FET June 2024

Hi,

Is anyone else planning on a FET in June? ☺️

I had my second cycle of ICSI in April and now have 8 frozen embryos.

I didn’t have a fresh transfer in April as there was some fluid left in my endometrium from ivf medication. I thought it best to wait till June so by then my body will be fully recovered.

🤞

@Sherr33 I’m sorry :( as others have said, it’s still early but I don’t blame you for feeling this way. Take it easy! Xxx

i have my first lining scan on Thurs. Only a week in to my cycle and it’s been the longest ever. I’m so sick of being patient and grown up! I just want to have a tantrum

amkw · 17/06/2024 15:24

@Sierra26 I have my scan on friday...hopefully my lining is where it needs to be. This process really does test your patience, I agree.

I've just had some acupuncture. Has anyone else done this? I didn't with my fresh, but did with my last FET and i'm doing it with this FET also.

@amkw I did think about accupuncture but never got around to making an appointment. Hopefully it works for you.. did it hurt? I am doing the watermelon, beetroot and ginger juice every day which is meant to support implantation. I say juice, mine is more of a smoothie because I don’t have a juicer. I make it with pomegranate juice, doesn’t taste as bad as it sounds!

Sherr33 · 17/06/2024 16:35

Thank you all for your supportive messages. @Natty2 @Anna531 @GabbyGal

Good luck @Sierra26 @amkw hopefully everything is on track for you

@GabbyGal It doesn’t hurt but it’s weird…it’s hard to explain!

I am drinking beetroot juice too… it’s horrible! I’m forcing it down me though as it’s really good for you in general and for fertility.

@amkw I did acupuncture during my second round of ICSI and then in the lead up to FET and during, including about 3-4 hours post transfer.
Not sure if it helped but I was ready to do anything!
I also had lots of pomegranate juice and beetroot to help with the lining!

Natty2 · 17/06/2024 18:16

Sent to soon, good luck with the lining scan both @amkw @Sierra26!

Hollielouise · 17/06/2024 19:48

@amkw I'm also doing acupuncture for this FET cycle. I can't say I enjoy it but it definitely makes a difference. I had my first lining scan last Friday and it was already 8.4mm triple which was great but I'd only been on Progynova for 6 days so they kept me going on and are scanning again tomorrow before starting progesterone 🫠 So exhausting waiting...

@Sierra26 Good luck for Thursday's scan. Is that your first one? I'm booked for transfer on Monday 24th June 😬

Hollielouise · 17/06/2024 19:48

Oh and Maca Powder for the lining does great things @amkw 🙌🏼

@Natty2 Was that actually 3-4 hours doing acupuncture or 3-4 after FET?
Mine are only about 40 mins each time.

@Hollielouise I agree, it's not something I enjoy but it is what it is! I'm having a session directly before transfer and then another directly after. It's an opportunity to relax at least! Then it will be straight to Maccies for fries!

@amkw sorry yes 3-4 hours after! Only a 45 min session!

Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me joining this thread a bit late.

We transferred a euploid blast last Tuesday 11th. We've had a rough 18 months. We are trying for a sibling for DD who was born after our second embryo transfer. This is our 5th transfer since having her. In the last 18 months, we had a chemical, a double transfer that failed, a miscarriage at 7 weeks and a surprise pregnancy that ended in MMC at 8 weeks.

I have been lurking on this thread for the last week or so. I got my BFP on Saturday at 4dp5dt (very very faint). The lines continued but were faint on Sunday and Monday with no progression. I cried myself to sleep last night thinking it was all over and another chemical. Then this morning I did another test and to my shock the test line came up as dark as the control line.

I don't intend this to be a trigger for anyone. I just want to share as I'm really struggling to be excited....I'm absolutely petrified. I keep telling myself it's going to be another chemical/miscarriage. My beta isn't until next Monday. I guess I just wanted to join for a bit of support over the next few weeks.

I hope you are all ok on this journey.

Xx

Welcome! Sounds like you’ve had your fair share! Fingers crossed 🤞 that your line keeps getting stronger.

I think we all worry about having a chemical, I know that’s what I’m going to be worrying about if I do get a positive this transfer but got to trust the system and believe that this is your time!

@amkw thank you so much for your kind words Flowers

When are you scheduled for your transfer?

@hja62 If I ovulate according to the app I think I will be getting a transfer around 28-29 June! 29 June is my partners birthday 🤣

Welcome @hja62 thats amazing news!!!!!! I’m so glad this morning was good and strong and I’m very sorry to hear the rough time you’ve had lately!!! I can’t imagine!!
And it must be difficult to let yourself get excited but I think we have to allow ourselves to hope and feel the good stuff- god knows it can change in a heartbeat but it’s all worry and lows if we don’t. Easier said than done I know!! Fantastic news!!

I tried acupuncture a while back but my cycle was cancelled and I never got back into it. Lots of people swear by it.

how is everyone? Are there any appointments this week? Xx

Sierra26 · 18/06/2024 19:02

Can anyone relate… I’m now CD8, so 8th day of progynova and I’m getting loads of EWCM! Assume it’s the estrogen and hoping it’s a good signal for my lining prep. I’m on ganirelix so defs not due to ovulation! Counting down the hours until my first scan on Thurs.

Amazing @hja62 , thanks for sharing. Keep us posted on progression!

Hollielouise · 18/06/2024 19:54

Welcome @hja62 It sounds like such a tough journey. Keep updating us on progress 💕

@Sierra26 - have had SO much EWCM - I've had two tracking scans now and lining is over 8mm and triple so I'd say it's a good sign of the rising oestrogen for sure. Not long until your scan now!

@amkw I definitely need to book more sessions in. Is there a recommendation on close before/after transfer it should be?

My transfer is on Monday morning - first one I've had - any tips and advice appreciated 🥰💓

Natty2 · 18/06/2024 20:53

@hja62 welcome and amazing news! Got everything crossed for you that it keeps progressing into a stronger line. When is your otd?
I'm sorry you've had such a rough time to get to this point.
Keep us posted on your bloods next week

Natty2 · 18/06/2024 20:56

@Hollielouise best of luck for your transfer!!
I followed other tips I found on here and tried every myth in the book, from pineapples to fries and keeping warm feet!
I did acupuncture after the transfer which my acupuncturist said was the main one to do if I couldn't fit in before. I'm not sure if any of those things are what helped it work. Best of luck!

Anna531 · 18/06/2024 21:10

Good luck @Hollielouise so exciting! I too did all the old wives tales….mcdonalds fries after, pineapple in the first week, bought warm cosy slipper socks I’ve worn as soon as I get in from work, Brazil nuts every morning but it was more helping me feel like I was doing something through the wait.
I’ve been taking a multivitamin, VitD and folic acid every morning now for quite a while.

Sierra26 · 18/06/2024 21:29

@Hollielouise thanks, good to know it’s normal! Sending lots of luck for Monday ❤️

hja62 · 19/06/2024 06:13

@amkw fingers crossed! Our transfer this time was 3 years to the day we transferred our DD, our only successful transfer so I’m all about significance of transfer dates!!

Thanks so much @Anna531, @Hollielouise, @Sierra26 ! So lovely to have the support! Where are you in the process? Are you still prepping for transfer or in the dreaded TWW

@Natty2 my OTD is this Sunday 23rd!

I've run out of proper tests (obsessive testing for a couple of days!!) so I'm down to cheap dipsticks until I can get more, but I did one this morning and it looks darker than last night. I actually had a little cry with relief....definitely not out of the woods yet but another step in the right direction!

Sierra26 · 19/06/2024 07:36

Aw I love the date significance @hja62 !

Im TTC#1, in round 1, after an unintended freeze all in April (OHSS). Have 3 embryos in the freezer. Have first lining scan tomorrow and I usually have good lining (we did 6 monitored letrozole cycles prior to this and was complimented on my lining each month!) so I’m hoping we’ll get the go ahead quite quickly. Meaning I expect transfer to end up planned for any day next week 🤞🏻
