I'm 38, currently in a 3 cycle Natural Modfied ICSI package and nearing transfer stage.

@jolly86 yep with Create, that was a natural modified cycle. They talked about transfers today and we've decided to thaw the frozen day 3 when we come to do FET-if it gets to day 5 and is good grade we'll transfer it, if its not great it'll be refrozen (understand this is fine as it would have progressed) and if it's completely rubbish it'll get discarded. Either way aim os to transfer a day 5 when it comes to FET

@VenusStarr thanks, how many of yours fertilised out of your 7? I'm not expecting the same ratios as my previous cycles and anticipate some may be immature or may fail to fertilise but we shall see what happens

Only 3 of the 7 fertilised but they were all AA embryos by day 5 @Sunflower360 its so hard to predict how things will go.

If it helps @jolly86 i had a day 3 transfer that was successful (it was an ectopic but it did implant) so it can be successful and I’ve read lots of stories of day 3 embryos turning into healthy babies ❤️

@Sunflower360 and @Doxy21 good luck for your day 1 updates, what’s a hysteroscopy by the way? @Doxy21 did you do ICSI?

Got my scan tomorrow will update when I know more but I think for now there are two good sized follicles 😊

@Hopesandsunshine hysteroscopy is when they check the lining of the womb, think they put fluid and a camera up there and then do any procedures like remove polyps or fibroids, they can also take biopsies for further investigations

Update from me- all 7 fertilised 🥹, can't believe it, will see what the day 3 update brings

That’s amazing @Sunflower360 3 of my 4 were mature and 2 fertilised

Just a note on Estradiol levels to all, I would suggest asking about these when you have bloods as they can be indicative of number of eggs you may get, I was using this cycle as an experiment so thought I'd share once I had the EC. My levels were around 7000 at trigger and I got 7 mature eggs so the 1000 per mature follicle would make sense

@Doxy21 that is good, hope your day 3 update goes ok, are you still transferring on Sunday?

Also just a note in relation to AMH...mine was 4.3 in the summer with starting AFC of 3-4 so it is possible to get more eggs in a cycle

my eustrogen Was 5000 but 4 were mature according to what they said so I m not so sure? I also worry that the lead follicle didn’t fertilise 😣@Doxy21 that s good too like mine, one wasn’t mature and one didn’t fertilise.

@VenusStarr can i learn what happened to your fertilization and embryo outcome when you lost your lead follicle and 3 eggs were collected?

Hi @jolly86 all 3 fertilised but one was abnormal. By day 3, one was 8 cells, the other was 6 with high fragmentation. By day 5, we just had one early blast. It was a mirula when they called Mr first thing but by the time we got there, it had starting compacting. We defrosted my 3AA but it degenerated abd had some dying cells, so put both back but it was a bfn.

Ooh @Sunflower360 nearly missed your update! Fab news 🥰 how does this compare to your natural modified cycles? Keeping everything crossed for day 3 🙏

@VenusStarr ohh that s not promising. I am not feeling great as I feel my lead follicle is one that didn’t fertilise and I believe at my amh level I can’t really produce more than one good egg. I can’t help thinking I triggered too late. Do you think they had kept you too long in that case? Was that with create or elsewhere?

@VenusStarr thanks. 1st natural modified I got 5 eggs (4 of which were mature, 3 fertilised, the other degenerated-we got a day 5 and a 12 cell grade 2 day 3 from this) and then my 2nd natural modified I had 2 eggs of which both fertilised (got a day 5 from this, the other never got past 5 cell's).

@jolly86 yeah it could be perhaps there were smaller follicles that took it up to a higher value perhaps?

@Sunflower360 the natural modified also with create and have you frozen these embryos in your 3 cycle package?

@jolly86 yes all 3 cycles with Create and yes their all frozen, so will aim to put the 'best' one in...of course will not know what the best one is based on grading.... when we spoke to the embryologist yesterday she didn't sound too keen on PGTA and suggested good embryos could get discarded (I sensed her view was that they testing is still developing), so I'm happy to just transfer and see what happens-find out one way or another

@Sunflower360 that sounds very promising I agree about the testing I think you should just try the best looking embryo and one of them will work surely

@Sunflower360 can I ask if you’ve done ICSI each of your rounds at create? I only ask because like you I had okay but poor fertilisation at my previous clinic so riveting of ICSI would be the best way forward or keep it conventional…p.s - well done on your results! That’s amazing news!

anyone else have any ideas on ICSI or conventional IVF?

@Hopesandsunshine we've had ICSI in all our 3 Create cycles. In our NHS cycle it was IVF and that led to no fertilisation of the 2 eggs so for me I wouldn't do anything but ICSI. Still not sure if any will turn into pregnancies but either way ICSI has led us the furthest we've got through this process so far

My OH's sample has been good too so IVF on the surface would appear to have been an ok option but for whatever reason did not work in our NHS round. I can't be sure if the eggs were not good (it was a max stims cycle) but whatever happened I feel more reassured by ICSI as it gives it the best shot

Good morning everyone. So I am having my transfer today, 11 cell grade 2 day 3 embryo. Other two are 5 and 7 cells, grade 3. Not feeling great about it and thinking of the next steps.

@VenusStarr thank you ❤of course there is some chance but i don't think a lot. Does anyone know about day 3 embryos? It says 6-10 cells is good does that mean it's too fast at 11?

You're making me think maybe we should just try icsi @Sunflower360 our Dr said he thinks we'll be ok with ivf. Got a bit of time to ponder... how are you doing?

I got a call from Stork yesterday about my meds but apparently there was a discrepancy on the prescription, think it's the antibiotics. But I had a dream that they couldn't get my meds to me in time and I had to put off starting until January. Loving the ivf anxiety 😅
