Just had the call. One tough little embryo has turned into a top grade day 5 blast! Transfer at 12 🤞🏼🥰

is the progynova the estrogen? So you’re on 6mg a day?
they’re whacking me on 12mg - not looking forward to that! Date with Dildocam tomorrow then we’ll be right behind you all being well. 😬 any words of wisdom?

I’ve been away for a few days so just catching up but huge congrats @Summerishere83 and @KG1244 on your BFPs that’s so exciting! I hope it’s smooth sailing here on out for you.

I’m six weeks now and my morning sickness has well and truly kicked in. I’ve ordered anti sickness wrist bands and I’m trying to nibble on ginger biscuits at my sisters advice.

I have a scan next week to see how the little bean is doing and check the heartbeat. I’m sooo nervous about the appointment but at least I’m having symptoms so I guess that’s a good sign.

How’s everyone else doing?

Egg collection done, 6 eggs collected so better than the 1 or 2 they initially thought. Donor sperm hadn't thawed quite as well as expected, so may need to add in ICSI, more money 🤦🏻‍♀️. Will get a call later today if that's the case, or tomorrow with a fertilisation update.

Hope there's something still going by day 5, then just have to make the decision round PGT... So many anxious waits in this process

@GCS34 Thanks, just had a call to ask me to make a decision re icsi as it was borderline. I went with their recommendation to go ahead, but now really worried I'm going to lose loads of eggs to damage, and had to pay a fortune more as well 😞

@kirstysmbc i think whatever decision you made, you’d always think of the other and if you should have done that. If you’d chose ivf, you’d worry you’d miss out on a few not getting into the egg. And if you chose icsi, you’d worry about damaging the egg. Trust them and your choice. You got this 🥰

@kirstysmbc congrats on your six eggs being collected, that’s great. The clinic are experts in the field so I’m sure your eggs will be safe. Though that’s really annoying that you had to pay more because the donor sperm didn’t thaw as well as expected. You’ve already had to pay for that sperm and the treatment, it feels like it should be their responsibility to cover the additional ICSI cost. But that’s just my opinion.
I also used donor sperm but I’ll admit I don’t fully understand the science behind it
