Thank you @Doughnut89 :)) when is your scan? I would say a little symptoms is better than no symptoms, it feels like something is going on in there ❤️

Congratulations on being PUPO @MrsMotts :)) fingers crossed!!

It's a great result from the EC @kirstysmbc !! Sorry to hear you had to have a change of plans but hopefully it will be worth it!! Worries at every step, isn't it 😬🙂 best of luck 🤞🤞🤞

Justkeepmoving1234 · 05/09/2023 09:42

Trying to decide whether to go in for another FET on my next cycle.

Unfortunately, my last cycle wasn't the one for me and it was a BFN. Just trying to decide whether it's better to wait, or just go for it! I'm really funny about timings and things being aligned...also a bit anxious about putting myself mentally though another round.

It's lovely to see some positive results @Summerishere83

Good luck to everyone

Lowo21 · 05/09/2023 10:16

@GCS34 good luck today hahaha ....dildocam! I don't think twice about it now ! Let me know how you get on! Wow 12mg that's lots, are you doing injections too? Yea Progynova is oestrogen. I found them quite painful but no major side effects. Yes I am on 6mg a day, I feel fine really but I'm guessing you may get more side effects... fingers crossed they are mild 😊

Lowo21 · 05/09/2023 10:19

@Justkeepmoving1234 I was so frustrated when I found out I was on a FET but there are actually quite a few positives and your body has chance to "get ready". Best to discuss with your clinic but if your BFN was due to anything specific - womb lining etc, they may be able to help with hormonal treatments. With FET I guess it's a bit more predictable on timings ?!

Justkeepmoving1234 · 05/09/2023 10:28

@GCS34 good luck for today!! You definitely earn the prize for being the most patient!!

@Lowo21 thanks, its good to luck at the positive side of it all. Definitely have been going through the frustration of even having to go through it all again!
The other frustrating thing is that there was no reason why the little bean didn't stick this time. 5 day blastocyst A, as well! Just goes to sure that grading is such a small part of it, in the grand scheme of things! Maybe it just wasn't meant to be!

I've decided I'm going to go for it on my next cycle in 2 and a bit weeks.

Where are you at with it all? I've completely lost track of everyone!

kirstysmbc · 05/09/2023 10:42

Thanks all for the good wishes. Just had the update call, 5 mature, 4 fertilised. Now to keep everything crossed for a good day 3 update.

Then there's the PGT decision to make (assuming any make it to day 5)...

Mez456 · 05/09/2023 10:57

Hi all, dipping in and out of this thread, so lovely to hear some positive stories! So my transfer date is Thursday!! Bloody terrified. My lining is chronically thick and even on prostap and NO oestrogen it's grown to 10.8mm yesterday! Started progesterone Friday when it was 8.4mm. Terrified it will grow too thick. Did anyone else notice their lining grew thicker with progesterone or is it just my residual oestrogen? Also embryos aren't pgt. Would be nice knowing it was genetically normal. Oh and I'm having nightmares of the embryo not surviving the thaw 😬😭

KG1244 · 05/09/2023 13:22

@kirstysmbc that’s a really great result. Fingers crossed for your day 3 update.

@Mez456 is this your first transfer? Lots of luck. The majority of embryos survive the thaw so try not to worry - I know it’s easier said than done.

had my first blood test today to confirm my hcg level 😬 tbh I don’t know even know what number I should be looking for 😂

hope everyone is doing ok xx

Fingers crossed for good results for you - this website is great for betas by dpo (so 5 + dpt if it was a blastocyst transfer)

@Lowo21 thanks lovely! I know, it’s been a while since I’ve seen him - my husband always feels massively inadequate when he comes to the scans 😂
scan was fine - lining 1mm and no dominant follies. Few remains still hanging about from EC but nothing really to report. Just heard from TFP now after their meeting and they’re happy for me to do a randomised start as I won’t have a period, so ready to rock tomorrow! (Only time I’m pleased my liking is 1mm!!)

yeah I know right’ all the drugs. Not on injections I’m on:

1 x 2mg, twice a day for 5 days (total 4mg oestrogen)
2 x 2mg, twice a day for 5 days (total 8mg)
2 x 2mg, three times a day (total 12mg) there on after.
scan day 10, (earlier than most) so Fri 15th, see how it’s looking and adding in patches if needed. Then transfer end of the month 🤞

how are you getting on? How are the symptoms and when is your scan? Are yours in injection form or tablets?

@kirstysmbc so pleased for your fertilisation amount! That’s great. Frustrating about the icsi and as @Doughnut89 said - annoying you’re having to foot the bill. When is your scan btw @Doughnut89 ?
thanks @Justkeepmoving1234! I feel like this is all practice for future babies 😂 really exciting you’ve decided to go for a FET on the next cycle. Will this be tf #2?

@KG1244 great news, although you said you didn’t know what it meant but what was the amount? 😂

Mez456 · 05/09/2023 14:06

@KG1244 thats so scary, how many days post transfer are to you? Sorry lost track you've tested positive right? I think the first result is just a baseline. Best of luck! Can I ask your embryo grading and were they pgt?

Yes first transfer. Literally bricking it 🤣

KG1244 · 05/09/2023 14:07

@kirstysmbc thanks lovely, that’s really helpful ❤️

@GCS34 so it’s just come back at 760. I have no idea if that is good. It feels high… sounds like things are moving along for you. How do you feel?

OP posts:
KG1244 · 05/09/2023 14:10

@Mez456 yep. I’m trying my best not to spend hours doom scrolling 😂 I’m 12dp5dt. Tested positive yesterday - definitely not processed it and still can’t believe it. I didn’t do PGT as under the nhs as they don’t offer it. Had an average embryo - 4BC.
This was my second transfer. First transfer with a higher grade failed. I know it’s a lot. Wear socks for your transfer (apparently it’s good to have warm feet although with this weather, I doubt that will be a problem!)

OP posts:
TTCMama17 · 05/09/2023 14:15

@KG1244 - omg that number does sound high! I think they normally want it to be on the higher side so that's really good to hear.

@Mez456 - don't be scared, I know it's easier said but at this point you've done everything that is in your control and now you just have to wait for the embabies to do what they can do! Also echoing what @KG1244 said, most embryos survive the thaw, it is very very very very rare for it to not.

How is everyone else feeling? I have already tested negative but I am getting the worst headaches every evening and waves of nausea! 7dpt5dt - test date is next Monday and I'm scared there's not much time for it to turn to positive.

Doughnut89 · 05/09/2023 15:03

@Summerishere83 and @GCS34 my scan is on Monday 11th 😬 I’m so nervous about it. But I guess as long as I’m still getting symptoms, I should remain hopeful.
@GCS34 good luck with all your drugs, that’s good you’re going to get a scan early 😊

@kirstysmbc thats fantastic news that you have 4 fertilised, congrats 🤗Also that Beta site you shared is really useful, thanks.

@KG1244 that’s really high from what I was told. You’re still in week 4 right? I was told anything from 25-750 was good for 4 weeks pregnant, but that the specific number didn’t matter too much as everyone’s different that early, the important thing is that it’s rising. However if you’re already at 760 I would say you don’t have anything to worry about. Can I ask how many embryos you had transferred?

Mez456 · 05/09/2023 15:07

@KG1244 thats a fantastic number bet you're overjoyed!!

@TTCMama17 theres still time. I didn't show up til 10 days late for period with my girl. Hopefully those headaches are symptoms! X

KG1244 · 05/09/2023 15:13

@TTCMama17 there is definitely still time. Could be a late implanter. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@Doughnut89 so I’m 12dp5dt, does that make me 4 weeks? I honestly have no idea! I just spoke to the nurse and she said she is happy with the number so I’ll take it 😂 just had the one embryo transferred. How many weeks are you?

@Mez456 thanks lovely. tbh I think IVF has made me a bit numb. It’s been a bit of a journey to get here so I think I’m finding it difficult to accept/process I’m pregnant. Hopefully in a couple of weeks, everything will still be good and it will sink in a bit more.

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 05/09/2023 15:32

@KG1244 Congrats!! At 12dpt, you are 4+3 weeks pregnant. 760 is a perfectly good/normal value for how far along you are.

KG1244 · 05/09/2023 15:42

@ASGIRC thank you so much ❤️ This is all very new to me so really appreciate the info xx

OP posts:
ASGIRC · 05/09/2023 15:44

@KG1244 with transfers, LMP is not important, date of transfer or egg collection is.
There are a few calculators online, so that you can check your estimated due date:

Mez456 · 05/09/2023 16:28

@KG1244 totally get it. We are incredibly lucky to have 2 naturally but 6 years trying for 3rd and lots of procedures, Drugs etc I can say I think I'd be the same. It's looking hopeful for you though. I don't think any of us can really celebrate until we have reached 2nd trimester xx

@Doughnut89 oh wow next week - lot long at all!!! Yay. Have you had your bloods recently? Or don’t your place do them? I know every clinic is different. I get your nerves. Especially when the stakes are so high but fingers crossed your symptoms are not lying to you!

thanks for your wishes. Yeah they’re bringing me in early to check due to my lining history, so they’re checking early so if they need to make changes theirs enough time to up the dose.

was yours a fresh? I forget who’s had what transfer, but I recall it being a fet for some reason!

@KG1244 I’m no expert on hcg levels at all, but from what people have said here and shared, sounds like it’s in a really good place! For some reason 600+ is stuck In my head. God knows why. who had their levels at 1,000+ the other week? Or am I making that totally up? 😅 I know what you mean about feeling numb. Think I won’t believe any of it until I have a baby in my arms!

@Mez456 i spoke to my clinic about the thaw and they said what @KG1244 said and irs super rare, and 99% are okay 🤞

Doughnut89 · 05/09/2023 18:23

@GCS34 yea I had bloods a week after my transfer when they were 150 and then 2 weeks post transfer when they were 3600.
My clinic did the first lot of bloods but refuse to do anymore despite me having worrying bleeding etc which is why I’m really fed up with them. They referred me to an NHS EPU who did the second lot of bloods and they’re the ones who booked me in for the scan next Monday to hopefully check the heart. When the EPU did the bloods they also did a scan to check it had implanted in the right place which thankfully it had. It was just a circular blob at that point but still nice to see something.

Thats honestly so good that your clinic are monitoring your lining now and looking at the dose, my clinic were so rubbish with that.

I had a fresh transfer but I’ve got 3 little embryos on ice on standby 😊

@KG1244 apparently high hcg levels can mean you’re having a girl 👀

@ASGIRC thats great that there are sites to also check due dates based on transfer. The NHS one only looks at LMP. My dates are the same either way as my IVF cycle mimicked a natural cycle which makes things easier

@Doughnut89 wow that’s some increase from week 1 to week 2! Was that 2 weeks post positive test, or post transfer? That’s amazing that the nhs epu have been so good with bloods, scans, and implantation check. It’s mad because you’d think the private clinic would be more on it with stuff like that than the nhs, so fair play for them stepping up for you. 🤍Was the bleeding not a concern for your clinic then? And did they not seem bothered about why it was happening? Could it be that Perhaps they don’t have the medical drs that are needed for understanding why it was happening, which is why they referred you?

either way those are some great numbers and so wonderful Mr. Blob is in the right place, and he’s growing by the sounds of those blood results 🥰 this is your first transfer right?

yeah they’ve been really good with me throughout. Completely personal protocol based on what I’ve had in the past and my issues, and they’re so on it with the lining stuff.

I also had a new blood test today which they said is now going to be standard across all clinics which is the thyroid TSH bloods which, if they are high, are linked to miss-carriage, and all the studies have been conclusive in it helping reduce them. So they’re now rolling them out and I had those today - have you or anyone else had that test?

kirstysmbc · 05/09/2023 19:25

@GCS34 Thyroid function test has been a standard test at my clinic since I joined them in 2020. Thyroid issues are known to cause issues in fertility / pregnancy. I thought it was standard at all clinics, but good that you're now being tested. If there is an issue, you'll need to take meds to get it in range before you can start treatment.
