Thank you. First scan 1st Jan. Surprised they're open but it's also good. Will be cd5, hoping the meds give a good response.

What was your follicle count on your furst scan of mild @Sunflower360 ? X

Sunflower360 · 28/12/2023 10:11

@VenusStarr I had 6 follicles ranging from 6-9mm on day 5 of mild. Good that they are open on 1st Jan

Good luck @VenusStarr

jolly86 · 28/12/2023 12:16

@VenusStarr good luck exciting times 💋

Sunflower360 · 28/12/2023 14:28

@VenusStarr sorry if you've already said- are you doing a 3 cycle freeze approach and then transfer on the 3rd one?

OP posts:
Maddie23 · 28/12/2023 16:11

Good luck @VenusStarr
Hope stims go well!!

Reeni80 · 28/12/2023 21:38

Good luck @VenusStarr is this your 2nd round? Are you at St Paul’s?

btw anyone read it starts with the egg?

Hopesandsunshine · 29/12/2023 07:19

@VenusStarr best of luck! Hope it all goes well for you 😊

Jennaqua · 29/12/2023 11:47

@VenusStarr How are you doing with the B- stim.

Sunflower360 · 29/12/2023 14:07

@Reeni80 I've read ISWTE - useful to make a decision that works for you supplement wise I think. Sets out all the research so you can decide for yourself. How are you getting on?

OP posts:
jolly86 · 29/12/2023 15:29

@Reeni80 yes I did and my first IVF round I followed it a lot, that round worked. This time I didn't follow so much but just bought ubiquinol closer to my cycle, but will continue taking it along with vitamin d, and possibly E. I do believe ubiquinol is useful.

Hopesandsunshine · 29/12/2023 17:50

Anyone ever have a cyst on one side and then the other ovary is slow to grow? Had my scan today (day 6) and just got the call to say come back on Monday for another scan and then they’ll tell me what’s going on.
I think they said I have 2-3 growing on my right at 8mm but they would probably like to see them bigger at day 6. Advised to not do any gonal-f until Monday.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry lol!

Sunflower360 · 29/12/2023 19:15

@Hopesandsunshine in all my Create cycles my follicles were no bigger than 9mm by day 6 and in each cycle we got blastocysts to freeze. So do try and stay positive, it is very early days!

OP posts:
Hopesandsunshine · 29/12/2023 19:43

Awww thanks @Sunflower360 that’s so reassuring ☺️ but they don’t want me to even do any Gonal-f which is strange, just hoping my follicles grow naturally by Monday..

@Sunflower360 did your clinic get you started on stims on day 6 when they were at that size or did you have to wait?

Sunflower360 · 29/12/2023 19:48

@Hopesandsunshine in my 2nd Create cycle I was on natural modified and started stims on cycle day 8. I have found in each of my IVF cycles my follicles have a slow start but then are ok, so hopefully you will be good to go on Monday

Hopesandsunshine · 29/12/2023 21:58

@Sunflower360 thank you so much for the kind words 🫶 here’s hoping it works out on Monday 🤞🏼

VenusStarr · 30/12/2023 09:28

@Sunflower360 yes, 3 cycle package. They are planning a fresh transfer with my best embryo (still terrified I won't have any). But as I've had lining issues in the past, it might be a freeze and then low dose stim FET if they're not happy.
Scans been moved to Tuesday morning, which will be cd6.

@Hopesandsunshine I'm sorry you're in limbo again. I really hope you get positive news when you go back. Last year I had 3 cancelled cycles for a FET and it was really tough, I hope you are getting on OK the uncertainty is so hard ❤️ we're here for you x

@Jennaqua first injections last night. My dose is in 2 pens, the 150 bled and the 75 I couldn't set the dose 🤦🏻‍♀️ luckily dh was in and managed to do it, but it was really stiff. But they're done.

@Reeni80 I'm with Birmingham. This is technically my second (last year I had to do a low dose stim for a FET and we converted to a collection but only got 3 eggs and one morula on day 5 - my frozen embryo deteriorated after the thaw, so put both back and it failed). So only count that as a half as we'd done no real prep.
I'm taking NAC and ubiquinol from it starts with the egg. I've only recently added NAC but been taking ubiquinol on and off since my first miscarriage in 2019.

Thanks for the good wishes @Maddie23 @Doxy21 @jolly86 hope you're all doing ok xx

Sunflower360 · 30/12/2023 11:08

@VenusStarr hope it all goes ok! You mentioned you had lining issues, what were they? Also what led to your FET's being cancelled? Just so I know what could be a possibility with FET's as I'm hoping to go into one the period after my Hysteroscopy

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 30/12/2023 11:40

@Sunflower360 my first medicated FET was textbook, 6mg of progynova and by day 12 I was at 8mm, transfer was smooth and had a bfp. So hopefully thats what happens.

But when we were prepping to do another FET, I had a baseline scan and had suspected scarring (I'd had a d&c). Had a hysteroscopy but it was clear, so given the go ahead to start. Took 6mg progynova but first scan was thin lining, increased to 8mg next scan my lining was cloudy. Cancelled. Next time started on 8mg, first scan on thinner side, added patches, next scan thicker but faint triple layer, next scan lining shrunk and cloudy, cancelled. Next cycle tried to see what natural lining was with a view to doing a natural transfer but on cd10 I had a 20mm follicle with only a 5mm lining, cancelled. It honestly broke me, we spent from March to October trying to transfer our last embryo.
Low dose stim got me to 7.8mm but my embryos were not good. You couldn't make it up really.

I hope yours is all textbook like my first FET x

Sunflower360 · 30/12/2023 11:47

Thanks for sharing @VenusStarr I hadn't realised that FETs can be such a rollercoaster too! I definitely want to do either natural modified or medicated FET, not too keen on natural-seems to much like pot luck. Just hope I can start in time for my next cycle, I'm tracking my ovulation which is round the corner. I need to wait for the Hysteroscopy report before I can have my FET Consultation...it's cutting it fine as I could end up starting my period the week the Consultation is currently scheduled 😬 I'm pretty sure I'd need to start the steroids when my period starts too so it may all just be roo close together

OP posts:
Hopesandsunshine · 30/12/2023 15:21

Thanks so much @VenusStarr let’s hope so but it’s such a pot luck situation but I’m trying to see it from all different angles and just hope it will all work out in the end 🤞🏼

Sunflower360 · 31/12/2023 14:34

Has anyone had lubion injections for FET whilst at Create? I was hoping to discuss this in my consultation after the Hysteroscopy, just want to chuck everything at each FET to give it the best shot

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 31/12/2023 14:50

Not at create - but at Crgh I did

Sunflower360 · 31/12/2023 14:55

@Doxy21 thanks. Are you likely to have it for your next transfer?
