FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

@Anna531 thanks for explaining! It sounds like I will be on a similar plan to you then. I’m not sure if that’s medicated or not, is it? It’s just the plan that was uploaded to my portal so I feel very clueless about it atm as haven’t had my nursing appointment yet I assume they’ll explain a bit more then!

Capybara95 · 23/06/2024 21:40

@Anna531 also did you get any side effects of the nasal spray or tablets?

Anna531 · 24/06/2024 05:30

@Capybara95 yes sounds like fully medicated which is what I did and it was fine- I have PCOS so I felt better knowing they were controlling my hormone levels, ensuring everything was at the right levels for our little embryo.
the spray I got on fine with, no real symptoms. The progynova was fine initially but when I built up to 4 per day it made me really nausea so I split them up 2xmorning, 2xlunch and they’ve been grand since Xx

Capybara95 · 24/06/2024 07:26

@Anna531 thank you so much for explaining! We are male factor so I expected the FET to be natural but I suppose it works best for the clinic to be able to time everything and obviously I just want to do whatever has best chance of success anyway!

thanks for the tip on splitting them, will ask my clinic about that if they’re making me nauseous too!

I’ve just read back and seen that you got your BPF, congratulations!! How exciting!! Was this your first FET?

amkw · 24/06/2024 07:51

@Hollielouise Good luck for today!!

@Natty2 I haven’t had my surge this morning. I think it will be tomorrow. They told me to only test once with my FMU. I’ve been making sure not to have a wee in the middle of the night and saving it for the morning haha.

@lemonyfox Oh, I know the feeling. My friend had a baby in December and sent me the picture when she was born and I remember breaking down crying and screaming at my partner. It’s hard because you’ve got to be happy for others but the reality is you’re not really that happy! Then you’ve got to go shopping for baby clothes as their gift. It’s torture really!

Hi all! I joined in right at the beginning of the thread and then went completely awol! I had a natural cycle and had my 5dt on Saturday 15th June. Felt really good about it and all went well. Then from about 5dp5dt onwards I have been torturing myself with pregnancy tests at home, which have been negative (bar a couple of very very faint squinters). Spent yesterday crying after I tested in the afternoon and it was stark white. I wasn't even going to take my progesterone or attend my OTD beta today. DH convinced me to though, and I got my results an hour or so ago (we're in a different time zone to the UK!). HCG of 220 so very positive. I'm in absolute shock. Having spent all weekend googling '8dp5dt BFN hope' I can't believe it! Still not totally convinced to be honest, and I'll be having a second beta in 2 days time to confirm. I've had absolutely zero symptoms bar slightly sore boobs, and a very strong feeling that my period is about to start! Honestly, the emotional rollercoaster has made me exhausted. This infertility lark is not for the weak - well done and good luck to all x

Anna531 · 24/06/2024 10:40

@chillipopcorn1 thats fantastic news!! Congratulations!!!!!

@Capybara95 thank you! Yes this was our first transfer so we’re over the moon. I don’t really feel any different tbh, maybe a little more tired in the later part of the day and the odd headache here and there. We have our first scan next Thursday so I’m hoping that’ll go well and put my anxiety at ease for a while. I hope this is a lucky one for you!! The medicated was great for planning, I knew when everything was happening and didn’t have to worry about triggers and positives. Xx

Capybara95 · 24/06/2024 11:26

@Anna531 oh that is so great to hear! Good luck for your scan hope all goes well!

thank you!! This will be our second transfer but first frozen. I think I may have had mild OHSS during our fresh cycle so I’m hoping now that my body will be back to normal it will help, fingers crossed!

Sierra26 · 24/06/2024 15:47

Scan today - lining only grew 0.1mm since fri so I’ve got to up Progynova dose and go back again this fri. serves me right for boasting about my lining a while back 😂😭

Fortunately the ganirelix has stopped my follicles growing so I can stop worrying about that.

amkw · 24/06/2024 17:10

@chillipopcorn1 ahhh, great news. Fingers crossed for your blood results 🤞

@Sierra26 Glad your follicles have stopped growing. If you’re still on for Tuesday I could be joining you I think!

@chillipopcorn1 congratulations!!! This journey is such a rollercoaster....but it's amazing when it's expected happy news!!

@Hollielouise let us know how you got on today!

@Sierra26 it's just so unpredictable....!! You're worrying about one thing and something else comes from left field that you weren't expecting like your lining. But look, it's not going as planned but it's still going in the right direction.

My first beta came back today 1,451 (13dp5dt) 💕 so so grateful. Back up again on Wednesday for a repeat, even though it's a strong number, I just want the reassurance to see it doubling. First scan booked for 11 July 🙏🏻

lemonyfox · 24/06/2024 20:29

@Capybara95 some tips for synarel because I HATED being on that stuff:

  • Breathe in through your nose gently when you spray, don't sniff it up, otherwise it goes to the back of your throat and it tastes vile!
  • A hot drink after synarel really helped get the taste out for me
  • I got awful headaches on it and a lot of people do, don't take ibuprofen as it interferes with the spray, paracetamol only
Capybara95 · 24/06/2024 21:24

@lemonyfox thank you for the tips!! I think I’m on it for a month so hoping my symptoms aren’t too bad 🤞🏼

Hollielouise · 25/06/2024 13:24

Thanks so much for all the messages 🥰 Transfer went well yesterday and we have a 4AA on board. Obviously convinced myself it's already fallen out or failed... 😂🫠 I feel absolutely fine.

Has anyone been on Cyclogest and Prontogest? My clinic do a progesterone blood test on day of transfer and if it's below 50 you double up so I start that today.

@hja62 Amazing beta number. Congratulations! Hope you have found some peace and are feeling good 💕

@Sierra26 Hope the increased dose works for your lining and you're ready to go soon.

@amkw did you get your surge today? Hope it's all going well x

amkw · 25/06/2024 13:48

@Hollielouise Argh, so exciting! Fingers crossed your lovely 4AA sticks! Try and relax….easier said than done but do try haha.❤️

No surge yet for me. Surely it should be tomorrow?!

@hja62 congratulations! ❤️

Hope you are getting on ok @Hollielouise !

How's everyone else doing, what cycle day are you on now @amkw

amkw · 26/06/2024 14:34

@Natty2 CD15 I’m on and no surge again today. Hope it’s tomorrow! Argh!

Hope you’re ok! When’s your scan?

lemonyfox · 26/06/2024 18:34

Eeeek it's my transfer day tomorrow with our 5AA! 🤞🏻

hja62 · 26/06/2024 19:42

@lemonyfox best of luck 💕💕 I hope all goes well for you!!

@amkw that is so frustrating. Is it usually late or irregular?

I got my repeat beta today (15dp5dt), came back 3,523 so more than doubled in 48 hours thank god 🙏🏻 I'm starting to relax a little more now, but still nervous for the scan.

amkw · 26/06/2024 19:50

edit:posted same thing twice!

@lemonyfox Good luck for tomorrow! 🤞

@hja62 Yay for your blood results! That’s so reassuring!

My surge is usually regular - fingers crossed I get it tomorrow if not I will start worrying. It’s just a constant waiting game. When I had my scan on Friday she said I hadn’t ovulated yet so I can’t have missed it as I’ve tested every day since Friday.

Hollielouise · 26/06/2024 20:06

@lemonyfox Good luck for tomorrow! 💖

@hja62 Incredible - so happy for you to have that reassurance!

@Natty2 Thank you. 2dp5dt and time is going sooo slowly. Had a few cramps today but most likely the extortionate amounts of progesterone!

Natty2 · 26/06/2024 20:15

@lemonyfox best of luck for tomorrow!

@amkw fingers crossed for you too, i had my surge on cd16 so i hope it happens for you tomorrow!

@hja62 great news on bloods! I'm slightly regretting not paying to get bloods done although the clinic assured me it wasn't necessary. I did get 3+ on the digital yesterday though so just hoping all is ok until scan next week!

Anna531 · 26/06/2024 20:45

Good luck tomorrow @lemonyfox !!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

amkw · 27/06/2024 06:58

My surge has arrived this morning!

6 days from now will be my transfer (I think) so it will most likely be Wednesday 3rd July. I will confirm with them today.
