@Sunflower360 I will like to have a scan to see how my womb lining looks like after retrieval before I transfer as I was at risk of OHSS. So that my endometrium recovers from the IVF medications.
I am maximizing my single cycle, spreading it out and not rushing. Because its frozen embryo transfer anyway.
I don't think they do embryoGlue in Create. 🤔
I will ask the doctor next week though.

Plantymcplant · 30/01/2024 11:12

@Jennaqua How did your Monday call go?

waitingforourmiracle · 30/01/2024 12:16

Sorry to just randomly jump into this thread but did anyone take norethisterone or any sort of downreg pill for mild protocol? I'm currently on CD43 and no sign of AF 😫I'm just wondering if anyone else with irregular cycles got any sort of help before treatment? I'm due to start GonalF on day 2 of my next cycles I just don't feel like it's coming any time soon! TIA x

Sunflower360 · 30/01/2024 13:50

@waitingforourmiracle I wasn't sure if shutting down the ovaries was apart of mild ivf as that's short protocol and shutting down the ovaries is long protocol?

Had my delivery, guess what was missing?! Ffs. I haven't even got the energy to deal with it. The most frustrating thing is I knew it wouldn't be delivered. I've got to go before work tomorrow so dealing with rush hour traffic for 1 stupid box of estrogen tablets.
Plus all the stress is delaying my ovulation so it's probably a moot point. We've got a short window for getting this cycle in due to dh's work commitments so need to have ovulated within the next couple of days.

I just feel like cancelling the whole thing.

Sunflower360 · 30/01/2024 14:19

@VenusStarr I would take this up with the clinic Manager, they need to know Stork are not up to standard as they can use other suppliers plus they should look to compensate for fuel/time etc for you to have to go to the clinic for something that was not your error.

I had an issue with a blood test (one part of the miscarriage tests) not being processed by the lab and the clinic refunded me for the cost and still processed the next blood test for results within 24 hours. Unfortunately complaining does get results

Hopesandsunshine · 30/01/2024 18:36

@VenusStarr that’s awful! Definitely I think you should complain, it’s their mistake not yours and this added stress is just not needed.

out of curiosity @Sunflower360 how did you complain?

@Jennaqua there’s great news! How is the womb looking?

Jennaqua · 30/01/2024 22:09

@Plantymcplant Five embryos survived.
Suddenly received a bill for embryo storage £1120 within my cycle, that's a frozen transfer from day 1🤦‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😡
@Hopesandsunshine womb healing finished the antibiotics.

jolly86 · 31/01/2024 05:23

@Jennaqua I don't understand, did they already freeze your embryos? Or they decided they will at day 5?

jolly86 · 31/01/2024 05:24

@VenusStarr this sounds all too stressful but I hope you can stay calm.

Sunflower360 · 31/01/2024 06:21

@Hopesandsunshine I sent a very firm email to my patient coordinator and that got a response. A lot of it is putting across where they've gone wrong and the emotional stresses etc, as well as any legal ramifications i.e. you've paid for a service and its not been delivered so you are entitled to monies back if its not delivered in line with expectations.

OP posts:
Jennaqua · 31/01/2024 08:02

@jolly86 They decided to freeze one embryo on Monday and allowed four to develop to blastocyst. So whether I like it or not there is storage bill waiting for me. I have sent them an email. Expressing my disgust for such insensitive approach, while they mentally prepare me for miscarriage with all this mental stress. I am recovering and waiting, praying for successful blastocyst and they dare send bill.
without discussing with me. Am at work and email drops, rubbish! For what? As if am an idiot that won't understand their gimmicks when am still within my cycle. I have not done egg transfer yet.
They responded with an apologetic email.
I understand the risk but speak me like an educated person. Not to send an invoice expecting me to pay without explanation.

jolly86 · 31/01/2024 08:07

@Jennaqua with 5 fertilized eggs it was most likely there will be some frozen ones. But I guess what wasn't obvious is you will have a frozen transfer, which I guess now you are doing? I agree that they are just too quick to send the bill. Well, I am still waiting for the medical notes since the end of my cycle and nothing yet :( if it was something to do with money it would have been done right away..

Jennaqua · 31/01/2024 08:21

From day1 after initial consultation in June2023, it was stated in my bespoke plan. Frozen embryo transfer with a total bill at the bottom of the plan and that's exactly what I paid. So I was told and billed.

Hi all just jumping on this thread as I've started the process with Create in Sheffield/Leeds. Had the tests done there, like HyCosy and SA. Not had the best experience so far, poor communication mostly but it's putting me off. The centre is advertised as being in Sheffield but for most of the procedures you have to drive an hour up the M1 to their Leeds clinic. The doctor was really late for our consultation and overly casual about everything. They've recommended three cycles of iui even though nothing wrong with DH. Any thoughts on continuing with Create or going somewhere else? I've already asked for all my test results and medical notes so I can get a second opinion with my GP. But even that is proving a bit of a battle, do they have to give them to me?

waitingforourmiracle · 31/01/2024 12:03

Think you're right but I wasn't 100% it's so frustrating waiting to start with an irregular cycle 😤thanks for your reply x

gemso2020 · 01/02/2024 12:08

@VenusStarr So sorry, what a stress. As others have said, certainly worth an official complaint - the last thing you need during this is additional stress. Hope you are feeling okay

@CatmumTTC Welcome! I'm sorry I'm not too well informed about IUI, were you expected to do mild protocol, and they have suggested IUI? What were their reasons for suggesting IUI? Generally, the medical care I think at Create is very good, but as you can probably see from the thread the comms/admin side is not ideal!

Looking like it's going to be a late EC for me (probably day 17) if we get there at all, as I have been responding a bit slowly this cycle. Not feeling overly confident especially as I've ovulated early before, but we'll see what happens in the next few days I guess.

Jennaqua · 01/02/2024 14:21

Hugs and kisses to everyone going through this journey. It is stressful and amazing. The knowledge I have research on my own is fascinating. I have used myself as an experiment in this process. I am my lab-rat as the scientists will call a specimen A.
I have been able to secure three 4AA embryos.
Just bled today since after egg collection. I had cause to request for the images of these embryos. Those that survived(good enough for freezing) and those that didn't. It is good for my mental health🤦‍♂️😥.
I will embark on the final stage of transfer soon (frozen embryo transfer).

Sunflower360 · 01/02/2024 14:51

@Jennaqua that is good news, do you know what protocol of FET you will be doing?

@VenusStarr I've also had issues with Stork, trigger injection for FET arrived damaged and open so I've returned it and sent a strongly worded email to them and Create about it. My FET is not for a number of weeks but it's not the point as Stork need to be held accountable for shoddy deliveries, as these types of things can lead to stress for people already going through the mill with IVF

OP posts:
Jennaqua · 01/02/2024 15:02

Stress is the no 1 factor that can pull out an embryo😡and mess up a woman's system. And this back and forth; paid service, shabby delivery; is not cutting it at all. They have no empathy in their practice. Unbelievable! So sorry to hear about these disappointments @VenusStarr

Jennaqua · 01/02/2024 15:14

@Sunflower360 I don't know the FET protocol yet.

VenusStarr · 04/02/2024 11:26

Thank you for all being so kind ❤️ I'm sorry I'm not replying much. I've got an occupational health assessment this week.
I am starting estradiol tomorrow. I thought we'd have more time, but kind of feel like our next cycle starts tomorrow.

We have booked a break away for March.

Hope everyone is doing ok x

Doxy21 · 04/02/2024 14:50

Good luck @VenusStarr

Hopesandsunshine · 04/02/2024 18:47

Wishing you all the best @VenusStarr and hope this cycle is better than the last 🙌🏽 xx

Sunflower360 · 04/02/2024 19:00

@VenusStarr good luck and hope it goes ok!
