards saline scan first because it's less invasive though of course will need hysteroscopy again if their presence is confirmed. The more pressing question is why polyps are recurring. The fertility doctor doesn't seem to be worried but my husband has spoken to his Gynae colleagues and they think it needs looking at- we shouldn't be needing hysteroscopies after every failed transfer. So we have decided to do the investigations in the UK, and not at our clinic in Spain so that we get a more independent opinion.

@Sherr33 hold in there it’s still very early days and @Natty2 and myself felt our symptoms were very like our period for me I was so crampy day 4 and 5 and it felt nothing like how I thought it would x

congrats again @Natty2 yay for a second strong test- it was a lucky day 13!!!! x

@amkw apologies you’ve probably mentioned somewhere back in this thread- how long to transfer day? x

Anna531 · 14/06/2024 23:10

@Eljane34 I’m so so sorry to hear that. 💝

Faith2024 · 14/06/2024 23:33

@Serendipity24 that sounds like a really sensible plan. If you had one so recently I would definitely not be rushing to another one unless absolutely critical. Hopefully it’s nothing big after the scan.

Natty2 · 15/06/2024 07:46

@Faith2024 thank you
I'm sorry to hear yours has been pushed back but it sounds like you will be getting your body ready to be in the best position. Take care and good luck! 💛

Natty2 · 15/06/2024 07:47

@Anna531 how are you doing?
Is it your otd tomorrow?

GabbyGal · 15/06/2024 07:59

Hi all,

I’m late to the party so hope it’s ok if I join! Sorry to those who haven’t had success this round, but it’s so lovely and encouraging see the BFPs, congratulations to anyone celebrating a positive.

We did our first round of IVF back in October and only got one embryo which was transferred on day 3 but failed. Then did ICSI in February and got 5 embryos, all frozen as my TSH levels were high. Finally did a FET on Thursday. OTD is Monday week (24th) but I’ll probably test myself next weekend.

Absolutely kicking myself this morning because I forgot my crinone gel last night and only did it when I woke at 4.30am and remembered. I’m doing progesterone injections in the mornings too so hoping that’s enough to have kept progesterone levels up and I haven’t ruined our chances.

@Anna531 I have a scan on 21 June and I need to start testing for ovulation on that day too. I reckon my transfer will be around 28-29 June - give or take a few days!

Hope you’re feeling good!

Hi@natty yes OTD test day tomorrow. I’m keeping well, nothing feels very different so I’m not sure how to be about it all. I’m really excited but very nervous things go well. I’m going to test in the morning with FRER and a digital and then leave the results into my clinic in writing, then they aim to arrange a scan for about three weeks time- the waiting never ends.
how are you feeling? When’s OTD?

welcome @GabbyGal the TWW is painful but at least you have company here 😊

@amkw fast approaching!! I hope scan on 21st goes well and everything’s ready and awaiting a successful transfer 🤞🏽

Natty2 · 16/06/2024 07:13

@GabbyGal welcome! Hope you managed to have a distracting weekend for your tww! I think it's ok if you take the progesterone as soon as you remember so don't worry!

Natty2 · 16/06/2024 07:17

@Anna531 hope it's a nice line for you today!
I know what you mean about not feeling different. I'm a little tired and still getting cramping now and then but nothing too extreme yet, other than for the past week I've been waking up in the early hours and struggling to get back to sleep.

I'm going to take a digital tomorrow but my otd isn't until Tuesday so I will take their test then and call with the results and then I think it's 2 weeks until the first scan. So I'll join you continuing the anxious wait! X

Anna531 · 16/06/2024 09:41

Thanks @Natty2 it’s test day and I’m all out of FRERs because I can’t help myself so this is yesterday’s. I think the lines are darkening and it’s been a good morning- I feel so extremely grateful but not any way relieved.
I’m a great sleeper DP usually wakes me after my 4th alarm but I’ve been up at ridiculous o’clock all week.
the digital definitely make you feel a little better for a minute xx

I do worry if they’re dark enough we’re 12dp5dt tonight

Natty2 · 16/06/2024 11:34

@Anna531 it's good progression! Will you get a blood test?
I think I might pay for one for peace of mind, just to check the levels are ok.
I feel the same, so grateful but feel like getting the positive test has not reduced my anxiety. Now just living in constant fear that it's not real and probably will feel that way until there is a baby in our arms! Hope it works out well for us and others in this group 💛

GabbyGal · 16/06/2024 12:35

Thanks @Anna531 and @Natty2 and congrats on your BFPs!

Had some blood on the tissue this morning and freaked out a bit but it’s a lot lighter now so praying it’s implantation bleeding.

Sherr33 · 16/06/2024 21:11

I took another test today and it was negative so I'm definitely out. I had a cry about it today. Felt so sad this time around compared to fresh cycle. We will speak to our clinic once we have had our blood test and I'm going to want to give myself a break and try again towards end of year.

Anna531 · 16/06/2024 22:07

So sorry to hear that @Sherr33 and I hope you’re ok and can plan some time for you!
it is still early- 6dpt? But I know holding out hope helps some and just makes it worse for others. 💕💕💕

Natty2 · 17/06/2024 06:56

@Sherr33 I'm sorry, it's still really early days though yet. I read that hcg might not start getting produced until day 6 for some and then doubles every 2 days or so, so you may not be out yet.
Hope you are ok x

@Sherr33 So sorry. It’s just horrible, it really is.

Take a break, maybe go on a trip somewhere. Do something you enjoy and look after yourself. ❤️

@Sherr33 I don’t think I’d count yourself out just yet if you’re only 6dpt. Sending love xx
