CARE Fertility add ons to be used - zymot and embryo glue

Starting northisterone on the 24th Jan

Hello @Sherr33 am I ok to join, I start my meds at the end of Jan but will hopefully be a Feb transfer.
Bit of background, miscarriage December for first fresh transfer, this one will be a frozen transfer, transfering 2 day5 blastocyst.
Male fertility issue over here so ICSI used.
my AMH 18, potential transfer 20th Feb (cycle dependent)

@camelinastorm of course. That is why I created a February thread. Thought we all need each other during cycles and its nice to have someone who will understand.
Im sorry to hear the fresh transfer resulted in a MC but fingers crossed for the FET. Will you be transferring two embryos? How are you feeling in yourself after the loss? X did you get your AMH tested recently? My results are from 2022 so I'm assuming they've dropped but I'm not going to focus too much on that. We are also doing ICSI

@Sherr33 yes tested recently
Tbh feel fine after MC, something just didn't feel right so kind of dismissed the positive test.
We have 2 in the freezer 4bc and 2bb (I think) We are transfering both as the clinic believes it wasn't an implementation issue more an embryo issue, hence doing 2.

My fresh went really well, stims good, no pain, Egg Collection really good, really liked the sedation (had the best little sleep I'd had in ages) and no pain after, transient well, it was just an unfortunate ending.

I'd just recommend relax and take everything as it comes 💪🏼

I guess you knew your body very well to have realised that.
That is a solid plan and hopefully one that is fruitful. I wonder how many others will be joining us on this thread 🤔

@LIVFingOnAPrayer19 welcome!
Are you taking northisterone? I wonder if anyone is taking those tablets

My EC is potentially going to be towards end of Feb. And I'm sure my gonal f dose is same as yours 😃 also our first cycle as much as im saying im not too fussed about my AMH I think in reality I kind of am. I don't know how to switch that off.

@Sherr33 am not taking northisterone. Are you long protocol?

Report
Sherr33 · 12/01/2024 20:39

Im on short protocol but the more comments I see the more I realise that there are so many different protocols. I think some are doing short natural where they go by the persons period. I was kind of hoping mine would be like that but its quite controlled

@LIVFingOnAPrayer19 hi so glad there is more joining, you sound like your on a lot of meds, good for you, sounds great. My clinic have been quite quite with meds ( had previous pregnancies so secondary infertility thus low meds)

So glad for more bods in the same IVF journey

LIVFingOnAPrayer19 · 13/01/2024 10:03

@Sherr33 Not really doing any preps, just the usual vitamin supplements. I've had to lose a bit of weight too before I'm allowed to start. I was 3kg over when I had my last appointment, the doctor said she'd ignore my weight for now, put me on the wait list (although there was technically no waiting list - they were not starting people in December because of Xmas) but just make sure I lose it before the first cycle. So healthy eating and exercise, am now where I need to be but going to continue to make sure I'm definitely under!

@camelinastorm my doctor said I'm on the lowest dose of stims 🤷🏻‍♀️ as am high risk for OHSS. My AFC was 22 so anything more than 20 and they will do a freeze all.

I am going to get back onto my supplements I stopped taking them back end of October I just got fed up of it all and had no real start date and just felt like I'd paused my whole life just waiting to start. Went on a little break im December and didn't think I'd be starting anytime soon to be honest and now here we are haha

Hi everyone, I got our letter today to say we are top of the waiting list for treatment and to ring on Monday to accept our offer for treatment. We were told from this stage we will start within 2 months depending on cycles so hoping we will get started in February too! We’ll be doing ICSI due to MF.

Hi All, hopefully starting end Jan/ early Feb!! Can I ask where you got your meds, or who is cheapest for Gonal F?
Also @LIVFingOnAPrayer19 i see you will trigger with either ovitrelle or buserelin… I have the same on my prescription. Do you know why they add both? Thanks

Hi welcome to anyone new whose joined hope everyone is having a good weekend. @TTC12 my prescription was sent to a Rowlands pharmacy by my clinic i didnt really have a choice.
@180monkeys have you had your blood tests and scans done? Have they said why ICSI?

@Sherr33 yes we’ve had all our tests and scans etc so just waiting on our consent forms now and hopefully get started! We’re ICSI due to my husband having anti bodies which attach themselves to his sperm and stop them swimming and make fertilisation difficult so hopefully that should get around that!

are you doing ICSI also? Will this be your first cycle?

Sherr33 · 14/01/2024 08:07

@180monkeys yes we are doing ICSI and it is our first time i think maybe thats why we are excited about it.

On glad there is a few more of us hoping for happy February vibes for all.

@TTC12 I used a local independent pharmacy, they asked if it was for fertility and not menopause symptoms.
Took them 2 days to get them in and didn't cost the earth... Also not cheep though.

camelinastorm · 14/01/2024 10:28

@LIVFingOnAPrayer19 ah sorry I read the 225 as the dosage, low stims seem to be a popular choice and less side effects.

Freeze all at least allows your body to rest, just wondering for future treatments is freeze all a much larger expense added?

@LIVFingOnAPrayer19 can I ask when you said they do a freeze all for anything over 20 follicles is that follicles that grow after stims?

I had 30 AFC during my testing scan and asked would this mean freeze all and my consultant said no it would just depend how I got on with the stims but I’m starting to think now maybe freeze all is likely. I’ll be doing lowest dose stims to start with also.

Hi all

How is everyone doing?
Does everyone know their plan/dosage etc

I am my worst enemy in the fact that I'm constantly searching things and go from being very excited to apprehensive and scared. I will be starting my Northisterone next week on the 24th anybody else on these tablets?

Hey @Sherr33 i could have written this- I’m the exact same!!
I think I start on 30ish Jan- not sure which pill this is on my prescription- potentially prygnova. Then I’m on 175 gonalF.
This is my first round to- so it’s all new to me. I’m also ICSI!
Just wish I could get started, as all I’m doing is thinking about it.
