I'm 38, currently in a 3 cycle Natural Modfied ICSI package and nearing transfer stage.

Congratulations who had their egg transfer and who just about to have it today I’m so so so pleased for you all ❤️ praying for xmass miracle. My period started today and I’m just sitting here crying my eyes out 🥹 I think I’m so not ready for my IVF I think about things I could’ve do differently and may be more healthier. I still have 1 coffee per day and gonna stop from today. Did you do anything differently between different cycles and seen different results?

@Sunflower360 sorry i missed your update that's amazing news congrats!! Were you doing a freeze cycle?

@jolly86 yep freeze all due to needing a Hysteroscopy, so I'm hoping to do a FET which will hopefully start end of Jan.

@Ks2023 that's good, will you have egg collection just before Christmas? I followed the Mediterranean diet, decaffeinated tea/coffee, no alcohol during IVF stimulation (minimal amounts even not stimulating) and a mixture of supplements

@Sunflower360 I don’t drink at all. Do take some supplements like vit D, folic acid, ubiquinol, omega 3, alpha lipo luv acid, melatonin. I just think I been eating so bad this days, to be honest I hardly been eating from all this stress

@Ks2023 know it's hard but do try and keep your energy up and good food is important to get nutrients, perhaps try some therapies reflexology for the stress? I found that really relaxing

Hope it's okay to join this thread. I'm also with Create Fertility and I've just had a FET. Wondering if there's anyone else going through their 2 week wait too?

@FMRBEC 👋 Hi! Yep there are a couple going through 2WW at the moment. What stage are you at? Is this your first transfer?

@FMRBEC welcome. I am in 2ww after a Saturday transfer. When did you get your transfer? Are you feeling hopeful? I can’t say I am , I had a grade 2 and grade 3 day 3 transferred.

Hi @FMRBEC yes I had a day 3 fresh transfer yesterday. Blood test date is 21st

Is it that when it doesn’t work period comes before the test day or can it be late due to treatment?

Are you all on Progesterone? I was not sure if that supresses the period from starting regardless of result

@Sunflower360 yes I am doing the utrogestan. I think you are right

Oh wow I’ve missed so much! Good luck to everyone having transfers/collections/in their two week wait! Currently sunning my self on a 2 week holiday and trying not to think about IVF too much (secretly praying to become one of those JUST RELAX cliches). Resuming at end of Jan for 3rd and final cycle.
Hope all goes OK for you all and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some Christmas miracles in this lovely group xx

@Sunflower360 Yes, this is my first frozen transfer. I had to have a freeze all cycle as they noticed polyps so I had to have hysteroscopy first and have them removed.

@jolly86 I had transfer on Thursday. My test dates 18th. Really anxious

@FMRBEC I've had the exact same situation! Just had egg collection last week, was hoping to do a freah transfer but they noticed polyps so I'm having a Hysteroscopy in the new year to then hopefully have a FET in that next period. How did you find the Hysteroscopy?

Also what type of FET did you have? Did you have your embryo tested?

Had my scan today and we’ve booked in for egg collection of 1 or 2 follicles / eggs for Wednesday morning but starting to feel worried. I got a call from the nurse to say my LH has jumped up from 3 to 25 I think she said so she’s worried I might ovulate early!

Never had this before so told to trigger tonight and try naturally in case it is gone by the time Wednesday rolls around but I’m feeling quite lost and anxious about this all!

Does anyone have any stories of ovulating early in an IVF cycle? I think I remember reading it somewhere here was it @HopefulElle but I can’t be sure, sorry if it wasn’t you.

@Hopesandsunshine good news about egg collection but completely get your worry about the LH, that has gone up a lot. Is that with Cetrotide? Do you know what your levels were when you started it? Yep it was @HopefulElle who had that situation happen. You may want to ask about whether they can do any checks before going ahead to egg collection to see if there are follicles to extract -if you can it would mean you could use that collection for another occasion, whereas once its done regardless of collecting eggs it is classed as a collection

Thanks @Sunflower360 so my LH was 3 on Friday and now it’s jumped to 23 or 25 (can’t remember which one) so nurse is worried I’m about to have an LH surge.

She did say that they will always scan before egg collection in the day which is good but I fear there’s always a risk that it might look good and then I’ll ovulate and my sizes are 19 and 17.

I am just really worried that even though my first cycle will be ‘safe’ I’ll still lose money on the drugs and scans, which isn’t cheap as you all know.

I’m trying to stay positive but I don’t know what to think 🥹

@Sunflower360 I was really worried about hysteroscopy but it went really well thankfully. It was under general anaesthetic so I didn't feel a thing and I felt well enough to go back to work the next day too! In my last scan I had before FET, they did say they can see scarring which is from the hysteroscopy though. I hope yours goes really well too.

I did a medicated FET. No, I didn't have my embryo tested

@Hopesandsunshine it is hard, I've had two abandoned cycles but overall it'll be worth it as they can then tweak things next time round to learn from that cycle

@FMRBEC what caused the scarring? Assuming it was fine to proceed to FET?

Had my first scan today. Only 3 follicles 😢 I did hope I’ll grow magically more this month but I didn’t unfortunately. Done my bloods as well. Do I wait now for them to let me know when to start medication? My next scan will be on day 6 only on Friday

@Ks2023 what cycle day are you? Are you doing natural modified? I'm due to start meds on day 2 and my first scan will be day 5 or 6, depending on how the days fall, so just wondering as yours seems different to mine.

@Hopesandsunshine did they not recommend another cetrotide? Similar happened in my cycle last year, I don't know what my lh level was but I took a fyremadel on trigger day but I did lose mu biggest follicle. They checked in theatre but I still had 3 follicles, so we went ahead. It is unnerving to not know if it will go ahead.

Thanks so much for the positivity @Sunflower360 and @VenusStarr my largest follicle is measuring 19mm today, so I’m not sure if that is what they’re looking for on day off trigger or not?

I’m intrigued too as the nurse didn’t suggest taking Cetrotide tomorrow which I did ask but she instead she suggested to take just one trigger of Ovitrelle rather than 2 so maybe that might help?

@Ks2023 3 follicles sound good and when you simulate you might find you have more than that.

@Hopesandsunshine sorry I cannot recall did you say you were on mild pr natural modfied? Mild trigger is at 19mm with 1 Ovitrelle and natural modified its 17mm with 2 Ovitrelle (although mine got decreased in the 1st Create cycle as my estrogen waa higher than they expected for natural modfied)

@Sunflower360 I’m doing natural modified and only have two follicles large enough this cycle which are 19 and 17 the nurse said and in the call this evening she said to only do one 250iu Ovitrelle rather than 2 which was the original plan.

i wonder if it all changes based on your LH rather than follicle sizes? Strange because at my previous clinic they never did my bloods at each scan like they do here at Create and just based everything off my follicle sizes but I did use buserelin (suprecur) instead of Cetrotide but I imagine they just all do the same thing? Or does it affect everyone differently?

I’m literally second guessing everything right now 😩
