I'm 38, currently in a 3 cycle Natural Modfied ICSI package and nearing transfer stage.

Not good news. There's a 2 cell, 3 cell, 4 cell and 5 cell which they don't think will get much further. The two better ones are 8 cell and 6 cell but they have a fragmentation grade of 3 so they said they are not the best. They will ring tomorrow but said there might not be anything to transfer on Monday

@Plantymcplant so sorry to hear, this IVF rollercoaster is relentless. You have an 8 cell so hopefully that could pull through? If you don't mind me asking what is your age and is this your first cycle?

@Plantymcplant sorry to hear this. I hope and it is likely that one of your embryos will become a blastocyst though!

I'm turning 36 next week. It's going to be a rough birthday haha

I'm worried there is something wrong with my eggs as none of the day 3s look super healthy

@Plantymcplant don't let one cycle put you off as each month can vary so much. Have you been taking supplements/ following a IVF diet at all?

@Sunflower360 Thank you! They rang again yesterday afternoon and booked us for a transfer on Monday. They said they wouldn't check them again as they don't want to disturb them. So we will set off on Monday and hope we don't get a bad news phone call on the drive over.

Has anyone had a transfer booked then have it cancelled on the morning?

The other 2 haven't made it. He wasn't sure they'd not arrested but they'll keep them til tomorrow. He said he was happy with our day 3 frostie and that if it's grade 1 or 2 that's good. He said my grade 3 and 4 he wouldn't have expected to develop. So I'll meet with my doctor and review my protocol for next time.

@VenusStarr hope you are feeling better now, yes 1 frozen grade 1 or 2 is a good result out of 3 fertilized eggs x @Plantymcplant all the best for tomorrow x

Thank you all so much for the good luck messages. They really helped. It was a very stressful day as we didn't get a morning phone call so just turned up to the clinic not knowing if there was anything to transfer. They also couldn't find the doctor for a while. I was so desperate for the loo the whole time.

Then the doctor and the embryologist came and we have one embryo that made it to day 5 a 3CB so that was transferred today. Keeping everything crossed it will implant and keep on growing

@Plantymcplant that's a bit rubbish that they didn't call, what clinic are you with? Good news you have had a transfer though, hope the 2ww goes ok!

@Plantymcplant that does sound like very bad organization indeed, must have been stressful ! However it did end well that you had a transfer, now the exciting wait x
