FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

Thank you so much for the kind words 💖. Line progression is there but I just don't feel excited yet. Blood test is next week so fingers crossed for some reassurance then.

@Anna531 congratulations on scan one! I hope you're not in too much pain - what did you feel? When is the next scan for heartbeat? Xx

@Capybara95 I've never had the nasal spray but I did avoid all alcohol from the start of stims. Can you find alcohol free alternatives in similar glasses and be a bit sneaky if you're feeling you're being watched?

@Sierra26 I hope your lining scan goes well tomorrow🤞🏼

@lemonyfox How are you feeling post transfer? Hope you're ok x

Capybara95 · 01/07/2024 07:22

@Hollielouise yes I was the same for the stims didn’t drink at all I just didn’t know if it wouldn’t matter for the FET since the embryo is already made but you’re right I will see if the venues have alcohol free alternatives and see if I can get away with that. Don’t want anything ruining my chances!

and congratulations on your positive tests!! The progression in the lines looks great!

Sierra26 · 01/07/2024 07:33

@Hollielouise eeek that looks good! Congratulations ❤️

Will update after my lining scan tomos, if I’m not ready I’m expecting them to say they need to cancel as I’m already CD21 and it’ll probably be too late. Im going to try and ask more questions too about my protocol and dosage. If there has to be a next time I’d hope I can do natural with a trigger to avoid this issue.

Because im nhs funded I never actually get to speak to a doctor, all my consults are with a nurse who is passing on the doctors comments/plans. So any questions I have are answered very hypothetically, or they deflect from them, or they have to go ask the doctor which takes ages and doesn’t really allow a proper conversation to taken place.

lemonyfox · 01/07/2024 08:43

@Sierra26 oh I'm so sorry, how frustrating. It's mad they won't just let your lining build up further, you're on meds suppressing your cycle anyway so what's an exultant few days? Hopefully there's still luck for you.

@Hollielouise thanks for asking! I'm feeling okay, cramping but then again I've been cramping since starting cyclogest really. I've done a test this morning though at 4dp5dt and I can see the start of a faint positive 😭😭 I haven't even told my husband, I'm telling you lot first lol.

It's hard to pick up on camera but can you see it too?

Sierra26 · 01/07/2024 10:57

@lemonyfox i can see something…! Keeping everything crossed for you!

and thanks - exactly my point that if it’s all medicated then what does cycle length matter as we’re not relying on natural hormones and control it with progesterone. Who knows!

hja62 · 01/07/2024 11:10

@Capybara95 I wasn’t in the nasal spray specifically but I didn’t avoid alcohol during stims. Obviously I didn’t go mad but I didn’t deny myself the odd glass of wine. I’d been through so many failures and done everything by the book that I’ve come to the conclusion it makes no difference.

@Hollielouise that is lovely line progression 🙏🏻🙏🏻 fingers crossed for your beta 🤞🏻

@Anna531 how are you today? I’m so sorry to hear you had some pains. It’s such a worry. But at least everything looked as it should be on the scan. Are you back this Thursday for another scan?

@Sierra26 that is so frustrating, especially when the communication is all with the nurses. I really hope it goes ahead 🙏🏻

@lemonyfox I definitely see that! The cheapies are really hard to see early positives. Have you got a clear blue or first response? I bet if you took one it would be much more visible....

lemonyfox · 01/07/2024 11:24

Thanks ladies! I've taken a FRER and I can see a slight line in person, but very faint. I can't get it on photo though because of the plastic screen in front!! Gaaahhh. Serves me right for testing so early, I'll try again tomorrow

Anna531 · 01/07/2024 18:04

Thanks @Natty2 and @Hollielouise i had pains in my lower right tummy and through my lower right back. I had kidney stones before and was worried it could be the bubba or that- got the all clear and they asked me to come back the next day for a quick early maternity check. We saw the gestational sac but that was all really. Gave us some relief.
we’re back in this Thursday and then next Friday so hopefully we’ll see more xx

Anna531 · 01/07/2024 18:08

@Hollielouise thats brilliant line progression!!!

@Sierra26 hopefully you can get some answers and all goes well!!

@lemonyfox eeekkk I can absolutely see that! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

thanks @hja62 how are you feeling?

hja62 · 01/07/2024 19:29

@Anna531 at least only a couple more days to wait. How far will you be on Thursday?

I'm doing ok thanks, ups and downs physically and emotionally. Some noticeable nausea, boobs very sore, extremely tired. I've come down with a (very mild) head cold so feeling a bit groggy with that too. Convince myself multiple times a day I'm going to lose this baby despite all indications being super positive so far so struggling with anxiety and worry! Scan on Thursday 11th can't come quick enough...I'll be exactly 7weeks.

Anna531 · 01/07/2024 20:07

@hja62 I thought about 6w1d at my scan but the nurse saidbetween 5 and 6 weeks. I was going by a not so reliable app 😂 so hopefully 6-7 this week and 7-8 at next weeks scan.

Poor you, a cold on top of everything is just great isn’t it.
it’s my first success but I imagine it never gets easier, probably worse for people who have had loss before. But this one’s a little sticker for you 🤞🏽🤞🏽and I hope all goes entirely uneventfully for you!! 7 weeks will be great, hopefully enough to see to put your mind at ease a little xx

hja62 · 01/07/2024 20:17

@Anna531 oh fingers crossed they see a heartbeat on Thursday 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yeah to be honest I didn't expect it to be as hard as it has been to be honest after the losses. I already said to my husband I don't know could I ever go through this torture again....it's not the IVF, it's the being pregnant that scares me, it's just so precious and so many people take it for granted 😢😢

Hollielouise · 02/07/2024 10:51

@lemonyfox how are you feeling today? Have you re-tested? I found FRER and Boots Early Result to be the darkest so far. It's such a rollercoaster with early testing! I have my Beta booked for Monday afternoon 🤞🏼

lemonyfox · 02/07/2024 10:56

@Hollielouise good luck for Monday!

Today's test is definitely darker, still fair though, I'm saving my remaining frer for tomorrow I think.

I've always found these One Step ones off Amazon to be really good, they picked up my HCG levels with my last ectopic when they were only 7 (confirmed same day with a blood test).

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

That is undeniable today @lemonyfox !

Hollielouise · 02/07/2024 11:14

@lemonyfox definitely clear today!! Congratulations 🥳 💖👏🏼

Sorry to hear of your eptopic. Did you have symptoms or just seen on the scan?

Whoops pressed post way too early

Thanks @Sierra26!

@Hollielouise I've had 3 ectopics now, lost both tubes. Each one was different really but never had any symptoms. My second ectopic ruptured and I hadn't known I was pregnant as my periods continued. So after that one, I always tested a week after my period ended just in case and that's how I picked up my third ectopic and why the HCG was so low

Sierra26 · 02/07/2024 11:47

10mm in todays lining scan, the patches did their job! Booked in for ET Tues 9th.

New worry unlocked - can your lining get too thick? Mine grew 2mm in 4 days on this increased dose

Natty2 · 02/07/2024 12:55

@lemonyfox great to see your line progression! Congrats 💓

@Hollielouise pleased to hear you're progressing well too!

@Sierra26 great news!! I'm not sure about lining being too thick but I guess the clinic would have said if not ok? Best of luck!!

@Anna531 did the clinic say why they're doing another scan next week? Let us know how you go on Thursday. I'm so anxious for mine! Feel like my symptoms have been coming and going and not massively strong so that's making me nervous

Always28 · 02/07/2024 15:17

Hi all,

I posted on here a while ago but then got a bit anxious so have been reading but not posting! It’s really lovely to see so many BFPs on here, and reading everyone’s stories has made me feel much less alone.

I had my second FET on Thursday, so today I’m 5dpt. I had a euploid 5 day blast put back.

Last cycle was a BFN and I waited until my OTD to test. This time someone gave me some cheap pregnancy tests so I have just done a sneaky test this afternoon as I thought, if it’s negative, I’ll still have hope as it’s early! And if it’s positive, I can feel a little bit more hopeful for OTD.

I can see a very faint second line but I’ve never used the cheap tests before and I’m wondering how strong a line needs to be to count as a line! I’ve taken a photo although it’s hard to make out, but just wondered if anyone could tell me if it’s likely to be a genuine line?

Great news on your lining. I suspect if your lining is a good thickness now, it won’t get too thick before transfer. I think if it was going to get too thick, that would have happened in the oestrogen phase. Some peoples lining even compacts a little after they start taking progesterone (which is apparently good too!), so I think you’ll be absolutely fine. Call your clinic for reassurance if you need to though. Good luck for your transfer. How many are you having transferred?

Hi @Always28 👋🏼 Glad you're feeling more positive. I would say that is definitely not a faint line for those tests! I've used them before and would say that's quite a good result! Do you have any FRER or more sensitive ones? Or just wait 48h and check again! Looks like a great result though 🥳

Always28 · 02/07/2024 15:53

@Hollielouise thank you, that’s really reassuring. I don’t have any other tests at the moment as I wasn’t buying any so I wouldn’t be tempted to test early 🤣. It’s only because someone gave me these tests that I got carried away! I’ll have a think and decide whether to either test again in a couple of days, buy a more sensitive test, or just wait.
