I'm 38, currently in a 3 cycle Natural Modfied ICSI package and nearing transfer stage.

@Hopesandsunshine indeed in the feedback I was told all my eggs (5) seemed to have poor morphology :( but I did have a success in my first round out of 6 fertilised eggs so who knows

thanks @jolly86 just worrying that one and only good golden egg has passed me by and that’s my chance gone so to speak. I think I might have an underlying issue but naturally that’s a rabbit hole I don’t really want to go down, we did long protocols at the previous clinic and I wonder if it helped in tells of suppressing inflammation etc but obviously it made no difference to egg quality. I’ve upped my Coq10 to 600mg but I slept terribly last night so hoping it will soon settle. How are you doing?

No @jolly86 my bloods were fine, but the Dr who did collection said they won't push the extra day next time. I don't know the levels yet @Sunflower360 but was told nothing indicated they were worried about it. But I did ask because I was worried about it. The person who scanned me on Saturday was from another clinic, but it's on my list of questions. I usually ovulate naturally on cd10 and in my low dose stim FET cycle (where we collected the eggs, it was the same and I'd ovulated the top one) so I'm quite unhappy they let that happen again. I'm going to see what my consultant says next week. I might ask them to investigate what happened.
The egg collection Dr said that my afc and amh didn't match what was collected yesterday, so that's why it's a poor response. But I've since read this is a type of follicle flare where one dominant follicle basically takes all the stims, so why wasn't that picked up?

Have zero hope now.

@VenusStarr definitely have it investigated and if needed push for some reduction in costs somewhere if there was some error along the way.

I think someone in this group has estrogen priming and it worked well. What were your daily stims dose? I found a slow and steady approach worked better for me

Had my call, 3 fertilised normally 🥹 😭 in total shock. The embryologist said all were mature, but they can't tell which was the early ovulator. She also said they will freeze a day 3 embryo (my Dr originally said no).

So next update on Friday. Genuinely had written it off, so this is a pleasant surprise.

@VenusStarr oh that is amazing news !! I thought this would happen as you usually have a good fertilization rate. So happy for you. Again, could you remind me if you're doing a fresh transfer or not?

No fresh transfer - this is my first cycle of 3. Hopefully we would do a transfer on cycle 3 fresh, as long as my lining is ok, which it seemed to be this cycle.
I'm not doing back to back though, so will have a bleed, then a full cycle and start the one after. They also left 7 follicles (I can't remember what she said about that, but I do have a dermoid cyst and a fibroid and dh thinks she said they might have impaired access) so want those to go away too.

@VenusStarr I’m sorry to be an imposter on this thread but I was going through old messages and we crossed paths quite a bit around 2018 / 2019 ttc era. I wanted to ask you how you are doing? I can see that you’re having IVF and I’m sending you all the luck in the world.

@Chanel05 so nice to hear from you. Thank you for messaging. Unfortunately I'm still in my ttc for number 1 era... its been a bumpy journey, we've lost 6 pregnancies in that time, 4 natural and 2 ivf. This is our last roll of the dice 🙏 Hope you are doing well xx

@VenusStarr that sounds really rough going and I'm really sorry that things haven't gone your way during your journey. Really hoping that this is your year 🙏.

@VenusStarr can't say I experienced that, but it can take a while for hormones to settle

Hi I had my egg collection this morning. How much pain was everyone in after?. When I was there it felt fine but my sides and lower back hurt a lot right now. I don't know if that's normal. I can't walk more than a shuffle

They said they got 8 follicles and will tell me tomorrow how many had eggs and fertilised. It's so much better than the 3 to 6 they said on Monday when I took the trigger assuming all 8 had eggs in. I'm not sure if that's how that works.

@Plantymcplant well done 🙂 I was twingey after, but didn't need extra pain meds. But today I've had a lot of pelvic aches and when I sneezed earlier, it felt quite stabby inside. Hope you're not very uncomfortable, if you are, might be worth checking in with the clinic.

It sounds like you got 8 eggs 🤞 for tomorrow. They'll tell you how many were mature and how many fertilised. Dud you do ivf or icsi?

@Plantymcplant I have to say I didn't have pain, may be worth speaking to the clinic? Also they should have been able to tell you how many eggs they got straight after the procedure, maturity of the eggs would be the following day. 8 is really good!

@Plantymcplant I was in quite a lot of pain after my first collection (eased by second day but not gone completely until day 4/5), but second was much better. Hope you’re feeling better soon & that you have a great update to make it all worth it! X

How are you feeling today @Plantymcplant ? Hope things have eased up a bit for you. Hooe you're not waiting too long for your update call too.

Not excited @jolly86 still convinced this won't end positively. They're calling tomorrow.
It's funny because I feel very removed from the process. The first time, I had the same number of fertilised embryos and I really felt connected to them. I'm almost disassociated from them this time. I don't think I can allow myself to consider we'll get any blastocysts.

How are you?

@VenusStarr I guess knowing you won't transfer now and do other rounds before makes a difference too. So they will wait for day 5 to freeze or they may freeze on day 3? I am ok thanks. Not yet taking any action about next steps. I do better when I am not thinking of ivf all the time. I am still expecting medical notes from my round, which is taking time.
