Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, currently in a 3 cycle Natural Modfied ICSI package and nearing transfer stage.

@VenusStarr they didn’t even offer blood test on the official day so I doubt. Also it’s just too much to go till there and get hopeful etc. Yours was a chemical I guess? So I am 12 days past transfer today :(

Yes, in my fresh cycle it was a chemical @jolly86 strongly suspect low progesterone. I bled heavily at 7dpt. I tested positive for a week but faintish lines and low hcg (it did triple initially) but teats faded by 16dpt.

@Doxy21 sorry to hear about your result. Was that your 8 cell grade 1 day 3 transferred? You have a blastocyst frozen if I recall?

@jolly86 could well be a chemical. Just be careful with the CB tests as they are notorious for evap lines. The FRERs are reliable. I'm surprised Create are not giving you a blood test, I thought that was standard?

@Reeni80 welcome to the group again. I would suggest calling the main number first thing in the morning too, and saying you urgently need to speak to the nursing team. Unfortunately admin is not great when contacting via the support mailbox (not sure if it goes somewhere centrally and then diverted?), but once you have a direct email address for someone it is better (I have that for my Patient Coordinator, nurse and reception now).

@Sunflower360 @Ks2023 I do feel it's a chemical and I regret not having tested earlier (maybe the line would be stronger earlier days.) Just so I could understand what is going on better. I don't feel I want to go for a blood test, although I agree they should have offered me one. I am at birmingham clinic.

@jolly86 might be worth asking as the blood test will be able to pick up of it was a chemical. Anything over 5 IU HCG confirms pregnancy-a hpt won't pick that up. I know only because I had a chemical in the summer. FRER picked it up 14 DPO but then it faded 5 days later abs blood test confirmed HCG and when it reduced.

I'm pretty sure the online package advertises pregnancy blood tests with Create

@Ks2023 so sorry for the outcome, here if you need anything as I know it must be very hard.

@jolly86 it’s so tough and there’s always going to be more questions than answers, but I like your plan about testing in the next few days and see how it goes. You could have late implantation maybe?

@Doxy21 oh gosh I’m so sorry! It’s so disappointing but hope you can find some hope and have a plan going forward but it’s tough and crap and I’m really sorry. Here if you need anything ❤️

I’m also feeling very vulnerable atm, my mum has so many appointments now that she’s got her dementia diagnosis in November and it’s starting to become overwhelming. I had three appointments for her last week whilst working and I’m hosting Xmas and it’s all feeling like a lot. Hoping that is all a passing phase and things will soon settle 🤞🏼

Thankyou so much @jolly86 it is hard now that this is our reality and she’s only 64 but also now she has a lot of support which is also amazing but atm it just feels like I’m being pulled into so many directions, but I really hope things will soon calm down 🤞🏼😊

@Hopesandsunshine that is indeed young but not unheard of nowadays unfortunately. That s good that she has good support.

I am ok I am getting used to the idea that this is a chemical. Been googling why chemical pregnancy with ivf happens.

Girls after egg collection when will I have my next period? The breakthrough bleeding is it my new period I can start new cycle? Or I need to wait my normal period after the breakthrough? I’m confused

@Ks2023 you normally bleed like 2 weeks later and you can start again straight away

@Hopesandsunshine sorry to hear you're going through that too. IVF is so full on, and with everything else going on in life it can get overwhelming. Be sure to get some support if needed, talking therapy can help

@jolly86 thank you, I’m sure in a few months these appointments will calm down and it’ll be easier to manage, I’m lucky to have my sister to help but she’s about 30 minutes away so a lot of things fall on me. Why do women have chemicals? I’d be interested to know…

@Ks2023 you have to ask your clinic but I think from what I remember you can start from next bleed.

thanks @Doxy21 I’m usually a person that takes everything in her stride but I am really struggling this week and just hope, some of the pressures ease soon. Really wish I wasn’t hosting Xmas tbh as that would be so much easier but I am and so can’t back down. How are you doing?

thanks @Sunflower360 if you or anyone can magic me some extra arms and mental space in my brain that would be grand 😂 also a new car because my car decided to pack up on me last Friday and it’ll cost a fortune to fix 😭

@Hopesandsunshine I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed 😔 you're dealing with a lot and then with the ivf on top. I hope you do get a chance to have some relaxation time over the next couple of weeks 💕

@Ks2023 are you doing a 3 cycle package? My Dr wants me to have a month off between cycles but I think if you're up for going again straight away, you probably can. Do you need a review / wtf appointment to review your protocol?

I'm struggling to sleep but I've broken up from work now until 3 January, so hopefully I can switch off a bit. Getting my haircut later too - in dire need! I was going to (box) dye my hair, but I'm having second thoughts - should I wait til after egg collection? (Am not transferring this cycle).

Sorry @jolly86 mine is here too and it feels extra awful.

i had a good cry in the shower last night and went for a beer with a friend. At least now I can enjoy Xmas and try again in new year!

I hope everyone manages to find some peace over Xmas!

@Doxy21 will you try right away? My husband is sceptical he thinks it’s just too stressful the process and doesn’t want to do it many times :(

@jolly86 we have 2 frozen. My aim is to transfer both after my period at end of Feb I think, as we have a staycation with a hot tub booked for Valentine’s Day and I want to be able to enjoy it. But I can’t remember how frozen works. Do you transfer on like day 19 of your cycle? Also gives us a bit of time to try get some money together to pay for it. But if that doesn’t work, it’s the end - we’ve used our life’s savings, tried 2 clinics, been doing ivf for 2 years, had 5 collections and will have had 4 transfers. We’ve literally done the best we can and we are lucky we have been fortunate enough to (kind of) afford it. It will be gutting if we can’t have children but need to draw a line.
