@Hopesandsunshine you'll defo have us for a pick me up but I'm sure you'll be fine!

Thank you! Hoping for mid January but all depends if AF plays ball.

Hopesandsunshine · 14/12/2023 10:31

Ahhhh ladies that definitely put a smile on my face and feel lucky to have you all to understand this brutal journey 🥹☺️🙌🏽

I have everything crossed for you Both @Doxy21 @jolly86

Sounds promising @Maddie23 and like a good plan.

Have you got a date for your hysteroscopy? @Sunflower360

The nurse called yesterday and said briefly what the plan would be is: they would potentially scan me over the weekend at a different clinic if needed and move the egg collection a day or two earlier to prepare for next time. So that sounds promising too!

gemso2020 · 14/12/2023 11:24

@Hopesandsunshine Really sorry to hear you ovulated early, this happened to me also back in October. As others have said, it's pretty devastating at the time, but both you and the doctors will learn from it, so definitely don't think it's a waste! For me, I definitely learnt to listen to my own body, and speak up if something doesn't feel right (I knew I was ovulating but kept being assured I couldn't be), the doctors adjusted my treatment plan accordingly (eg removing Luveris as this can bring up LH, and putting me on double cetrotide for future cycles). Anyway, hope you aren't too down - I know it's so disappointing.

@Sunflower360 What a fab outcome from your collection, hope your hysteroscopy goes well.

@Doxy21 @jolly86 everything crossed for you ladies! 🤗

Sunflower360 · 14/12/2023 11:39

Thanks @gemso2020 @Hopesandsunshine hysteroscopy is on the 4th January

Ahh thanks @gemso2020 that’s really reassuring to hear. Did you start at the next bleed or did you start on your second bleed? Good to know about double Cetrotide might ask about that when I have my review with the doctor. I didn’t have luveris - what is this? I had just gonal f and Cetrotide. How are you getting on? Did you do 3 cycles of natural modified as well?

Ahhh that’s good not long to go @Sunflower360

Sunflower360 · 14/12/2023 11:59

@Hopesandsunshine I started after my cancelled cycle in my withdrawal bleed but then I abandoned the cycle after 5 days of stims. With you getting through Cetrotide I'm not sure if perhaps, as it was further along, that you may need to wait for the period. Could be worth asking if you could start during withdrawal bleed?

thank you @gemso2020 @Hopesandsunshine

@Doxy21 I felt different when doing my utrogestan- like it is harder to do it now, and then I read online and it says after ovulation uterus gets harder (unless conceived).. :( so it made me a bit hopeless. did you notice any changes?

Doxy21 · 14/12/2023 12:51

@jolly86 i haven’t noticed anything different but to be honest I wouldn’t know what I’m looking out for!

jolly86 · 14/12/2023 12:53

@Doxy21 I just felt it’s a bit tighter to put the utrogestan 😞

Doxy21 · 14/12/2023 12:54

Oh @jolly86 but that could be any number of things! :) I really do not think that’s anything to worry about

jolly86 · 14/12/2023 16:44

@Doxy21 hopefully. Do you know when you want to test? The clinic's date for me 22 is way too late. Of course I won't wait till then

Doxy21 · 14/12/2023 17:23

@jolly86 our test date is 21st for a blood test. I’m going to test that morning at home to be prepared I think. Is yours an at home test on 22nd?

jolly86 · 14/12/2023 17:45

@Doxy21 yes just a home urine test.

gemso2020 · 14/12/2023 18:12

@Hopesandsunshine I started on the second bleed, I had done 14 days of stims at quite a high dose, so made sense to give the body a break for a month. Luveris was to help LH I think, I never heard anyone else ever mention it, anyway I'm off it now. Hopefully, you'll know more after your Dr consult, but I was told when you have a low reserve , your inherent hormones are higher to make body ovulate, and this can override the cetrotide. I've done mild so far, but switching to natural modified in January and hoping for some better results!

Ks2023 · 15/12/2023 11:05

Just had my second scan on a day 6 and I have only 1 follicle already 14mm and another one is 8mm and the 3 rd one didn’t grow at all 😩 I even didn’t start my stims yet. Just waiting my blood results. My understanding is 14mm is already too big? Is it even point now to carry on at all?

Sunflower360 · 15/12/2023 12:03

@Ks2023 14mm is on the smaller end of possible maturity, they say 15mm-25mm is ok for a mature egg so you've got scope for the others to catch up a bit with Cetrotide mixed in. What dose were you on? I had this issue in my first NHS egg collection as I was on max doses, I found 150 Gonal-F was better since being with Create

OP posts:
Ks2023 · 15/12/2023 12:10

@Sunflower360 im still not using anything. They told me they call me today to let me know when to start take medication. Atm it’s 150 gonal f as well they told me plus Cetrotide I’m gonna start taking everything together on the same day. Just waiting blood results. How many days you think I have before egg collection? Have another scan tomorrow 🙏🏻

VenusStarr · 15/12/2023 14:54

Just catching up.

@Hopesandsunshine I'm so sorry you ovulated early but I'm glad they checked and that you're generally feeling OK about it ❤️

@Sunflower360 I'm so pleased you have so many embryos and that you have your hysteroscopy booked.

My meds came today 😬 but am pissed off at the clinic. For some reason they've sent through utrogesten (that I've not requested or paid for as 1. I'm not doing a transfer and 2. Utrogesten is not part of my plan, I'll be on lubion and cyclogest). So I thought I'd tell them, and they've not called, just sent me an invoice saying I have to pay. But I never asked for it and I won't use it! So now it looks like I owe them money, when they're in the wrong. So annoying. Like you said before @Sunflower360 you have to scrutinise everything. It wasn't like this before. My anxiety is awful at the moment so I'm paranoid they won't let me start unless I pay for the stupid medication that I don't want or need.

@Ks2023 are you doing natural modified? What cycle day are you?

Hope you are both feeling ok @Doxy21 @jolly86 ❤️

Sunflower360 · 15/12/2023 16:30

@Ks2023 egg collection is usually around CD 12-14 @VenusStarr that's really frustrating, I always check the delivery invoice before confirming the booking-shouldnt have to do it, but I do it just because I know the adming side can slip. The clinic shouldn't be expecting payment with it being their error, so hopefully they can rectify and reimburse, it is certainly possible and they have done it

OP posts:
Ks2023 · 15/12/2023 16:42

I’m gonna start gonal f tonight and tomorrow morning Cetrotide before scan and Monday Tuesday gonna have egg collection. So it’s very early for me day 9 or 10 my egg collection. Probably because my FSH is so high that why my follicle is growing so fast. Normally women with high FSH have very early ovulation

Ks2023 · 15/12/2023 16:51

@VenusStarr yes hun natural modified for me 🙏🏻 fingers crossed it works

VenusStarr · 15/12/2023 17:05

@Ks2023 that's interesting. Glad you gave a plan 🙏
I ovulate early on day 10, have done since I came off the pill, so have 24/25 days cycles but my fsh is about 5/6.

Thank you @Sunflower360 it wasn't on my invoice originally but they delivered it today. So I checked and then they just emailed me the invoice! It's taken 2 phone calls and 3 emails but they've taken it off now and said not to worry. Such a faff. And now I've got these meds that I don't need 🙄

Doxy21 · 15/12/2023 20:03

@Ks2023 im glad you’ve got a plan in place 🤞🏽

Sunflower360 · 16/12/2023 11:21

@jolly86 @Doxy21 how are you both getting on with tww?

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 16/12/2023 11:38

@Sunflower360 im ok. No symptoms aside from period pain type fleeting things that I wouldn’t notice if I wasn’t in the tww. I’m just so impatient! Like @jolly86 the pessaries are seeking more difficult to use I think. How are you?
