Ah you’ve got some good ones there’s @Sunflower360! No, no call. They said day 5/6. So I’m guessing today it wasn’t good enough to freeze but also not bad enough to throw away 🤷🏽‍♀️ I really hope it’s freezeable! Otherwise I don’t have much hope for my frozen day 3 as that’s less good.

Sunflower360 · 12/12/2023 20:41

@Doxy21 they should have still called if only to provide an update...may be worth calling first thing.

@Sunflower360 I'll be going for a medicated FET. AF has been so temperamental lately so think its best.

Sunflower360 · 12/12/2023 11:46

@Doxy21 cramps sounds positive, perhaps implantation? Fingers crossed!

Update from me... we got another 4 day 5 embryos in the freezer, so we have 6 in total and then, including the day 3, it's 7. Can't quite believe it! With low AMH, I'm happy with that. I have 3 others being monitored until tomorrow but not holiding out for those as our day 6's never have made the cut so far.

@Sunflower360 That's amazing! Really good news

Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 09:50

Thanks @FMRBEC

Update on our day 6, we have one more on the freezer a 5BB. Not had a day 6 before, I understand they are slightly lower chances, or so the embryologist explained, but still a shot I suppose.

@Doxy21 have you heard back?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 13/12/2023 10:01

@Sunflower360 yep we have a 5CC which is average and has been frozen. Not high hopes as my previous transfers were 5BB and 5CC that didn’t work. The 5CC was better at day 3 than out current frozen day 3 too. Hopefully the one we’ve transferred is the one!

Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 10:05

@Doxy21 that's good to have another in the freezer. How are you feeling at the moment? Are the cramps still there?

jolly86 · 13/12/2023 10:57

@Doxy21 congrats! I think any blastocyst is better than a day 3 in principle as you know it did reach day 5 :) Maybe my standards went down a bit as last time I had a 4bb and I was upset that it's not top quality (though it worked), now I only had day 3 embryos and would love to have a day 5 instead

Doxy21 · 13/12/2023 11:47

@jolly86 as the day 3 we transferred was better hopefully that ended up as more than an average blast.

@Sunflower360 no, no more cramping

jolly86 · 13/12/2023 11:58

@Doxy21 what was the information on this 5CC on day 3?

Hopesandsunshine · 13/12/2023 12:57

So everyone it looks as if I had ovulated before egg collection, I could feel down but I actually feel relieved as it means I haven’t spent a cycle so still have three chances.

I am going to see the positives in this and just plan and see what the new year holds 😊

jolly86 · 13/12/2023 13:16

@Hopesandsunshine that's right it's better to save your money for the next cycle when hopefully you will get better outcomes :)

Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 13:28

@Hopesandsunshine may not feel it right away but it's a good thing it got spotted. Think of it as a trial run and an opportunity for them to tweak thinga for next time without having to use an egg collection. I've had 2 abandoned cycles and although I felt rubbish at the time, looking back it was the right decision.

@jolly86 how are you feeling? Hope the TWW is going ok

OP posts:
jolly86 · 13/12/2023 14:00

@Sunflower360 thank you I am calmer but I can't really focus on things. I may test in a few days.

Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 14:09

@jolly86 appreciate that.

You may find this link useful on testing and when to if you've not already come across it:

Thanks, so it seems for me I should test 8 days post transfer as I had a day 3.

Hopesandsunshine · 13/12/2023 14:42

@Sunflower360 @jolly86 just trying to look at it from a positive perspective and also the next cycle is next month at some point so not that long to go. Actually that’s a question will I have a normal period (due 27th dec or around then) or will I have a withdrawal bleed and then a normal period?

Hope your managing okay @jolly86

Maddie23 · 13/12/2023 15:52

Hi everyone.

Hope you're all doing well!

Had my FET treatment consultation today and I asked about Embryo glue. Nurse said I could go for it if I wanted at an additional cost but will be sending over a link with more info.

Those that have an transfers, did you go for Embryo glue? Doing some research and trying to get some pros and cons!
Thanks in advance!

Doxy21 · 13/12/2023 16:40

@jolly86 the 5CC was grade 1 7 cells on day 3

@Hopesandsunshine i love your positive perspective and now you have a bit of headspace before going again

Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 18:25

@Hopesandsunshine I had a withdrawal bleed then period, at least you can relax and then then revisit in the new year

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 13/12/2023 18:26

@Maddie23 what does the FET involve at Create with number of scans/meds? Not been through it before.

I don't know much about embryo glue at all...didn't know Create did it!

OP posts:
Maddie23 · 13/12/2023 21:08

@Sunflower360 so for medicated, I've been told to be on 3x Progynova from day 2 of full flow then a scan at day 8/9. If the lining is at a good size, I'll start the progesterone pessaries (3x a day) for 5 days and then embryo transfer. If not, then a few more days then another scan. The nurse did say usually one scan is sufficient but in some cases you may have two.

They'll be thawing my day 3 and letting it get to day 5 and transferring that one. If it doesn't thaw well, then will be using my best day 5.

I asked about getting my progesterone tested as I have a short luteal phase so have always wondered if I have low progesterone. The nurse advised they can test that on transfer day and if needed, supplement that with either more pessaries or progesterone injections.

Yeah I remember reading somewhere on MN that Create doesn't do Embryo glue so wasn't going to ask but the conversation just happened. Glad I did ask! Looking at lots of videos and reading material online, I feel I might go for it...according to HFEA "it is not clear whether this add-on is effective at improving the treatment outcome" so has been marked Amber on their scale but also states it does not carry any known risks. Think I might do some more research and then decide.

Hopesandsunshine · 13/12/2023 21:22

Ahhh thanks @Doxy21 that’s the second time I’ve heard that recently. I try not to dwell but I’m not sure I’ll last that way by January 😂 might need a pick me up to get me there from you lovely ladies 😊 how many days past transfer are you now? How are you feeling?

Thanks @Sunflower360 by my calculation it’ll be mid to end January hopefully with everything looking good 🤞🏼

Ahhh good luck @Maddie23 sounds promising hope it all works out for you and I think I’ve heard good things about embryo glue and like you I’ve heard good things and no real known risks.

Doxy21 · 13/12/2023 21:42

We’re all here for you @Hopesandsunshine! very helpful having people with similar experiences. I’m 3dp3dt - so hopefully there’s a blastocyst in me now. I know I’m going to be looking out for implantation bleeding as everyone goes on about it but only like a quarter of women get it?!
