@MrsMotts We're on very similar timescales, yesterday was day 4 of stims for me. I'm on max dose of ovaleap due to lower amh, and more importantly, age!

My first tracking scan is on Wednesday, when is yours?

TTCMama17 · 21/08/2023 11:13

@ttcsolomumtobe sorry to hear of your result but know that you’re not alone. We’re all here to support you through the journey.

Thank you for everyone sending the luck. Had my scan, lining needed to be 7mm and it was 11.36mm so that’s good! Will get a call later today or tomorrow for when transfer will be xx

@TTCMama17 Amazing news!! 11mm is something I could only dream of 😂😅Assume you're doing natural? Or have you had meds to get it to that?

Ellenn · 21/08/2023 12:20

@ttcsolomumtobe im so sorry to hear the news I had really hoped it would be a positive for you it just sounded so hopeful to me 😢 after my last transfers I definitely had to step away from the forums a bit to give myself time. Spa day sounds lovely, look after yourself 😘 xxx

TTCMama17 · 21/08/2023 14:07

@GCS34 - aha! I don't think I'd ever be able to get that lining without meds. I'm on Elleste Solo (2mg), I will need to start taking progesterone just before transfer. Still not sure when that will be.

How are you doing?

@TTCMama17 Haha phew - I felt hugely incompetent then thinking you did that naturally! 😅How long have you been on the estrogen? I have our planning apt on Friday to discuss protocol and drugs etc, but interested to know what I should 'expect' time wise. Are they not happy with your lining then to transfer now? Are they carrying you on?

I'm good just patiently (not patiently at all) waiting for my FET planning meeting Friday to figure out the crack. I'm hopeful that the TF will be EO sept, but I'm feeling like this is a bit optimistic. 😥

Hi, just a quick update. Dr has just called me (even though appointment was for Thursday only, so I started panicking).. all 8 eggs were mature and fertilised, 4 got to blastocysts and all were biopsied for PGTA 🙏 She needs to know if to send them (package was min 4) or we want to wait for next EC..
Test will last 4-6 weeks, I am planning to do another as odds of getting a normal genetically not on my side (41 now)
What do you think, should I send? If next time i have less then would do another or just send.. Wasn't ready for this outcome, she said grading is average though, not great but doesn't mean they are abnormal

Hey everyone, happy Monday!
Been lurking a bit as I've found starting stims more emotionally hard than I realised I would. I've enjoyed keeping up with all of your journeys the highs and lows. I know what it feels like to feel alone in this so its nice that we all have this place to vent.
I'm on day 8 of a mild stims cycle so not long to go now, I have 26 follicles so they've reduced my bemfola from 150 to 125 which I'm disappointed by tbh. I don't want to risk OHSS but I obviously want max chance of success so I don't know how to feel really. Otherwise the process has been surprisingly fine, just the emotional side of things has been tough really.

TTCMama17 · 21/08/2023 19:48

@GCS34 aha! Don’t worry I definitely need the meds to help with my lining. So my transfer is officially booked in for next Tuesday and I have to start my Cylogest pessasaries this Thursday. It’s all starting to feel really real now!!!

so from my first day of period to transfer it’s been 3 weeks - so not a long process at all. My last cycle failed with a C+ embryo and I have 2cs left. Xx

kirstysmbc · 21/08/2023 20:10

@TTCMama17 will you do a single transfer, or would you consider a double? I'm way too old to be in the 34 club so I was advised two, but not sure what the guidance is for you young whippersnappers!

KG1244 · 21/08/2023 21:22

@Lolly2507 welcome to the group. I completely feel the same. I’ve found it quite emotionally draining injecting myself twice a day and just hoping I will get the outcome I’m praying for. I wouldn’t take it as a bad thing if they reduced it, I think it’s always a bit trial and error working out the right dosage. Do you know when your EC will be?

OP posts:
KG1244 · 21/08/2023 21:25

@TT82 such a tricky situation. Are you hopping up and down to get a transfer ASAP? I think financially it would probably make sense to wait if there is no extra cost to test more but would you be prepared to wait 2-3 months emotionally?

ASGIRC · 21/08/2023 23:22

@ttcsolomumtobe Im so sorry the result wasnt the expected.
Be kind to yourself and enjoy your break in September!!!

TTCMama17 · 22/08/2023 00:26

@kirstysmbc - I think we’ll do a double transfer. The clinic has warned of multiple pregnancies but I’m happy with twins if we’re lucky enough! So both em babies will be put back in next Tuesday.

how’s your cycle going?xx

Thank you :) it's so nice to not feel alone in this all on here. I think my EC will be Friday but will confirm tomorrow at my scan eeek I'm nervous but at least I'll have the long weekend to rest if I need it etc. More nervous about the result than the procedure tbh dreading being told bad news

@KG1244 hi, the way they operate- you pay for 4 embryos as a minimum and then per each additional. So if only next time I have less (which is highly likely too) then either to wait for 3d EC or just to pay more.. No we won't do transfer soon, as we will be lucky if at least 1 is normal. We decided to send as maybe results will help to adjust stimulation next time, they want to increase, but I worry it will impact a quality. Unfortunately I have outgrown the popular here age group 🙈

kirstysmbc · 22/08/2023 07:59

@TTCMama17 Good luck! My daughter came from a double transfer cycle.

This cycle is going ok so far I think, but difficult to tell until first scan, which is tomorrow morning. The bruising has stopped at least, so one positive thing!!

kirstysmbc · 22/08/2023 08:03

@TT82 Fingers crossed for great results from the four you've sent off, and for a good number in your next cycle.

I can only afford this cycle of egg collection, and at 43 will def test if I get a few. Luckily my clinic charges per embryo, although I suspect it's more expensive that way. If I only get one or two I'll prob just transfer anyway and hope for the best...

KG1244 · 22/08/2023 10:03

Hi all, looking for some advice/reassurance

managed to hurt my back yesterday and panicking slightly as I have my embryo transfer on Thursday. Do you think this could affect the outcome? My thinking was that my body could be more focused on repairing my back muscles than implanting an embryo. Or am I being ridiculous? I never hurt my back what are the bloody chances?!

Aww no hope you're OK. I don't think it should affect your transfer but maybe give the clinic a call and get them to reassure you. They will probably just say be careful of the type of pain killers or meds you take for back pain. Try and rest up. Hope it feels better soon and good luck for your transfer

@TTCMama17 That's so exciting and a double transfer! Have the clinic said they're happy for that? So much luck for the 2 of them! Are they both the exact same stage and grade etc? I'm pleased it's starting to feel exciting now!

Ah okay, so I don't have periods due to lean pcos, so I will likely just random start which is what I did with my stims previously. So end of Sept isn't too unrealistic then

@kirstysmbc It's just so expensive isn't it? And it comes to a point where you have to draw a line and say enough, otherwise you're going to spend the rest of your life in limbo, and paying off debt! Fingers crossed this is the one though for you! Will you test them all, what about if you have maybe 1 or 2?

TTCMama17 · 22/08/2023 11:28

@GCS34 definitely nervous as well as excited. Clinic is happy to do a double transfer. One embryo is c graded and the other is yet to reach full blastocyst state but is looking really good just a little slow. The clinic is hopefully that at least one of them will stick.

I also suffer from pcos and have no periods! I took Noresthisterone to induce a bleed then once period started it was about 3 weeks from then to transfer. Not a long process at all!

TT82 · 22/08/2023 11:39

@kirstysmbc thank you!!
I also had/still have some doubts re testing all blastocysts and then not even come to a transfer... but then I remind myself all cp :(
I think we will check the next too if I have any and then we would need to decide..either abroad or DE or just close it

@TTCMama17 oh that's even more exciting! 1 week today - woohoo! Sounds positive for sure.
Do you have periods at all? As I haven't had a 'natural' period for about 3 years, only those from treatment. They said to me that I would do a random start - wonder why you were given a bleed then start? What clinic out of interest as I know a lot have their own rules etc.

KG1244 · 22/08/2023 12:15

@Belle26 thank you so much! Feels like it’s come round so quick.
the nurse said that the pain is probably down to the progesterone 😂 so that’s comforting to know!
