FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

@Anna531 oh no the OHSS sounds like it can be really terrible it definitely sounds like it was the right decision letting your body recover. When did you have your collection? I was at risk of it as I had 19 eggs retrieved but didn’t get too bad thankfully!

Yes I found the ER really tough, definitely didn’t expect to be as sore as I was after, glad to not be doing it again this time.

Anna531 · 31/05/2024 22:22

@Capybara95 our collection was at the end of January so it’s taken some time to get back to this point so fingers crossed.
it was a rough week but my Drs were great and it’s like anything- terrible at the time but you forget it. I would do it again if needs be but we have a good number of eggs so hopefully there’ll be no need.
Did you do a fresh transfer? Xx

Capybara95 · 31/05/2024 23:00

@Anna531 the waiting is horrible but hopefully it will all be worth it soon. That’s great you got a good number frozen! Yes we did a fresh transfer which was unfortunately unsuccessful so fingers crossed this will be the one.

amkw · 01/06/2024 08:33

@Anna531 good luck for next week! How many frozen do you have?

Anna531 · 01/06/2024 14:50

Thanks @amkw we have 13 frozen which is fantastic but we don’t test here so I don’t know if they all have potential so to speak. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed!!

Did you find out anymore about taking progesterone?

@Anna531 That’s amazing!! You will definitely have a baby from that amount!

Yes, the dose I would be taking (2x pessaries a day) wouldn’t hinder anything or necessarily help either. Im taking them though as every little helps I think and my clinic doesn’t test progesterone so although my periods are regular and I ovulate who actually knows!

@amkw it just feels good to have a plan and like you’re doing something and I’ve read lots that progesterone helps so fingers crossed for your transfer xx

How's everyone doing?
@Anna531 exciting times tomorrow! How are you feeling?

I'm getting excited but also abit anxious ahead of Wednesday. How have you been getting on with the pessaries?

@amkw I'm on a natural cycle and been taking cyclogest 3 times a day. They said it's helpful to have extra luteal support if I wanted it.

Anna531 · 03/06/2024 19:00

Hi@Natty2 the weekend was fine, felt like it was still ages away and now I’m starting to get nervous and really excited.
I'm working tomorrow and then have to call the clinic at 5pm and get a time for transfer tomorrow evening which will help put the day in. I’m just trying to not stress. 🤞🏽
Do you have a time for Wednesday?

The pessaries have been fine, a liner is needed at all times …my partner jokes about the glamour of it all 😂 but he’s been great! How have you found them?

Sherr33 · 03/06/2024 20:06

Hi everyone.
Please can you all update me on where you at as I havent kept up with messages for past few days. I went away on holiday and honestly was the best decision I made. After transfer was pushed forward it made me feel like it was definitely a divine intervention. I did have two nights where my chest was plating up again but I think its due to medication. My stomach is so badly bruised and painful on the side I'm injecting my blood thinners and buserilin.

I went for my scan to check lining and everything looked 👌 so I stop buserilin on Wednesday and start with 3x cyclogest pessaries and 1x lubion alongside my blood thinner injection and the estrogen tablets. Transfer next week and pregnancy blood test 20th of June.

Any positives on this thread? Please tell me what you did post transfer. I'm hopefully going to take it easy first day two and then get back and try walk atleast half hour each day although right now I just want to be back sunbathing and siping on my mocktails haha. Did have a cheeky drink or 2 but took it easy as didn't want any horrible interactions. Alcohol and meds etc etc

I hope this is it for all of us. Anyone else transferring next week?

Sierra26 · 03/06/2024 21:21

@Sherr33 aw glad to hear the holiday was a good idea! We’re going to plan one for next month after our test date. Haven’t been off since Christmas so I’m dying for a break from work and everything else! And great to hear your scan went well - transfer next week is exciting!

I think I’m still about 3 weeks away from transfer. Period due this weekend which is when I’ll start my meds (progynova and ganirelix until lining scan).

Capybara95 · 04/06/2024 09:12

@Anna531 good luck for today! How exciting!!

@Sherr33 thats exciting your transfer is coming up too! I think im going to try and stay in routine after my transfer but make sure i get plenty of walks in too, so hard to know what is the best thing to do.

I am still waiting on my consultant signing off my thyroid blood test to get my consents started. Been checking the portal 100 times a day hopefully he will do it soon. Would really love to be able to transfer with my next cycle but I’ll have to see what happens. Everything moved really quickly from here last time so just hoping it will be the same again

Honestly after what we put ourselves through it's needed. I was adamant I wanted a holiday before transfer just so when I'm back il be in that zen and happy mood. Might help the embryo stick. Currently sipping on ice decaf latte 😋 il stop them by weekend as don't want to have anything cold this time around.

Eeek not far then. Good luck with the meds.

Yesss...to he honestly because of the medication I'm usually so drained I can't be doing much but this time il push myself for the walks at least.
I knowww..I'm hoping there's a few more joining me next week for transfer and TWW

@Sierra26 Ahh, i should be having my transfer in about 3 weeks time too, give or take a few days!

@Sherr33 So glad you had a holiday, it really is needed!

I am having a natural frozen transfer - I'm due on my period this weekend and we will go from there. In my head I've got a transfer date sometime the w/c 24 June.

@amkw I put off so much last year thinking I'd be starting my cycle anytime but ended up being the start of this year and in a way I wish I had just gone and done things rather than sit and wait. So this time I thought forget pushing things back and just go for it.

I'm glad things will be moving forward for you soon too 🙏 ✨️

Bec18x · 04/06/2024 15:08

Hi, hope it's ok to join.
I previously had a fresh transfer in January 2022 which resulted in my son and we have 6 frozen embryos remaining.
This time I've had some problems with my thyroid and lining so had a biopsy and started levothyroxine and now everything is good and ready to go.
I stopped norithisterone on Sunday so just waiting for CD1 to book my baseline scan.
Transfer should be end of June!

Good luck to you all! 🤞🏻

@Sherr33 I know the feeling! I've put so much off for about 2 years now. I can't wait to have my baby in my arms and to start fully enjoying life again without some dark cloud hanging over!

@Bec18x Welcome - you will be in good company the end of June, i think there's a few of us.

Welcome @Bec18x

Thanks ladies- leaving any minute, FET planned for 7pm.
i can’t believe it’s finally here. A mix of nerves and excitement!!!

@Anna531 hope your transfer has gone well! Mine is 12pm tomorrow

Haha yeah the pessaries are not the most glamorous. Nurse said to try and alternate when possible but vaginally at night to avoid mess in the day!

Hope you have some nice post transfer plans?

@Sherr33 glad to hear you managed to get away. We had planned a hol for a few weeks ago but it ended up clashing with our check up scans. It does feel like life is constantly on hold so glad you made the most of it. Good luck next week!

Natty2 · 04/06/2024 17:58

Must have been typing as you updated @Anna531
Good luck!!

Sherr33 · 04/06/2024 18:01

@Anna531 good luck..super excited for you

Anna531 · 04/06/2024 21:05

Thank you all!!!!!!! So so much.

we arrived at 6.45pm and were back in the car at 7.15pm super straight forward and now the wait begins!
no big plans tonight, we went to McDs for fries, came home and got comfy, slipper socks on to keep the feet warm and stew in the slow cooker all day for dinner to warm me right up. All old wives tales I’m sure but willing to try everything! Xx
