Hi I’m on my second letrozole cycle, had 2 mature follicles and got an hcg trigger shot 5000iu 12 days ago.
Got a bfp this morning at 10/11dpo (see pic), could it still be from the trigger shot or is this real 🙈

@GS7 absolutely! Week 12 seems SO far away - honestly time seems to be going so slowly at the moment! I really need to try and find a way to speed it up somehow…

GS7 · 26/02/2024 16:51

@hopingforapeainapod tell me about it! We’ll just have to keep each other positive in the meantime…

Rac3693 · 29/02/2024 13:44

Just thought to update I just had my scan! All looking good, even managed to see and hear a heartbeat! Measuring 5.5/6 weeks.
Super relieved and excited! @hopingforapeainapod @GS7

@Rac3693 Congratulations! That’s really wonderful news. Must be so nice to get some reassurance that everything is looking well :)

Unfortunately I started getting some brown spotting last night and period like painful cramping. Spoke to nurse this morning and she said not to worry unless it gets worse and turns red, but it’s hard not to worry! I have my early scan on 9th March. Will let you know how it goes and if anything changes in the meantime…

hopingforapeainapod · 29/02/2024 16:43

@Rac3693 ah congratulations! That’s so exciting ❤️ I’ve got my scan a week today when I will be 7 weeks and I can’t bloody wait! I also got my 12 week scan through the post today - 9th of April!! 🤞 which is also starting to make it feel very real.

@GS7 ah it’s so stressful isn’t it! I’m glad the nurse was reassuring but not worrying is so much easier said than done. It’s so easy to stay positive in the early stages - it’s so weird to have to keep it a secret at a time when in many ways you actually need the most support! I have heard though that spotting is very normal in early pregnancy, especially brown spotting which indicates older blood…

Rac3693 · 29/02/2024 16:44

Oh dear! That must be so nervewracking… hope for you it clears up!! I’ve heard some spotting is normal so perhaps that’s all it is.. good luck!@GS7

@Rac3693 @hopingforapeainapod Thanks for the reassurance! It seems to be quite light for now so fingers crossed it is just temporary 🤞🏼

hopingforapeainapod · 01/03/2024 16:04

@GS7 how are you getting on?

I’m having a weird wobble today… got down a bit of a Google rabbit hole and looking up blighted ovums and missed miscarriages and things and starting to now worry about the scan next week… not sure why I do this to myself! Obviously I do still have symptoms (sore boobs, hungry, some mild cramping and tiredness) but they are very manageable, and I don’t know it’s almost like I imagined them to be more intense by now? No food aversions, no nausea, no constipation or anything… obviously I will probably regret saying this next week when I have all of these x1000 but honestly early trimester is such a rollercoaster, I just want someone to tell me that there is really something in there!!

GS7 · 03/03/2024 22:00

@hopingforapeainapod I’m doing okay thanks, since I started spotting and had the cramps last week, I’ve been a bit all over the place! The spotting hasn't completely stopped yet, but it is very very light, so trying not to overthink until my scan on Saturday!

I honestly feel the same with symptoms. Mine have been so on/off, I don't have any significant symptoms and no morning sickness. Just the fatigue, bloating & sore breasts (all quite mild). Although my friend who is expecting her second, said morning sickness didn't start for her until around 8 weeks and she had it quite bad. Maybe its just early?

Hang in there! When is your scan? Mine is on the Saturday 11th x

hopingforapeainapod · 05/03/2024 17:57

@GS7 So after complaining last week my symptoms seriously ramped up a notch over the weekend!! Sunday evening and yesterday evening I felt really nauseous - I haven't actually been sick yet and weirdly don't (yet) feel like I'm going to but definitely had aversions to certain smells (I could barely go in the kitchen!) I have felt slightly better today, less nauseous at least, but completely wiped out and haven't been able to get off the sofa since coming back from work! I've also been emotionally a bit all over the place - I have my scan on Thursday (can't believe it's only the day after tomorrow!) - so really hoping that goes well and gives me a bit of reassurance... How are you doing? Best of luck for Saturday!

Rac3693 · 06/03/2024 12:19

Best of luck for tomorrow!! @hopingforapeainapod waiting to hear how it goes!

@hopingforapeainapod All the best with the scan today! Have my fingers crossed all goes well 🤞🏼

hopingforapeainapod · 07/03/2024 13:21

@GS7 all went well!! Measuring 6+5 so where it should be - it was very blobby and fuzzy but we did see a tiny heartbeat! Said all looks good and everything is where it should be so feeling very relieved xx hope all goes well for you on Saturday! It is very surreal!

GS7 · 07/03/2024 14:42

@hopingforapeainapod Delighted for you!!! So glad to hear that everything went well, very exciting. Hopefully you can relax a little bit now and start to enjoy the process :)

Will let you know how my scan goes on Saturday!

Rac3693 · 07/03/2024 16:54

Fantastic news @hopingforapeainapod did they tell you have fast the heartbeat was? Super happy for you.
Good luck for saturday @GS7

@hopingforapeainapod @Rac3693 Scan went well this morning! They said everything looked good and saw a strong heartbeat (140bpm). Currently about 7 weeks and 2 days. Nice to get some reassurance that everything seems to be going well :)

Rac3693 · 10/03/2024 09:36

Amazing you must be so relieved! So happy for you! @GS7 I have a scan with the clinic this Wednesday… really hoping it all looks good since the last one. Hard to believe it really as I dont have many symptoms…

hopingforapeainapod · 10/03/2024 11:48

@GS7 yay that’s great news!! So mad seeing the heartbeat isn’t it! I’ve got another scan two weeks on Tuesday when I will be about 9.5 weeks and I am already counting down the days / hours! 😂

@Rac3693 best of luck for your scan on Wednesday - how far along should you be then? Also enjoy not having many symptoms - I am still absolutely exhausted!! My nausea comes and goes and I at least haven’t been sick yet but this feeling in the pit of my stomach is really not very pleasant!

Rac3693 · 10/03/2024 12:34

Thanks @hopingforapeainapod I should be approx 7+6 on Wednesday.
I am definitely more tired too and needing the bathroom more often but I just can’t say I feel pregnant 🙈 don’t know how to describe it, weird I know!

GS7 · 10/03/2024 21:43

@Rac3693 @hopingforapeainapod Thank you! Definitely surreal, hasn’t quite sunk in yet and I’m sure it wont for a while. Wishing all the best for your upcoming scans!

@Rac3693 I’m in the same boat with symptoms. For me it’s using the bathroom more frequently, tiredness & sore breasts from time to time, but nothing significant! The nurse said it could still be early or I could just be one of the lucky ones not too experience too many symptoms! Will have to wait and see…

Rac3693 · 13/03/2024 23:17

Just an update, had my scan today! All looking good, measuring 7+5 and super strong fast heartbeat.
Couldn’t be happier! @GS7 @hopingforapeainapod

@Rac3693 so happy to hear that, Congratulations! Is your next scan at 12 weeks?

Rac3693 · 14/03/2024 13:45

Thanks!! Yes next scan @ 12 weeks and it can’t come soon enough! How about you? Any midwife appointments? @GS7
