@MrsMotts I love your mindset🩵so sorry you’re out but enjoy that glass of wine or a few, glow up and get ready for the best Christmas present🤞🤞

Lowo21 · 18/09/2023 06:29

@ASGIRC @CB2805 thank you so much for the comforting words. I am back to work today ...(just took a few days working from home) boo but hoping it will take my mind away from it a bit and then this last week will be over !
@CB2805 I think what I am learning (and also from you 😋) is that nothing you feel in these two weeks means anything typical we are all unique so each symptom could mean totally different for us all.. arrgggh it's driving me loopy but I can see what you are saying too and we just gotta wait for the OTD one way or another it will be clear there! Thank you again for your support !

Jellyfish1956 · 18/09/2023 10:10

I'm sorry to hear it was negative @MrsMotts, I'm keeping everything crossed for a extra special Christmas gift for you. I love the idea of a facial treatment - I am going to copy you!

@Lowo21 I agree, the TWW is the worst! But you're almost there and I'm sending all the positive vibes your way.

@GCS34 woohooo about your lining! Hopefully by the end of tomorrow you will know when your transfer will be 🤞🏻🤞🏻

GCS34 · 18/09/2023 10:56

MrsMotts · 16/09/2023 22:47

So as predicted all negative today - pessaries stopped and just waiting for AF!
I’ve done a rough calculation of dates (clinic want me to have a period and then go again in the next cycle) and all being well, next collection/transfer will be around mid - December. So maybe a nice christmas present if all goes well!

Hope you’re all ok xx

@MrsMotts Really sorry your news wasn't the one you and all of us wanted. But your mindset is really admirable. It's really good that they're happy for you to get going straight away. Are you using your withdrawal bleed now as your period, then going again after you've stopped your period? That's great if so!

@IVFAlone They're absolutely fine! Step awayyyyyyyyyy from the tests lady! Honestly, as so many have already said, theirs a limit on how dark they can go. Take the win (and save your money!) and focus on the scan in 3 weeks. 😊

@Jellyfish1956 thank you darling! I am hoping those little orange pills are going to make me a baby soon! 😂

Question @ All - anyone whos on a big ish dose of Oestrogen (I'm on 12mg for context), had any nausea and sickness? I've woken up today feeling a bit nauseous, and I've now actually been sick too. I know that sickness is a symptom, especially on high doses, just wondered. Also I took my 2 x morning Oestrogen around 9:45am, and was sick about 10:30am. Do you think I need to retake them?

Jellyfish1956 · 18/09/2023 11:27

@GCS34 I wasn't on as high a dose as you (I think the max I was on was 10mg) but it did make me feel super nauseous - I was never sick but felt it! I found it helpful to take them with food. How are you feeling about your scan tomorrow. I am just on my way to the clinic for my follow-up appointment after the failed FET. We shall see what they say.

@CB2805 it's so so hard once you start to feel familiar twinges, but they could be a good thing too. Hang on in there! 🩵

girljulian · 18/09/2023 11:55

Hello everyone, I can't remember whether I've posted on this thread before or not but have been reading along! I have a question: my fertility clinic says "do not use a digital test". Does anyone know why? Does your clinic say that?

@Jellyfish1956 Thanks hun - that is reassuring! I haven't felt like I could be sick until today, but I feel a million times better since, which I guess is good? in a weird bitter sweet way 😅I'm a bit worried about my scan to be honest. I know it probably is dumb, but I just worry because I remember someone saying on here that they got to 6mm then just stopped developing, despite being on high doses, and I just fret that is going to happen to me! Did yours respond well on the 10mg?

Great that you're ready to get going again, but sorry it's off the back of a failed round. Was that your first transfer? Or have you had previous? Remind me - you have a few in the bank don't you, so you don't need to start a fresh cycle?

Hope it goes okay - let me know how you get on 😘

Probably because CB tests are notoriously unreliable. The week indicators in particular seem to cause all sorts of worries when they dont progress as they should!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 18/09/2023 15:37

I’m really sorry @MrsMotts Flowers

AF is due Friday so I am finally going to get going again!

Jellyfish1956 · 18/09/2023 15:44

@GCS34 😂 better out than in I guess!
It was me who had the lining that stopped at 6mm 😅 so the high doses didn't help, but I don't think that's the case for everyone. My body just doesn't like external oestrogen and responds much better to its own. I am sure you will be ok tomorrow - let me know how it goes 🩵
Yes, it was my first transfer. I have 10 left in the freezer so hoping one of them is going to do something. Appointment went ok - the consultant said it was probably just bad luck that it didn't work - which is good in some ways and really frustrating in others. But I'm good to go again when my period starts later this week.

@Hopingforno2in2023 I think we will be on a similar timeline

@Jellyfish1956 ahaaha awkward! 😂Awkward!! 🙈Sorry for bringing that back up after you had the positive news today on restarting! And thank you - I shall. I hope I am reporting back with an update on starting the pessaries (again, bitter sweet!)

That's good that it was just shit luck that it wasn't the one for you. In a way that's actually reassuring, well, it is for me. So are you going again off your withdrawal then? Pleased you're going to be starting again shortly! And you're on a medicated natural right?

IVFAlone · 18/09/2023 18:10

Hi all! Thank you for your reassuring messages about my tests. I won’t lie and say I’ve stopped testing because I absolutely cannot stop.

I have however got a bad lower back pain today and some general tummy ache! Not really cramping. Is this normal? I’m around 5w4days I think..

Lowo21 · 18/09/2023 18:48

@IVFAlone I'm not sure this group will be able to support you the best now you are much further along than many on here and many dream about. I had a quick look and there are quite a few threads until the search "IVF due in May 2024" that may be able to answer your questions better than here. Hope this helps !

Hopingforno2in2023 · 18/09/2023 19:28

I’m sorry that you are experiencing such anxiety @IVFAlone, it may be worth talking to your clinic about it, they may be able to offer a counsellor or other support.

@Jellyfish1956 unfortunately I have to prime for an entire cycle with testosterone so I think you will be ahead of me :)

Lowo21 · 18/09/2023 19:37

@Hopingforno2in2023 that's a really good idea, the clinic you are with @IVFAlone will likely have a good counselling support service, it may be worth enquiring 😊

GCS34 · 18/09/2023 22:55

Just realised we’re close to hitting the post limit on this thread! How did that happen so fast?!

Lowo21 · 19/09/2023 06:29

@GCS34 new thread time? We are also closer to Oct 😂🤣

@Lowo21 god that’s scary! Mad that I think I started stims on July 17th, and it’s now half way through September and still not transferred. Can see how it can suddenly absorb years of your life can’t you!

Jellyfish1956 · 19/09/2023 07:59

@GCS34 yes, going off my withdrawal bleed - which actually started this morning! Luckily I managed to get hold of the drugs for the modified natural yesterday, so will start them tomorrow. Good luck for your scan today!!

TT82 · 19/09/2023 08:49

Hi all, was quietly following all news here, while waiting for PGTA results. Unfortunately all 4 abnormal, different combinations of trisomy abnormalities, don't have report and don't remember which ones, but dr said a definite no go for transfer 😔 Next collection end of November.. How do you decide when to stop? It was my first one, I am 41 with good reserve but not quality

IVFAlone · 19/09/2023 10:35

Didn’t realise I could outgrow a group but thanks for the input.

KG1244 · 19/09/2023 11:09

@TT82 so sorry to hear this. Please take good care of yourself. I really don’t want to cause you any further upset and I’m also not very aware of what PGT testing involves but Sir Robert Winston (ivf pioneer) has a very interesting view on it which might be worth reading about - basically he isn’t convinced by it. He is rather blunt in what he says so just bare that in mind. I found some of what he wrote quite hard to read at times (emotionally) so make sure you’re in the right headspace if you’re going to spend time reading all his advice. https://genesisresearchtrust.com/askrobert-questions-and-answers/how-reliable-is-pgs-testing/
Sending you lots of love x

@KG1244 thank you for your support! 🙏

Yes I did watched his videos and read the website. I see the logic etc, but still decided to do testing (and ivf for it) to speed up the search of that good egg.... I had lots of chemicals and thought that with testing at least I will be going through not just one egg at a time.. My dr was also surprised that none of 4 were normal.. Also I hoped that now process of testing is better and improved.. 😔

kirstysmbc · 19/09/2023 12:19

@TT82 I'm really sorry that the results weren't what you were hoping for, and hopefully you'll have better luck next round.

My embryologist also mentioned that the HFEA are going to be changing the rating on PGTA testing for older women and those with recurrent miscarriages to either amber or green shortly, so there must be better evidence to support it in those categories.

TT82 · 19/09/2023 12:41

@kirstysmbc thank you!! Please update me with any new research on the PGTA field..
Meanwhile will get ready for the next cycle xx
