FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

Well done @Anna531 !

Exciting that we’re on a similar timeline @amkw . Can’t wait to get going!

Anna531 · 04/06/2024 22:21

Hope this is a successful thread and everyone here gets their positive this month!!

Goodluck tomorrow @Natty2 I hope you get a great nights sleep and tomorrow’s the last time we’re planning FETs for a while xx

Natty2 · 05/06/2024 13:12

@Anna531 thank you! All went well here too and straight for McD's fries! Fingers crossed for us and everyone else's transfers to come 🤞🤞

Anna531 · 05/06/2024 13:19

Brilliant news @Natty2 so glad all went well- let the waiting and over analysing commence 😂❤️

Sherr33 · 05/06/2024 18:08

Hi all. Anyone on 3x cyclogest pessaries and would you know if we can insert them all at once or does it have to be spaced out? My fresh cycle had 2 pessaries which I did both on an evening
I don't know what to do about times if I spread them out like I can't do the exact time everyday. I'm so stressed out today and beyond tired 😫

Natty2 · 05/06/2024 18:24

@Sherr33 I've been recommended taking it in the morning, noon, and evening and trying to mix it up between rectal and vaginal when possible.
I think it's good to have the progesterone spread throughout the day

Anna531 · 05/06/2024 19:11

Hi @Sherr33 similar advice here. My Dr asked me to take it morning, afternoon and just before bed so it’s spread out across the day. But he said it didn’t have to be at exactly the same time everyday.
I do my morning one once I’m out of the shower, take the last one about 10pm just before bed and work out roughly what times the middle between the two each day and do my afternoon one then but it has varied depending on work commitments and meetings.

Sherr33 · 06/06/2024 12:10

@Anna531 @Natty2 thank you. Yesterday was just too much because of work and everything else I didn't take mine till 5pm and then I needed to use the loo and omg I was so done with everything at this point. But today I have flexibility working from home and I'm not stressing about exact times anymore.

Anna531 · 06/06/2024 13:49

@Sherr33 i have definitely been there- some days are straight forward and I feel like I’m absolutely winning and then a day at work just doesn’t go to plan and you’re stressing about everything inc when you can get 2 mins in the bathroom in private to stay on top of that 😂😂
I'm glad today’s more manageable 🥰

Hollielouise · 06/06/2024 16:35

Hi everyone. I hope it's ok to join ☺️

I had egg collection on the 22nd May and did a freeze all due to the number of eggs collected. I have just had my follow up consult and been told that we can do our FET on this withdrawal bleed instead of waiting another cycle - starting Progynova tomorrow! Wasn't really expecting it so slightly overwhelmed but I imagine transfer will be around the 21st June!

Anna531 · 06/06/2024 16:43

Welcome @Hollielouise fantastic news!!
I had a freeze all in January for the same reason and we’re only getting a chance to do our FET now so this is brilliant- I hope it’s the one!!

amkw · 06/06/2024 16:47

Hope everyone is doing OK!

Re: pessaries, I'm only going to take two but I think I will be taking them morning and evening - I'm not sure that the timings need to be exact so I wouldn't worry too much.

*Patiently waiting for my period to arrive...

@Hollielouise Welcome! How many embryo's did you freeze?

OP posts:
Hollielouise · 06/06/2024 16:59

Thank you @amkw ☺️ We froze 12 on day 5, all varying qualities. Fingers crossed we don't work our way through all of them! Is this your first transfer?

Thank you @Anna531. Wow, such a long wait for you, so glad you're able to get going this cycle. Did they want you to have multiple cycles before transfer? Really hope it's the one!

Sherr33 · 06/06/2024 16:59

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. Are any of you going to be testing early or will you be waiting for your OTD?

Natty2 · 06/06/2024 17:23

@Hollielouise welcome! That's great news that you can start already. I just had my first transfer yesterday after a freeze all in March and one in Jan. Great number of embryos too so wishing you lots of luck!

@amkw when is AF due to arrive?

@Sherr33 I'm not sure yet! I'll try and hold out as long as possible I think, but we'll see how that goes 😂

@Anna531 how have you been feeling post transfer?

Sherr33 · 06/06/2024 17:27

@Natty2 for my fresh I waited till OTD but I'm in two minds about this transfer. And I'm so confused about what to eat after transfer. I'm petrified of eating too much or too less of anything and ruining it. I know o hear how pineapples supposed to help and other things but I only have a few bites now just because I enjoy mixed fruit so some grapefruit pineapples etc n now I'm think what of none of these are agreeable with the embryo 😟

@Hollielouise That’s amazing! You’ve pretty much secured a baby there 🤞
This will be my 3rd transfer but my first from this cycle 🤞❤️

@Natty2 Saturday apparently according to the app!

@Sherr33 I’m probably going to do it the day before OTD - that’s what I done last time. The first time I actually didn’t test until OTD. I’m just too scared to do it any earlier. I will see how I feel though. I’m already nervous.

Im terms of what to eat I remember I had pineapple, raspberries… stuff like that and also lots of leafy greens like broccoli and cabbage. Oh and also Brazil nuts! You’re supposed to watch something funny too after transfer on transfer day… I watched Alan Carr stand up and Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s Murder Mystery!

Welcome @Hollielouise that’s great they’re able to get you started straight away! Did you end up with OHSS after the high volume of eggs? I remember your name from either the April or May IVF thread but I ducked out as I had nothing to update on (I WAS unfortunately made to wait a full cycle between EC and FET!!).

I’ll be starting progynova any day now (when my period starts) so on similar timeline to transfer as you.

Eljane34 · 07/06/2024 05:04

Hi all, I hope you don’t mind me joining, I recognise a few names from the ICSI February group! It’s been a slog of a journey… I’ve just had a frozen transfer and my OTD blood test is next Friday. Fresh round failed to implant, then I had two frozen, but it took 3 attempts to get my body right for transfer so have just had my first frozen transferred, all natural cycle, now on x2 cyclogest pessaries just to top it up.

Sherr33 · 07/06/2024 07:59

@Eljane34 how are you getting. I remember you from one of the many groups I've been watching and interacting in 😆

@amkw il need to get a thread going ti recommend what to watch during the two week wait 🤣

How is everyone doing today? Anyone else more exhausted on the progesterone I was going to attempt my first time using em vaginally but I chickened out. I have this fear that itl cause some sort of irritation and my transfer will get cancelled 🫤

@Sherr33 That’s an idea haha!

I haven’t started the pessaries yet but I can’t remember having any symptoms with them
last time!

I’m still waiting for my period to arrive. Never been so excited over something so irritating usually!

Haha that was me this cycle over the moon when it came and then wishing the bleed away because it for some reason I ended up bleeding longer than usual 😅 hopefully any day soon for you 🙏

I’ve just got rid of all social media. Another pregnancy announcement. Best for my sanity to not have social media until I’m
pregnant myself!

@Hollielouise no thankfully just one cycle, I developed OHSS and couldn’t continue with our fresh transfer. We had to wait to everything settled down and thankfully we’re NHS funded but that meant waiting for another slot to open up again and now we’re here 😊

@Natty2 i don’t know how I feel- one minute I think I feel something then later I don’t and I think I’m fooling myself so i really flip between being hopeful and dreading the outcome. How have you been?

I don’t know about testing, our test date isn’t until 16th June which will be 12dp5dt - I’m tempted to check on Monday when we’re 6dp5dt but DP wants to wait.
