@HopefulElle hope you get a good consultation and a plan to do next.

gemso2020 · 18/01/2024 09:59

@HopefulElle Gosh, really sorry to hear that - after a nice break, I'm sure that must feel really disappointing. I hope you are able to get a consultant meeting soon, and get a bit more insight. Sending hugs!

@Sunflower360 Fingers crossed for your hysteroscopy report.

Sunflower360 · 18/01/2024 10:02

@gemso2020 thank you, will know more tomorrow.

@HopefulElle sorry to read that, hopefully they can have some suggestions to support in situations like that, I'm sure they would have come across it previously

Update from me. So Hysteroscopy follow up went well. Turned out I didn't just have a polyp to remove but I also had abrasions which are now removed and have smoothed out the lining (he asked if I ever had an infection but I haven't so he suggested it can just happen without any reason sometimes). Also my cervix was too tight and would have prevented an embryo transfer from being able to take place, so he opened that up too.

So long and short of it is I would have needed the Hysteroscopy regardless of the polyp but thankfully I did before any transfer! So full steam ahead now, I've got my transfer consultation next week

That’s good news @Sunflower360! could the cervix issue have been reducing natural pregnancy chances at all?

Doxy21 · 19/01/2024 20:54

That’s great news @Sunflower360

my cycle is starting any day now and we’ve opted for the saline scan instead of hysteroscopy so that will be in the next 2 weeks. And then hopefully double embryo transfer around early March.

Sunflower360 · 19/01/2024 23:28

@HopefulElle Dr seemed not to think so when I asked him as he said the sperm are so incredibly tiny, like miniscule mm's. Plus my cervix was actually open but just very tight, hence it would have caused issues for Create when it came it to transfer what with the tools they use to do it - so he opened it up a bit to make transfer possible. I did get pregnant in the summer gone (chemical pregnancy), so I think sperm not travelling up is only an issue where the cervix is completely closed.

@Doxy21 good luck for your saline option and double transfer too!

Hello hope everyone is doing ok? I had my 2nd period since the failed transfer and it has been very strong, it has now calmed down. My first bleed wasn't strong and I don't normally have strong periods. It did arrive exactly 4 weeks after the first bleeding though. At least glad I can start planning ahead.

Jennaqua · 22/01/2024 05:57

Hi, I hope everyone is doing okay.
Started meds and all going well, I was advised to increase my Bemfola to 225iu& administer Cetrotide, scanned on Friday and multiple follicles growing as seen in the scan@12mm. Going for another scan today to determine trigger day. And I am hoping for a good blastocyst 🙏🎯

Sunflower360 · 22/01/2024 07:19

@Jennaqua that is good news, are you doing a mutli cycle or are you hoping to transfer this cycle?

What are your next steps now @jolly86?

Thsy sounds great @Jennaqua good luck!

jolly86 · 22/01/2024 09:23

@Jennaqua that sounds really promising :) is this your first cycle?

@Doxy21 I want to do another cycle probably in march, but not at create. Had the slightest hope of falling pregnant in the cycle following transfer but that didn't happen.

Sunflower360 · 22/01/2024 09:36

@jolly86 sorry to hear that, which clinics are you considering? Have you had your follow up with Create?

Update from me: I'll be doing a natural FET from my next cycle around mid Feb. Got asked if I want to PGTA embryos, but I decided against it as freezing/refreezing could lead to a 10% chance of losing an embryo and if that was a possible good one lost I'd never know. Would rather put them in and give them a chance. Single transfer first and second time and then I can start doing doubles if they don't work

Sunflower360 · 22/01/2024 10:14

What does the timeline look like for a natural FET? I'm usually a 28/29 day cycle. Just trying to work out when and how many scans would be required

OP posts:
Jennaqua · 22/01/2024 10:56

Thanks @Doxy21 &@Sunflower360.
Just back from scan
Several follicles at 14mm, few at 17-16mm
Doctor has advised collection for Friday, so that we can have alot of follicles to retrieve for storage. Last scan day will be Wednesday (My 🎂b-day) and then possible trigger. 🙏🤞
I asked the perfect size for transfer and the doctor said it depends on the individual. Lots of considerations (age, body mass, follicle growth process, etcetera etcetera)
I am hopeful. @Sunflower360 It's is not a multi-cycle.

Jennaqua · 22/01/2024 11:08

@jolly86 Yes, it's my first IVF cycle and hopefully last. God knows I just need 2 embryos for my twins baby I anticipate👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. 👶👶🤱🤰
May God help us in this journey to motherhood.

Ks2023 · 22/01/2024 11:57

Girls please help me out I’m driving myself mental. My periods came 1 week earlier it was very unusual and the flow was very very light and watery and completely finished after 2 days. That’s made me think something is off so I did pregnancy test yesterday and today. They kind of have a line but I’m thinking it’s just odd test?

Sunflower360 · 22/01/2024 12:36

@Ks2023 that does look positive, have you done another test? Would suggest waiting for a few hours between tests. It is possible that could have been implantation bleeding perhaps, what you describe?

Were you about to start an IVF cycle?

OP posts:
Jennaqua · 22/01/2024 12:43

@Ks2023 I can see a faint 1st line in the second image. Very faint. 🤞
Sending hugs and kisses. #xoxo.
Be calm, wait awhile and do it again as @Sunflower360 has said.

Ks2023 · 22/01/2024 13:05

I have some more tests I’m gonna do one tomorrow again 🙏🏻 I supposed to have my Hycosy this week. That’s what I thought implantation bleeding but it was mora that just spiting. So bizarre 😖 gonna wait and see now

Ks2023 · 22/01/2024 13:21

More just spotting * 🤪

jolly86 · 23/01/2024 14:49

@Ks2023 could you update what happened xx
@Doxy21 I want to do it abroad. How are you feeling? You are transferring in february or march?
@Jennaqua good luck it all sounds great till now x

Doxy21 · 23/01/2024 14:55

@jolly86 im feeling ok. My cycle will start end Feb so I imagine transfer will be early March. I hear lots of people rave about ivf abroad.

Sunflower360 · 23/01/2024 22:51

@Doxy21 you and I may be on a similar timeline for FET. When is your saline inspection?

Doxy21 · 24/01/2024 03:15

@Sunflower360 next week 🤞🏽
