@TTC12 same. In November when I was told I couldn't start till I had a review with gp regarding my Mental Health and was put on waiting list I stopped thinking about it I assumed it would be long wait and I even stopped bothering with my supplements etc and then boom in January I get told I start soon and its the only thing on my mind at times. Some days, very rare, I don't think about it other times im just calculating dates.
When do you start gonal f? The tablets might be similar to northisterone. I start my injections on the 15/2 gonal f 225 and same first time and icsi too.

That’s exciting you’re both about to start! I rang to accept our treatment offer on Monday but they need an updated TSH result for me as I’m on tablets for my thyroid so I’m getting the blood test tomorrow and will hopefully get the results on Thursday and can start our consent forms

Sherr33 · 16/01/2024 21:23

@180monkeys oh okay you probably won't be too far behind. Do you know what protocol you're having?

OP posts:
180monkeys · 16/01/2024 21:31

@Sherr33 my period is due this weekend and then again around 16th of Feb so hoping we get started in Feb cycle but they seemed to think things would move pretty quickly so fingers crossed! I’ll be doing short protocol.

thirtyandmore · 18/01/2024 21:35

Hello, please can I join?

I originally joined the January thread as I am top of IVF waiting list, but still need to get BMI under 30 - have lost 2 stone and 9lb to go. Doing the fast 800 diet so hopefully won't be long, then just have to give them a ring when I've lost it and will start straight away.

I will be doing long protocol but my down regulation will only be one injection that lasts four weeks, rather than daily. Anyone else having this?

Sherr33 · 19/01/2024 11:16

Hi @thirtyandmore I can't express the feeling during the waiting to start...quite frustrating but relief too. Well for me it was and now that I know I'm starting I just feel so many emotions its actually tiring keeping up.

Sorry I dont have any advise for you on tht front.

camelinastorm · 19/01/2024 11:34

Welcome @thirtyandmore
The wait is antagonising isn't it, once you get started it all goes pretty fast, I had a fresh transfer early Dec unfortunately ended in MC, once you start it's all go I found.

I've recently had my consultation for my FET hopefully should be transfering mid Feb

waitingforourmiracle · 19/01/2024 14:12

I'm waiting for AF to arrive then I'll be starting my meds, egg retrieval will fall into feb ! I'll be using Gonal F 125iu, Cetrotide and Ovitrelle to trigger! My first IVF round! I'm doing mild IVF with ICSI x

Sherr33 · 19/01/2024 14:58

@waitingforourmiracle eeek my potential date for ER is 26/02
How are you feeling?

I started eating good and then went down hill 🤦‍♀️ I cant be bothered being too strict with myself I want to not stress too much about that

waitingforourmiracle · 19/01/2024 15:05

@Sherr33 nervous haha!! Also getting frustrated, I've had every period symptom this week but no period! I just want to get started now but my cycles are so random I have no idea when it will come, typical spend years not wanting a period and now I want to start it won't!

I'm the same I'm trying not to be too strict on myself. How are you feeling?

Bnichols89 · 21/01/2024 20:08

Hi everyone, I’m starting norethisterone tomorrow and due to start stims on 9th feb. It’ll be gonal-f, ganirelix and ovitrelle to trigger. Hoping for egg collection around 21st but we’ll see what happens!

Sherr33 · 21/01/2024 20:21

@Bnichols89 eeek excited my potential collection is 26th of Feb. Il be starting my Northisterone this Wednesday. I really hope it doesn't make me feel too uncomfortable. I start stims 15/02

OP posts:
Bnichols89 · 21/01/2024 20:26

@Sherr33 yea me too, I just can’t wait to get started now! Obviously hoping the symptoms aren’t too bad and just trying to stay positive.

Sherr33 · 21/01/2024 20:31

@Bnichols89 How long will you be taking the tablets for? I was just trying to calculate thw difference between stims and EC for our cycles il be 6 days out but only 2 days between the tablets

My IBS has flared up SO badly 😫 it's actually worrying me because it's the last thing I need.

OP posts:
Bnichols89 · 21/01/2024 20:37

@Sherr33 I'm doing 13 days of tablets and then a 5 day break. I have no idea why it’s like that! I’m just going with the flow 😂

Sherr33 · 21/01/2024 20:47

@Bnichols89 that explains that haha mines 17 days and 5 days break. I just get curious about it all. Although I'm going through it..its also so fascinating to me. What sort of preparation have you done? I'm being positive and hoping I domt feel terrible during it all otherwise I'm just end up taking time off work its so nice to have someone else on a similar cycle hehe sorry in advance if I bombard you with 101 questions 😅

OP posts:
Bnichols89 · 21/01/2024 20:51

@Sherr33 haha I don’t mind, it’s nice to have company on the journey! I’ve not done too much, just trying to get into a good routine of exercise/eating etc. Obviously taking conception vitamins and have had some acupuncture. What about you?

Sherr33 · 21/01/2024 21:04

@Bnichols89 I tried to sort out my eating but currently my stomach isn't playing ball so I've given up before I've started 😅 I'm taking zita west pre conception vitamins. And well tried to get back into routine of exercise but only managed one day out of the whole month so far 😩🤦‍♀️ I'm trying to worry or stress too much

Eljane34 · 21/01/2024 22:44

Hi everyone, so glad to know I’m not on my own here! I am due to start short protocol ICSI my next period and have my scan booked in for the 2nd Feb (period dependent), however, I’m not sure if I have ovulated this month. I generally get a positive OPK on CD15, however, this month it seems I either haven’t ovulated yet, OR got a positive on CD12 (the only day I forgot to test) I generally get stronger lines in the lead up. I got lots of EWCM on days 7-11 but nothing after that.

So typical for this to happen the month that I really need it to be normal. Has anyone else experienced this? And does anyone know if this will affect starting the IVf? I’m worried that if I come on my period, that it won’t be a proper one and just a withdrawal bleed.

Im so tired of waiting all the time!

im 34 and have got low AMH 1.6!!! Only had 6 follicles when I had my fertility testing scans (SIS and HyCosy) My partner is fine but I think they are putting us on ICSI to be on the safe side.

I stopped temping for a while as found it all too consuming and just do OPKs, but will do my BBT in the morning and hope it’s high and will give me some peace of mind.

Not sure whether I should contact my clinic either. It’s all just so overwhelming and consuming!!!!

Eljane34 · 22/01/2024 06:45

Did my bbt this morning and it was 36.72 which is a high reading for me when I have taken my temp in the past. Before ovulation I’m usually 36.2-36.4

Will carry on taking and see how it goes, looks like maybe I did ovulate early then?!

waitingforourmiracle · 22/01/2024 10:49

@Eljane34 I'm sort of the same, my cycles are so random anyway but the last few months seemed to be "normal" this month never got a positive OPK although they are always quite high, I'm on cycle day 35 and no sign on AF yet, my protocol sounds abit different though, I contact them when I start my period and then book in for a day 6 scan. I've googled and tried everything to get AF to hurry but nothing yet 😣typical, spend years not wanting a period and then when I do it's not coming!

Cat191 · 22/01/2024 16:26
