Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

@Sierra26 I’m getting my weeks mixed up!! I thought you were the 2nd July I don’t know where I got that you’d be a week after me!

I’m feeling really emotional this time round. Crying and being snappy.

@Sierra26 no I'm doing completely medicated, no trigger, just estrogen and progesterone and the transfer on CD20. I have wonky cycles/irregular ovulation, even though I do generally ovulate each cycle, but when they gave me the choice of medicated/natural I just didn't want to deal with the stress of timing ovulation. I have long cycles too, usually 36-39 days, and a short luteal phase. With medicated I prefer the control of it and actually shortens the time I'd be waiting so it seemed the best choice to make.

Sorry to read your ovaries aren't playing the game this month, how frustrating, but 2nd July isn't far away! I'll only be a few days ahead of you so it'll be nice to be sort of in sync again like we were for EC!

@amkw are you on estrogen atm? Because it's made me have awful mood swings whilst I've been on it, really short tempered and all over the place

@lemonyfox ah interesting! So the estrogen alone stops ovulation - I’ve just discovered from dr google. I’m also doing fully medicated with estrogen but also ganirelix so who knows why my ovaries have kicked in rather than taking their prescribed nap.

@amkw the emotions suck don’t they :( I’ve been feeling quite sorry for myself too. Hope you have something nice planned for the weekend?

@Sierra26 huh interesting I have no idea either, I thought by you saying trigger it was something to do with timed natural ovulation. I guess there's so many different protocols and drugs everyone's is slightly different!

Please try not to worry about your lining being just over 8mm. My clinic has a minimum of 7mm ...always find it interesting when different clinics have different standards.

Our successful transfer with DD my lining was only 7.2mm before trigger (I did fully medicated). For this cycle that is (so far 🤞🏻) successful my lining was only 7.4mm before trigger.

I know what it's like to worry about every little detail and nuance of the process, but please know it is entirely possibly for a successful transfer with a lining well below 8mm xx

I hope everyone's doing ok and holding up through their treatment journeys.

I'm currently 8dp5dt and trying to not lose my head during the TTW.. the days are looong. I ordered some pregnancy tests from amazon... then cancelled the order... im so close to testing early 🙃 but trying to hold out til test day.

This is our second FET (fully medicated). We had a freeze all after egg collection due to OHSS. The first FET was in August 2021, and it gave us our little girl ❤️

I've been feeling a whole mix of emotions going through it all again. Everyones journeys will be different, but it's good to know there are others out there who can understand x

@lemonyfox Emotions are half the battle aren’t they!? I’m not on anything as I’m doing a natural FET so I don’t have as good as an excuse as you to be snappy! 🤣

Ahh bless you. I think it's fear of bad news that's stopping me to be honest. Last time i tested on day 12 as I'd had a lot of pain during the night before, so was sure that it hadn't worked. We've made it through another day though!
OTD is Thursday 27th 😬🫣.

@Millie029 will you wait until your beta or do a home test beforehand?? It's amazing how symptoms can vary so much and you convince yourself it has or hasn't worked!!

I'm doing ok, tomorrow is my OTD (12dp5dt) but I've had a faint positive since afternoon of 4dp5dt. I'm currently obsessively watching my line progression as we've had 2 miscarriages and a chemical in the last 18 months so feeling a little on edge. I'm driving myself insane, but I'd probably be going more insane not testing 😂 I go for my beta on Monday and repeat on Wednesday so hoping that'll give me some reassurance 🤞🏻

Catching up on these, how is everyone doing?

No not long now, 4 days. Started lubion and cyclogest yesterday and all good so far.

I had a little cry to my husband this afternoon though. My best friend has just had a baby girl and we've spent the afternoon with them both. I'm trying to be realistic and stoic and not expect our first transfer to work, but fuck me I can't wait to be passed all this IVF stuff and be in her position. I'm so sick and tired about thinking about conceiving. It's not even jealousy, it's just weird bittersweet sadness.

I'm sure people on this thread will know what I mean. Feel very weird and flat today.

@lemonyfox Thats lovely for your friend but I 100% hear you. It amazes me how quickly my moods can swing from positive to really really low. And like you say it’s not even always jealousy. It’s like having spent years waiting for your favourite thing to come back in to stock - and the shop to keep telling you “be patient, we’ll have it next month!” Or “if you just walk to the next shop they’ll have it”. But of course they don’t and you ask again and get told to be patient again. Any normal person wouldn’t tolerate it and would go mad. But when it’s fertility we can’t go mad because it would probably be held against us 😂 so we have to accept it. Inside it’s driving me absolutely mental. Part of me just wants to know if it’s ever going to happen so, if it’s not, I can get on with grieving the loss of the future I’d always pictured and start planning a different one.

Had a similar convo with DH today and he reminded me we’re still only really at the start of this part of our journey. It felt good to talk about it but still felt a bit like another ‘be patient’ 🤪

Thanks for all the advice girls - my transfer is tomorrow morning and have got the pineapple, Brazil nuts and socks ready to go 😅. Already wondering how early I can realistically test?!

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been dipping in and out of this thread but I have been trying to keep up. Good luck to everyone in the 2ww and good luck for tomorrow @Hollielouise !!

I was wondering if you could give me some advise on my treatment plan. It was uploaded to my portal last week saying I am to start Synarel (Nafarelin) Nasel Spray on the 8th July and take it until 12th August (I have a scan this day Andy period will be due the next day) from then I have progynova and then my transfer is booked for the 19th. I know the appointment can change with how the scan goes etc but surely it wouldn’t be right to have my transfer on day 7 of my cycle would it? Or would the nasal spray stop my period and that won’t be where I am in my cycle at all?!

I do have an appointment at the hospital for screening bloods and to collect my medication etc before then But I am just very confused about the plan atm!!

@amkw fingers crossed! I ended up using the easy@home strips in the end alongside the clear blue digital, which helped me see the progression abit better. I ended up taking one at 5am and could see it was close then got a smiley face at 8am!

I'm doing ok thank you, still not feeling any major symptoms but have felt quite exhausted today. Hoping I should be 5+2 today

@hja62 good luck for tomorrow! My scan isn't until following Thursday so the anxiety continues 😅

@lemonyfox ah I completely understand. It's really hard. I've felt like that for a long time now. Feels like we've passed so many others full pregnancies, births, first and even second birthdays! It's tiring always thinking about infertility.
Tbh even finally getting our firdt bfp the other week has not reduced the anxiety.

@lemonyfox I completely understand your feelings, as I'm sure does everyone else here. I don't feel jealousy when friends and family have babies, just a real sadness and heaviness in my heart that it's not me. But all we can do it take it one day at a time, stay as strong as we can and trust that our time will come xx

Hi ladies, hope you’re all keeping well!!! I’ve come to bed with another headache but other than that I’ve very little to report.

@Capybara95 i took the synarel spray, the nurse explained its function is to turn everything off and control your cycle. I started the progynova a few days before stopping the spray I think and gradually increased that and later introduced cyclogest pessaries so sounds like you’re all good and won’t be approaching your period at all. Are you doing a medicated cycle?
