I had the thyroid function test too @GCS34, my clinic said it was standard.

ASGIRC · 05/09/2023 19:53

@Doughnut89 I did my transfer on a natural cycle, but id be 1 or 2 days farther along going by LMP!
In any case, these calculators are great! No shadow of a doubt on dating!

TTCMama17 · 05/09/2023 20:15

No headache tonight so not really got any symptoms! Starting to lose hope at 7dp5dt! Did anyone else have a positive after then?

GCS34 · 05/09/2023 21:24

kirstysmbc · 05/09/2023 19:25

@GCS34 Thyroid function test has been a standard test at my clinic since I joined them in 2020. Thyroid issues are known to cause issues in fertility / pregnancy. I thought it was standard at all clinics, but good that you're now being tested. If there is an issue, you'll need to take meds to get it in range before you can start treatment.

@kirstysmbc @Hopingforno2in2023 ah I might have got mixed up then. They asked me today if it had been done last year at my gp referral and I couldn’t see it so they ran it again. I was sure I’d had it before as they thought I had over active but I hadn’t so obviously had something. Maybe the clinic confused me today as they mentioned it like it was a new thing… either way it’s in the normal range but I didn’t know much about it till today and it sounded as if it was new but I was sure I’d had it already tested.

@Lowo21 and other TFP’ers, you guys had it?

@Hopingforno2in2023 where are you at currently with your journey?
@TTCMama17 i don’t think no symptoms is necessarily a bad thing. It’s still crazy early right, so it might come soon! Hopefully you’re just plain sailing symptom free with a BFP. When is otd?

TTCMama17 · 05/09/2023 21:28

@GCS34 - OTD is Monday so nearly a week away! It’s just hard to read about others with symptoms and I’m there like yeah mine are disappearing. My last transfer failed and this one is a lower grade so losing hope. It seems like a lot of people get their BFPs on day 7!

@TTCMama17 yeah I get that. It’s hard to see everyone else having loads of symptoms, but it doesnt meant anything really until that test. I know two people who had loads of symptoms on their failed rounds and no symptoms on their successful rounds, so hopefully that gives some reassurance or at least 🤍 are you waiting until Monday to test? X

KG1244 · 05/09/2023 22:50

@GCS34 @TTCMama17 I definitely had more symptoms in my 2WW on my failed round. Don’t let the symptoms drive you mad @TTCMama17 I know it’s really hard ❤️

Justkeepmoving1234 · 06/09/2023 06:07

@TTCMama17 i know it's really hard, but I definitely had more symptoms and felt more pregnant on my failed round, than my successful one. The only symptom on my successful round. Hang in there 🙏

Hopingforno2in2023 · 06/09/2023 06:52

I am in the waiting for my natural period stage @GCS34 which is proving long and dull 😂 I should be able to pick up my testosterone prescription today ready for later in the month so that is some little progress at least. On the one hand I want it to be October already but on the other hand I feel bad about wishing away bits of DS’ childhood!

Lowo21 · 06/09/2023 07:03

@kirstysmbc @GCS34 no never had a thyroid test with TFP but I vaguely remember something being done when I was diagnosed back in 2008 🤔
@Doughnut89 I have to say TFP clinic have been so responsive and not refused to do things and have done above and beyond - often at no extra cost. Would you be able to go to a private clinic just to have bloods or scan?

@GCS34 how are you feeling? Starting meds whhooop !! I'm off for my day 12 scan this morning, I don't know why but I am super anxious. I guess it's all getting so close l just feel like something is going to stop me getting to transfer day! I have a preliminary transfer date for next Tuesday 12th but it may change if my lining isn't up to standard yet !! Glad you aren't too far behind.

Is there anyone else on similar timeframe ??

@Lowo21 @Doughnut89 i agree TFP have been fab with me. Totally personal plan and due to my pcos being quite bad, they gave me extra scans in the stim phase too. I think I ended up with 6 scans before EC. Where are you?

@Lowo21 thanks!! Starting on a normal person dose for the first few days then it’ll be going up and up. Bless you. I totally get the nerves. I was the same for my first scan in stim phase. I think it is because you have no idea whether things have worked or not so you’re a bit in the dark. And don’t have anything to go by as it’s your first too. Hopefully it’ll great. What time is it and Have you had thick linings before?

next week sounds amazing!!! Have you had any more side effects or Just pretty normal?

TTCMama17 · 06/09/2023 10:38

Hey! How’s everyone feeling? I woke up this morning with a sore throat but I also cried myself to sleep last night so probably because of that.

Sorry for the downer post, these hormones are really nasty with messing with emotions! :(

i hope everyone’s okay and feeling positive. I’m remaining optimist until OTD, it’s not over until then right?

Lolly2507 · 06/09/2023 12:29

Hey guys turns out we might be able to do a September transfer because my levels are all coming down so I might not need the month wait between fingers crossed! They've asked us to confirm by tomorrow which embryo we would like to implant and I've got no idea tho Hahaha how do you even go about deciding I thought they'd do it for us!

@KG1244 congratulations! How exciting I'm so pleased for you

CDiamond · 06/09/2023 15:09

Anyone with success stories with a 4BB embryo?

Just had my embryo transfer today of a 4BB. Same grade as last transfer (which failed). So heartbroken I dont seem to ever get any A grades.

@TTCMama17 oh god that's heartbreaking 😓Hope you're feeling okay. Is it anything in particular or a cocktail of drugs that are messing with you?
I have officially started my road to transfer - 1 tablet down, 223 to go 😂FML 🙈

@CDiamond I have only got B's and C's so less of the negative talk on them 😂😜

TTCMama17 · 06/09/2023 15:51

@GCS34 - probably the cocktail of drugs! I woke up fine this morning so think it's the meds messing with my emotions!

Wooo at least you're on the journey, that's exciting!

I'm now 8DP5DT and started to get some dull period like cramps - has anyone experienced these and gone on to having a BFP? Pains are just like my period ones.. the countdown to OTD means I'm noticing every little thing that happens!

@Lolly2507 amazing news!!! Are you in for a planning appointment or is everything set and ready to go? I started day 1 of my short FET protocol today, so hopefully you'll be on the same timeframe😊

What are your embryo's if you don't mind me asking? not that it makes much difference unless you have some day 3s or day 5s? Is this your first transfer? I didn't get the option they just went with the top one, but the Embryologist will be in touch nearer the time to discuss

@TTCMama17 That's good you feel better today. When is your scan again? Drugs are horrible aren't they? Makes us completely irrational. Me and my husband were talking about it yesterday and how it's complete BS that we even have to think about these sorts of things, where as, quote un quote, "Normal'' people don't have to think about any of this and all these things happen naturally. It's bonkers how we feel everything ten times more, even though it's the same hormones they are experiencing naturally.

Sorry for some reason I thought you had already tested positive. It's Monday your OTD right? I honestly lose track of everything - can rarely remember my own dates haha

Doughnut89 · 06/09/2023 16:14

@Lowo21 and @GCS34 that’s really great that you’ve had such experiences with TFP, I’m so pleased for you. I think it makes such a difference. Mine haven’t followed up about my Cyclogest prescription (I’m due a re-fill soon) and they also haven’t been in touch about a viability scan yet which is included in my package. They honestly only care when they can get money out of you 🙄

@TTCMama17 I’m so sorry the meds and hormones are affecting you so much. It’s such a big ordeal what we put ourselves through with the IVF treatment plus the longing for that BFP. It is soo hard not to symptom watch, before I had my three failed IUIs this year when I decided to do this journey on my own, I had previously been trying with an ex-partner and would be symptom watching every month and it drives you crazy.
My only real symptom other than the bleeding which I had for the first two weeks has been morning sickness which only started within the last week. And that’s all I have. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the symptoms (I know easier said than done) as everyone’s different. You’re still a good few days off your OTD so don’t give up hope. I’ll be praying and keeping everything crossed for you 💕💕

@CDiamond i think 4bb is considered a good grade. Congrats on your transfer today!

@Lolly2507 that’s so exciting that you might be able to do your transfer this month. What were your grades? Will you have more than one transferred?

KG1244 · 06/09/2023 16:49

@CDiamond if it’s good enough for freezing, it’s good enough to make a baby. My 4BC was transferred last month and I got a BFP on Monday.

@Doughnut89 Sorry yours are not pulling their weight with stuff. And the fact you've not had more progesterone delivered! When are you due to run out? And how are you feeling for Monday? Is this actually with the clinic, or is it with EPU? It's so sad that they're not paying much attention now that you're pregnant. Surely it's in their best interest to look after you as it helps with their live birth rate so you'd have thought they'd have been all over it! What clinic is it if you don't mind sharing? Are others at the same clinic experiencing the same?

@CDiamond I think it was @TTCMama17 who said recently that Grades are a beauty contest, so try not to be too down on yourself for not having A grades. I can't remember who shared it, but their was something a few days on here aout the grades relating to thawing or something? I can't remember the ins and outs. I'll try find the post. Anyway, good luck and congrats on having the embribaby on board!

CDiamond · 06/09/2023 17:39

Thank you @KG1244 @Doughnut89 and @GCS34 !

TTCMama17 · 06/09/2023 17:42

Thank you all. I'm trying to remain optimistic and keep myself busy. I really have to remember that it's all out of my hands now and I have to trust embaby will do what they can do to stick on! Not really any symptoms apart from some dull AF like pain and that went away with some paracetamol and a midday nap!

One day, I'll be a mummy and until then I'll be praying for all women (who want it) to have happy and healthy pregnancies that lead to happy and healthy babies!

For the poster (sorry, I can't find you) worried about her embryo grading. I have done countless research and the grading system is so out of date. It is a beauty contest and all depends on the embryologist too. What is a B grade at some places is an A grade at others. I've read about women who have had perfect and I mean perfect embryos with no BFP and then some women who have had ungraded embryos with babies! Your clinic would not freeze anything they didn't think would be a viable pregnancy, remember it affects their statistics too and its in their interest to attract more custom! I hope that brings you some comfort.
