Oh @Doxy21 i am so sorry 😔 we have paid for this round only and my husband is already complaining that it’s too much money and stress for not great chances of success.

Sunflower360 · 22/12/2023 09:28

@VenusStarr I'm ok, got the Hysteroscopy in 2 weeks so hopefully that goes ok

@jolly86 @Doxy21 hope you're both ok

@VenusStarr I was nervous about colouring hair at first but decided I had to draw the line somewhere on living my life! Didn't fancy greys whilst going through this! So I just get it done before cycles and to be honest it hasn't affected my results (or so I've noticed anyway)

@Doxy21 I understand what you mean about when to stop. I had this thought recently and was thinking would I do another collection. By the time I've transferred what we have I'll be nearing 39 or do we do another collection part way through to back more embryos if possible? How many embryos is enough to give this a go? Ultimately a line has to be drawn somewhere, in my head its turning 40 but I just need to stick with that as it is a lot of stress and money and ultimatly, no matter how much you try for it to not to, it affects different aspects of your life continuing the journey

@Sunflower360 exactly - you put so much on hold and make so many sacrifices whilst on this journey. I feel it’s unsustainable to do it indefinitely. We’ll have tried normal stims, max stims, natural modified and mild and done fresh transfer, frozen transfer, day 3 transfer and double transfer. I think that’s every base we can cover! I’m turning 39 in May and I’m hoping to have my answer by then!

jolly86 · 22/12/2023 10:37

@Doxy21 I really hope this double transfer will work for you ❤

Reeni80 · 22/12/2023 11:17

Morning everyone,

I am so sorry to hear about some of your posts yesterday - thank you for sharing. Great that we have a community like this to support each other.
Also, thank you for recommendations on the meds.... They finally emailed me back yesterday and ordered my meds. They arrived this morning....

All beginning to feel very real now.
Trying to abstain from the vino over xmas will be hard!

Hope everyone has a positive day today x

Doxy21 · 22/12/2023 11:39

Thanks @jolly86

jolly86 · 22/12/2023 11:46

@Reeni80 sorry I didn’t see the other thread. Is this your first cycle?

Reeni80 · 22/12/2023 13:43

jolly86 · 22/12/2023 11:46

@Reeni80 sorry I didn’t see the other thread. Is this your first cycle?

Yes it is. Feeling quite nervous about it all.

Hopesandsunshine · 22/12/2023 14:04

Best of luck @Reeni80

I wish I had some magical abilities to change this for all of us, I’m really sorry @jolly86 and @Doxy21 it is such a bitter pill to swallow and take all the time you need, it is a loss none the less for the baby you imagined to have.

Its such a tough one but like you’ve said there is only so much you can do and there’s got to be a live drawn for our own sanity. For us that is after Create and I know it’ll be so difficult but like you all I’m tired of living in limbo. But I am trying my very best to stay hopeful and try and find joy and learning in this tough journey, for me it has definitely shown me that I am resilient when this gets very difficult but also need to learn to relax every once in a while and understand that I can only do what I can and that’s okay and self blame needs to stop.

Here for a chat and feel all the feels

Xxx

Sunflower360 · 23/12/2023 14:39

@jolly86 did you get any info on whay causes chemicals? My understanding was likely being an aneuploid but that was just from my inital search when I had one in the summer

@Reeni80 hope your cycle goes ok. When do you start stimulation? Are they monitoring you over the Christmas period?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 23/12/2023 17:38

@Sunflower360 my fresh cycle chemical was low progesterone. I had a chemical naturally too but don't know why I had that one.

Glad you got your meds @Reeni80

We're in a similar thought @Hopesandsunshine after these 3 cycles with Create, we're stopping trying. I hope mote than anything it works but I know if it doesn't, we couldn't have done any more or tried any harder than we have, so I feel like we an draw a line under it. It will be hard but we've spent our whole married life on this quest and most of my 30s.
Hope you're OK ❤️

I'm 10dpo today. I'm going to try and relax and enjoy the next few days. Lots of love to everyone xx

Sunflower360 · 23/12/2023 17:49

@VenusStarr thanks. With the low Progesterone did you have that tested on transfer day to check levels?

OP posts:
jolly86 · 23/12/2023 18:43

@Sunflower360 I didn’t get more info no, i think it’s aneuploid and it is more likely to be the case for us than for someone in 20s. Indeed before my first ivf, I fell pregnant naturally but it ended at week 5 and something. So for me this would make 2 chemicals ( if this cycle was indeed one which I am not sure) but I am not going to overthink now. If I have another one in the next ivf cycle then I probably need to enquire more.

Ks2023 · 24/12/2023 13:32

After long thoughts I decide I do t wanna go through another failed cycle and being crushed physiologically and emotionally every time. I decide to go for egg donor 🙏🏻 just need to speak with my husband now. Girl may be someone will be interested there is amazing clinic in Estonia called elite klinik. Donor IVF is €4840 and there is no waiting list. Also they one of not many clinics offering IVA procedures it’s for older women who have very low AMH and even who already on menopause . I’m having WhatsApp consultation with lead doctor in January and will see what’s my options. IVF, IVA or DE. I actually wanna go to DE I don’t wanna go through suffering any longer ❤️

jolly86 · 26/12/2023 15:27

@Ks2023 that sounds like a good plan ❤ I agree that the mental and physical stress, plus economical burden is just too burdensome. How many rounds have you had if you don't mind me asking?

Ks2023 · 26/12/2023 17:40

@jolly86 I had only 1 round I know it’s nothing. But I didn’t produce any eggs and only 1 follicle. Even next round I’ll profuse 1 egg it’s still need to fertilise, and survive till day 3 at least and then implant. So no point to gamble with all this numbers. I’m having consultation with clinic in Estonia 15th of January and will inquire first IVA if it’s really worth it and then we will make our decision 🙏🏻

VenusStarr · 27/12/2023 09:54

Hey, hope everyone had a peaceful Christmas. Ours was just us, not felt festive at all and it felt a bit flat.

@sunflower sorry I missed your message Yes, I had progesterone tested on transfer day which was 56 and they said was OK. I do beta bloods and it was only 20 but a very low but positive hcg which did increase then faded at 5 weeks. We added lubion in my fet to cyclogest (was on utrogesten before) and my progesterone was 144 on transfer day. It did work but I had a mmc, most likely my immunes.

@Ks2023 I hope you're doing ok.

How is everyone getting on? ❤️

I had a tiny but of spotting last night, nothing so far today, but am on track. Feeling ready but also scared. X

Sunflower360 · 27/12/2023 11:25

Thanks @VenusStarr When you say about it being your immune system that could have caused the MMC, were you on steroids or anything like that?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 27/12/2023 11:42

I have a cold again so just hope it clears in time for my Hysteroscopy next week!

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 27/12/2023 11:44

Any tips on preparing for an FET at all? Feel like the last 2 weeks have been eating and drinking all the things I shouldn't have but it's hard over Christmas! So want to get back on it, if there were any specific tips for FET that would be appreciated

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 27/12/2023 16:46

Yes @Sunflower360 I was on steroids, intralipids and hydroxychloroquine. We got a heartbeat but it stopped at 6+2. We tested the baby and they were healthy.
I hope your cold clears up.

I think for a FET, trying to walk daily and drink lots of water. Are you doing a medicated FET? X

Sunflower360 · 27/12/2023 16:53

@VenusStarr thanks for the tip. I'm not sure what FET I'll be doing, got the consultation after the Hysteroscopy report comes through. I would think natural modified or medicated FET

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 27/12/2023 18:11

I prefer medicated @Sunflower360 and my first was textbook but I stopped responding to estrogen the jext time I tried, so I'll do a low dose stim, if I need one (think they will try a fresh if we can).

VenusStarr · 28/12/2023 08:01

Good morning all. My period has arrived, bang on time. Calling the clinic soon and get myself booked in, but will start injections tomorrow. Feels like it's taken ages to get to this point!

Hope everyone is doing ok xx
